@@Omnipotent8383 WotC's longest serving employee in the D&D department, he has held many roles over the years (including at one point just being in charge of the whole caboodle). He is currently the lead designer on a lot of the official campaigns, and generally the guy in charge of lore for the official settings, which makes him the closest thing there is to a grand high DM of DMs. But he is well known (to the extent D&D people are) mostly because has done a lot of high profile DMing at conventions and on the internets, notably including Acquisitions Inc. for many years, and, most relevant here, DMed the D&D show that Jared was on.
... Now I'm sad and can't stop thinking about Noah 'Spoony One' Antwiler.

Hilarious video. I find the incredibly campy acting to be charming. It's clear that the actors at least had fun making the video.
Don't worry, Jared. It's not your fault that UA-cam's system is so broken now that sponsorships are becoming the only way for content creators that don't pump out a dozen videos per month to make money. The folks at RAID saw the opportunity created by UA-cam to make money off of their platform and they took it.

Even being a player of Raid for so long, its a relief to see people actually make their sponsorship fun and use actual recorded gameplay starting off instead of flashing all those legendaries.

Dude, your Raid ad should just straight up be the official ad for the game. I've seen plenty a brand deal for it, but this is the closest that I've come to actually getting it.

I remember years back in the time of Spoony's old video, there were talks going around of a space themed spinoff game to Dragon Strike that came out around the same time as the original game. Apparently the whole VHS movie was recorded and is out there somewhere.

I work at a comic store and after recently going through some old comics, it seemed there was an enormous marketing push for this game. I found an old Ghost Rider comic where the only ads in the whole comic were for Dragon Strike. Kind of a fun coincidence that Jared mentions it now.
Literally one of my favorite memories growing up. I had no idea how to play the game or what the hell was going on in the tape but I’d make up my own rules and it was so much fun. dragon strike has a special place in my heart

In Fire Emblem 5, healing magic can miss. Although, it's also the only game where it can double cast. In Disgaea, ninjas can dodge friendly healing magic unless they cast it on themselves.
Heck, even using Shield in general; the 5e version as a reaction is even more a kick in the pants for a low-level wiz
@@raziyatheseeker my players used to rely on it, just constantly using higher and higher spell slots for it. The look on their faces when I casually block a 9th level magic missile is priceless.
I had this growing up...And I gotta say that I loved that crappy video. I watched it all the time. It was when Army Of Darkness came out so my 9 year old brain couldnt tell them apart. I thought they were in some weird shared universe. Man..This takes me back. To this day it has huge nostalgic value.
Oh.. the game was cool too.
I've played a full DnD campaign that was Army of Darkness based. It took months to do and was worth it. Evil Ash and his army of Deadites ended up winning.

Not gonna lie, HeroQuest got me into DnD. It also made me realize how fun being a DM would be.
It also made me realize how much work it was to come up with my own dungeons and stuff, so my DnD DM deeds take a backseat to my ADHD more often than not.
Normally I'd be all "eww Raid Shadow legends" But I'm just glad that Jared got a sponsor in this case.
