My mom spoke of shoulder pain a few years before she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. She saw Michael J. Fox as her hero. Had all of his books and lived with hope due to Mr. Fox’s work with his foundation and his unwavering optimism for a cure. Up until her passing in ‘21 at the age of 86, mom always had hope. She once said she hoped Mr. Fox would see a cure in his lifetime. Thank you, Michael, for your hard work you have shown in your wonderful performances, your dedication to finding a cure for Parkinson’s and for making this world a better place.

I found the video very interesting. Michael J. Fox was my favorite actor. I regularly watched his TV show "Family Ties" and watched his movie "Back to Future" more than once. I admire his fighting spirit against this horrible disease and appreciate his creativity.

It affects not only the person with PD, but those around her. My wife is a hero, and takes the condition very well. The frustration of the condition is that generally treatment is limited.. My soul mate had Young Onset Parkinson's. It was difficult to see Joe's illness progress, but i would relive our 11 years together. I think of him daily. Joe read Micheal J.'s books. I too have a type of Parkinsons, I have MSA ( Multiple systems atrophy) or Parkknsons + as it is also known. Life has changed, but it is just another challenge. My Neurologist keeps telling me he can't believe I'm still walking... Living with Epilepsy all of my life I can understand the trials and tribulations of living with a deteriorative neurological condition. Life has been a real struggle but I do my best to stay positive and keep moving forward as best I can.
The sad thing is embryonic stem cell research has never yielded a single usable therapy, while adult stem cell research has yielded over 70. If the funding and push were toward what we know works, it wouldn't be such an issue. Dealing with chronic illness is tough. Being realistic about what works and what doesn't is also important.
There is triumph in this tragedy. A much-needed cure research for Parkinson's Disease has huge attention now because of beloved Michael's diagnosis. His foundation's mission is to end Parkinson's in our lifetime.

There is a Brazilian Doctor Marc Abreu (ex teacher of YALE and Harvard universities) with a clinic in USA and his Parkinson's patient's are almost totally cured of that disease, cancer and Alzheimer as well. Michael J Fox would be a very good candidate for this doctor treatment (brain thermal tunnel).

Yes, it is tragic bc we feel we know him. He's been in our homes and lives for many years. But what about all the thousands of Michael's we don't know? Cancer is another big one. Do we feel just as bad for them? I do ... I definitely do care about all equally. Respect for those who have devastating illnesses, especially those without cures.

My husband has parkinson.,He was in the army,and was introduced to agent orange on a Island he was on.after many year of fighting with the Army..he was granted a increase in pay..but does that help NO.He takes so many drugs.and will never be shakeless again .Parkinson is one of the worst illness to live with .GOD BLESS ALL THAT HAVE IT

Parkinson’s disease is a Horrible disease. I have Essential Tremor, which is a Non- Parkinson’s Tremor. I finally had to undergo DBS (Deep Brain Surgery) to help me function without the horrendous tremors. The pain is extremely severe. It SUCKS!

Michael J Fox is a person from a better time. A gen X Hero. And a good American. Something there is just not enough of these days. Thank You to Michael J Fox for all the joy you brought and bring to us. I do think we can all agree he will always have a place in our hearts. He is an inspiration to so many and I for one, just want to send my best and a big Thank you.
There is a Brazilian Doctor Marc Abreu (ex teacher of YALE and Harvard universities) with a clinic in USA and his Parkinson's patient's are almost totally cured of that disease, cancer and Alzheimer as well. Michael J Fox would be a very good candidate for this doctor treatment (brain thermal tunnel).

Yes, it is tragic bc we feel we know him. He's been in our homes and lives for many years. But what about all the thousands of Michael's we don't know? Cancer is another big one. Do we feel just as bad for them?

Although stricken to a disability, he is a fighter on Human Awareness, Solutions are within the individual with the professionalism of the Medical Services to find a better place to live life easier, exercising his physical abilities as capabilities arise and am thankful to hear about medication side effects when under medications. It's a fight to and for life which is Admirable to know statements as "YOU CAN DO THIS" and keep thriving It makes a difference for anyone with this illness. Prayers Any Can "Own this" perseverance and not let the disease get you down - theoretically With Stillness. Exercise, Circulating, Socializing and Humbled with not aggressive Humility to bring down and pout. Emotions Can Be Lifted and Stay Positive. Michael J. Fox Is A Hero Not to take Medicine. My husband has parkinson.,He was in the army,and was introduced to agent orange on a Island he was on.after many year of fighting with the Army..he was granted a increase in pay..but does that help NO.He takes so many drugs.and will never be shakeless again .Parkinson is one of the worst illness to live with .GOD BLESS ALL THAT HAVE IT
I feel for him stuck in a body that is not what inside- I too have had a 30+ year old disease where I am inside this lemon. And mom , uncle each had ALS -

When a Person can buy almost everything in life, your satisfaction and appreciation in life become small. Most of them find it in drugs that gives them happiness. Simple life makes you appreciate small things around you.
Bless him in the truest sense. Though I don't know him personally I feel a certain kinship with him. Optimist I am for sure. Too damn short I am as well, lol. I admire the fact that he has stayed loyal to his wife all these years - a rarity in Holywood most certainly. And I just loved the person who is Michael J Fox throughout his energetic & distinguished career. A lovely man I would say: a lovely wife and family too. My hope and my prayer is that despite all that they have had to endure, it would warm me greatly to know that deep down they are aware of how much God Himself loves them: Besides, our time on earth is but a vapour... as compared to the indescribable joy of Eternity ❤

Parkinson’s disease is a Horrible disease.
I have Essential Tremor, which is a Non- Parkinson’s Tremor.
I finally had to undergo DBS (Deep Brain Surgery) to help me function without the horrendous tremors.
The pain is extremely severe. It SUCKS!
