The bugs are being shipped in on items from other countries. Clothing, rugs, yarns, textiles. I’ve seen bugs on clothes at Walmart. One was a pair of socks. I took them off the hook, stretched them to see their give, I rolled the cuff down and saw something dark. I pulled it down farther and there was a bug attached to the ankle fold seam!
I am living in an Island and 2 months ago, I saw one bed bug when searching for any kind of insect that could be biting me. Well, it was important to confirm the type of insect. Bed bugs in the building!!! They came with travellers into suitcases and bags. Although I eliminated bed bugs at home, I warned to community and I keep watching and making treatments to avoid bugs came be back. This problems has grown a lot in last 20 years.
I'm an old lady 75, had a stroke 7 years ago. Walk with a walker. One of my aids had Bed Bugs and believed that she had sprayed her old rent house and got rid of them. She was just PURE DUMB !! So, she brought the bugs to my little HUD apartment. The first heat treat didn't get them all. My second is tomorrow. It has nearly driven me crazy 🤪 having to do the work done ( all alone ) to get ready for the treatment. It has been HORRIBLE !!
I caught them traveling. I freaked out wanting to blame somebody and kill somebody. When cooler heads prevailed I got down to decluttering, vacuuming, bagging and washing almost everything and kept in new bags. This was during a heatwave so it was miserable. Plus the demands at work needing me to work 12 hr days. I had to take a sick day to go to war. After the decluttering, I steamed, steamed and steamed, then steamed some more. Sprayed with Crossfire and dusted with Cimexa. The battle was won. Two weeks later I sprayed again with Crossfire and dusted once more and three years later. The war was won. Don’t forget to encase your mattress and box spring. And be vigilent. Cimexa allegedly last 10 years but I dust quarterly
Airbnb in a Strata building creates a nightmare. Due to the traffic the bedbugs are increasing. To combat them you need the whole community working together. However, the owners of units participating in Airbnb tend not to report their infestations as the process for treating the units can take over a week and they loose money if they can't get money for their unit. Instead they tell no one and will do a cursory treatment or spray so they can keep renting. Their greed creates a problem for the entire community in the building.
Yes bed bugs will thrive anywhere they decide to set up shop because there's a reason they nested in a particular location in the first place... And the only reason bed bugs still exist is because we have done a terrible job of collectively getting rid of them... BTW it doesn't surprise me that Ohio is near the top of the list for bed bug infestations because as a man who lives in Longmont Colorado I think to myself just picture a bunch of people as dusty as the sorry looking people who live here but just a whole state of it...
If you think you've got problems, my gov't here in Canada won't let me have Cimexa, Temprid, Crossfire to name just a few. We're defenceless, what is up with that? There's DE and that's about all. My neighbours have likely got bedbugs now for the sole reason that I couldn't get these things. (landlord sent a cowboy who has no clue, random spraying twice with God knows what and that's all)
@@papafrank1301 Cockroaches can eat anything. Bed bugs can't reproduce without blood meals. Cockroaches are also better climbers and move faster. German cockroaches win hands down!

Yea they have to go. They need to simply eliminate them from the planet or reprogram them to feed on something else
😱

Horrid creatures. I’m surprised Noah let them on the Ark, but I guess he was under orders.
She didn't mention diatomaceous earth
It works?

What is harder to get rid of in a home or apartment, bed bugs or German cockroaches?

The issue is all the ILLEGAL immigration. You can see the identical grade of growth of each on a graph.
Will these bed bugs bite dog's and cats
Yes they will
They don’t like to crawl through fur, but they can. They prefer humans.
@@GreenLeefMusic Why did you answer with s false answer?
I don’t know if they are supposed to, but we had them so bad, the poor cat became severely anemic from their bites.
Yup. They sure will. Don’t believe different
