Does the touchpad button work at all. Mainly what I’m getting it for. I don’t care about swiping around the touchpad, I just want to use it as a button. And if not, can it be remapped?

These brook adapters are amazing. I’ve got the one that lets you use PS4 controllers on PS2 and the one that lets you use Xbox One/Series S controllers on Dreamcast and they both work flawlessly. I recently bought the new white Series S controller separately just for my Dreamcast and it’s such a great fit!
I've got those too. I can't fault Brook stuff. They're really good.

Just got this. I was sceptical but goddamn, it actually works!
Currently using it with a ps5 controller on a X series X.
As an active 360 player (The arcade library there simply can't leave me free, haha) this adapter is precious, getting original XBOX 360 Arcade Sticks is becoming a nightmare (Thank you "collectors"...), and doing padhacks with the chinese controllers is something not everybody can actually do.
So, this adapter helps a lot, especially in that department, thanks for sharing how it works on the SerieSX! I'm very happy it also works there!
Nice video. I'd to add that the converter is also a boon to fans of fighting games who are holding on to their fight sticks from previous generations. I recently got a Wingman XB to use my PS4 with the Series X. So far it appears to work flawlessly. This is huge since the selection of fight sticks for the Series is still pretty limited and the better ones are not cheap.
Recently, it's compatible with the original Xbox.
Just get the female USB to Xbox adapters...
And you might wanna get four of the Wingman XB converters and four USB to Xbox adapters for 3-4 player arcade games (i.e. Mercs, Rampage, Gauntlet)...
Crazy. It's like the adapter the Colecovision had that let it play Atari 2600 games. The one and only time that ever happened.

It sure is. Love the option to slow down the Analogue stick speed for a more accurate aime.
OK I just got this for Christmas. The dualshock 3 works absolutely amazingly on my series x with zero noticeable input lag. However when I tried my switch pro controller there was definitely some very noticeable lag and I'm on the latest firmware update

I am unable to pair my 8bitdo SN30 controller. Its the older one without the analog sticks that mimics the US SNES design. Im wondering how you got your 8bitdo controller to work considering its not listed under the Wingman XBs supported controllers.

Does this adapter add any latency between the controller and the system? This looks awesome, I've been looking for a way to use my PS4 controller on either of the next gen consoles, this looks like such an easy solution

On the series X, any refresh mode will work fine. I used to keep my Series X in 120htz mode but in the end knocked it back down to 60htz because Dolby Vision wouldn't work at 120htz. HDR did though. Odd that is.
so I haven't seen anyone with the same problem as me. I connect my Ps4 controller via the usb and it works no problem, once I remove the usb the power stays on for a sec, then the controller turns off/ loses connection, when I turn it back on, it always connects and turns on, but turns off within a couple of seconds EVERY TIME, the current firmware update only mentions original x box controller activity, what am I missing here and I can't find any solution....

Can you remap the "select" to the touchpad? Right now the ps4 touchpad is mapped to "share" but in a lot of games on the ps4 the touchpad functions as select and I hate accidentally hitting the touchpad and taking screenshots. I have this converter and I hate having to hit the share button whenever I want to hit select. Whenever I try to remap it it doesn't work and I was hoping you know a way to fix this. Sorry to comment on a year old video

Does this let you know your XB1 controller and remap the buttons and still use it on the XB1? As in, basically use your OEM XB1 controller and add turbo and remapping to the buttons while still using it on the XB1.

Activate CEC on the Series X and you can use your TV remote to navigate the menus.

PS4 wheel, yes. PS5 stuff, I don't know. Not unless that feature can be added with firmware.

Since you have to plug in the Dualshock 4 wired into the wingman then unplug it and then it works wireless, do you have to do this everytime you want to use the ds4 with the adapter? Or just once and then it stays wireless
No converter is truly lag-free so I was wondering if you've ever found any tests that show the actual input delay? I've seen some older tests for Brook Super Converters saying that the input delay is up to 4-5 frames of input delay. Is this accurate? Thanks for another great upload Retro.
From what I've tried, the dualshock 3 has pretty much no lag and is really good for shooters but when I tried the switch pro controller, there was significant lag and was completely unusable. Hope this helps

So you're saying I can order another Dualshock 4 from Aim controllers and have a custom pro DS4 again but on my SX? I cannot get used to the Xbox controller layout anymore (on a side note do not get a Turtle Beach Recon) and as such I'm using the 8bitdo Pro 2 Xbox version (PS layout).
It's great for the most part, only the face buttons are spaced further apart (than the DS4) and they've also got so much more travel on them than the DS4, so I can actually press in the button without it activating.
Aim mod official controllers so I don't see any reason why I couldn't order another controller from them and use that on my Xbox. Not really something I want to trial though as shipping/return times and overall cost of the experiment as a whole is something I can't really do.
noticed you have the 8bitdo M30 controller pictured but it isn't fully compatible. I purchased the Wingman XB with the M30 and the C button doesn't work. the Z button works but the C is a mirror of the Z. it did connect just fine though but do have to use another official controller for "start."
I never noticed that. Maybe try updating the firmware on both the Wingman and M30. Could be a strange bug.
Also in the thumbnail pic you have sega 6 button controller shown, does the adapter work with that as well?

Mine connect's to my switch pro controller wirelessly but it doesn't work wirelessly, it only works plugged in

What about rumble? Is rumble supported on other controllers when used with this? I've seen this thing work all the way back with the original Xbox with a USB to Xbox adapter.
I got rumble but I've only tried it with 1st party pads.

Humm I can't seem to get my ps5 controller to work. On the package it says I could use the ps5 controller but when I plug in my usb into it, nothing happens
I'm afraid I can't help there. I don't have a PS5. Maybe you need to update the firmware on the adapter.

I would imagine that should work just fine. I haven't tried with this particular controller converter but I have done it with the Brooke Series X adapter that allows series X controllers to work on a PS4.

I'm not sure. I never noticed mine doing that. Best to check out Brook's site to see if there is a firmware update. Its possible Sony may have updated the controller firmware.

Mine works, a few minutes, and then takes no signal. I'v received it today, updated it with the latest firmware, and it works, but it doesn't even works long enough to play, even if i stay in the menu, after a few second it takes no input; anyone knows what's wrong?
Sounds like either in your room there is too much wireless interface from other WiFi or other Bluetooth devices. Try it in another room or it could just be a faulty unit?
@@RetroCore Thanks for the advice. Maybe interferences, it sounds right as there's a bunch of electronic devices around. I'll try to test this with less things around.
@@RetroCore ooh I didn't mentioned that the controllers I'm using are all wired, so, does waves from other devices still can interfere, if so, the solution would be to disable Bluetooth on the Brook adapter, and as much as there's a bunch of other electronic devices around, none of them use Bluetooth. But if it's the problem I bet disable it it is the best option since bad waves may be incoming from neibourghs.
I recently got an Xbox Series S and want to use my PS4 Power A Fusion Pro wireless controller. Wired it plays great through the Wingman XB but I can’t get Bluetooth to pair for love nor money. Tried your tips but still nothing. Any ideas anyone?
It is possible that the power A Fusion Pro is not compatible. Bester check on the Brooke official forum.

I assume when you pair a PS4 controller with your Series X and then turn on the controller after pairing, it will ALSO turn on your PS4, correct? I guess you should unplug your PS4 first to prevent issues with this?
No, it didn't for some reason. I don't really use this adapter much though. I used another Brooke one for my Series X controller. It allows me to use that on a switch or PS4. That adapter has a little switch on it to select between systems. It also has no problems switching on either the PS4 or Series X via the controller.
@@RetroCore interesting, thanks. The official Series X controller that came with my console has started to run a little warm the last few weeks...for some reason. Don’t think it’s the battery...just holding it during gameplay, it feels a bit warm. That’s why I might get one of these adapters and use a DS4 or 360 controller instead. Also, do you need to re-pair the DS4 each time with the adapter or does it “remember” it after the first time?

The original USB Saturn controller won't work, I tried that one. But the new Bluetooth ones will work. I've not got one to try but I see no reason why they wouldn't.
Just be careful when buying 8bitDo controllers. Some such as the 6 button Mega Drive one are not Bluetooth but actually 2.8Mhz frequency transmitters. These are actually more responsive than Bluetooth but aren't compatible. 8BitDo do sell Bluetooth versions as well.
Would be a Retro-Bit one for me- same as the Megadrive ones they do- clear grey Saturn USB one! Works a treat on PC in both xinput and dinput- I even use it for PS1 emulation! With a lil tweaking to the buttons of course- but if you've ever used one of those PS fighting joypads with a 6 face button layout it's not really an issue- I only have to bind a select key for the keyboard though as the saturn lacked one of those~

No, that it not normal. Maybe your Series X controller needs an update? I don't use this with my Series X Controller, I use the X one SE Adapter (Second Edition). Amazing adapter that let's me use the series X controller on Switch and PS4.
Do you need to pair by usb cable every time you restart the machine for a ps4 controler? Or just the first time you pair the system?
USB should work every time after the first set up. Wireless needs to be paired each time if I remember.

@@loopiefn I don’t use it anymore, but when I did I was able to just plug my xbox controller and the PlayStation controller in at the same time and I just plugged the mic into the xbox controller and it worked.
@@loopiefn You seem like you play fortnite. Personally I wouldn’t buy it for fortnite because I tried it on there and it feels so weird. Like I’ve used a playstation controller on a ps5 before and it feels fine. I don’t really think it’s good for fps games.

Yep, works straight out of the box. There maybe a firmware update as with everything these days 😢 but when I tried mine it worked without any updates.

I beleive so.
That's because the 360 uses a specific and propietary Wireless, using Wired controllers do not need anything else, using Wireless (Third party, or not) needs that adapter, mind you, the adapter takes up to 4 players, so probably can take 4 controllers in a single adapter.

Don't know. I've never tried it. I've never used the audio jack on any controller ever come to think of it.

If you own an Xbox, then you most likely already own a control, so it is not the target.
What if you own both consoles but you want to use one control (because you feel comfy with it).
