Thank YOU Ruben for sharing all of your knowledge with the world for FREE! I learned a lot from watching your videos. Your passion for flamenco is infectious and you are a real force of nature on the guitar!!! Gracias para todo🙏🙏🙏
I have 2. I have the Carlos Juan system which he installed, which is excellent. My other one was installed in the states which I can’t recommend unfortunately. But I can tell you they sound great acoustically Miked in the studio. On a Neumann mic we were rolling off bass which on a flamenco was quite a surprise. I expected it to be weaker. If you have the big sound port you have to be extra careful with humidity in winter, as the guitar is wide open. I have the models with 2 small holes in the front. Definitely planning on one more, and also Ruben Diaz is an excellent teacher, phenomenal musician , a wonderful human being, and will help you with choices. No issues with shipping at all.
Nice! I have spoken with Carlos a few times, I am hoping to try one of his pickups soon. What was the pickup you had installed in the states out of curiosity?
I feel like you could make any guitar (no matter it's quality) sound beautiful, but this guitar certainly has character! Hopefully we wll hear some of it in your upcoming album! Keep it up!
Thank you very much Dionysis! This one won't be on the new album but there will be some flamenco on it of course🤘 I look forward to hearing more of your work as well my friend!!!

@@alexiosanest Well i will do it then, i don't know how to play flamenco, i only knew just some min basic about rhythm and i have basic ''classical'' guitar technique. So i need to learn a lot, but I'll do it now when i saw your comment. Thx for responding . Wish you all the best!
they are all beautiful , and the sound holes work (dont know if your have it) but i cant enjoy the sound . The sound is very compress and bright kind of plastic sound , it has the flamenco Roar sound like Alhambra (thats nice) but i think lacks articulation and depth of the sound . I prefer my Cheap Paco Castillo 214F sound. Nice Played by the way
There's always something fishy about Ruben ngl bro. This whole Andalusian guitar thingie.. I just don't see it anywhere. No one sells it besides him. Ruben also heavily promotes it in a very uncomfortable way. If it's that good, why can't I see it in the hands of top flamenco players? Are they oblivious to this "God-Tier" instrument? Yea... no. I don't buy it. But hey, I'm glad you enjoy it.
All valid questions, I know what you mean. I think most top flamenco players really want that more traditional sound, like Conde etc. I have a Conde and I love it. I just like to experiment, and these guitars have some fun changes from the tradition.
I mean is it better than a Cordoba FCWE? Probably not, and that's whey Tonino Baliarda plays one. I'd like to try one of these as I see he makes some short scale instruments; but there is little to no availability or information on these instruments. Some have suggested they were built in one of those Paracho, Mexico guitar factories and that the workshop closed down or is experiencing major backlog on work. If so, they are definitely NOT worth 5k. And honestly, some of those "picado" runs sound pretty terrible like rubber-band staccato. The chords and arpeggios sound nice, so I can't tell if it's a technical deficit or the guitar doesn't have enough crispness to define the notes.
So, having been through the process, can you give any insights into who makes them and where ? There is much speculation and Ruben is less than transparent about it. With the kind of money these cost, there should not be any secrets. Especially when reputation has not even been established and the low quality of the audio on his channel give nothing away regarding the sound quality. Even the AG website doesn't have any good quality recordings.
I Reilly respect Ruben as an expert i really do. But you are right about the Lack of transparency of him. Does he owns the brand or benefits from the company by recommending them? Its really amazing that there is no information abaut this brand in the internet beside ag's website. And even ther it's Very very little
@@alexiosanest The answer to your question - Are they worth it? - No. How can an instrument with no provenance be held at such a high value ? Who makes it ? Where is it made? What is the track record of the builder? What is the reputation of the builder? Way Too many unanswered questions. Why the secrecy? It's time for Ruben or the Luthier to step out from behind the veil of mystery and show some transparency before continuing to expect such high prices for an instrument with no provenance ! Good luck to anyone trying to re-sell one. Personally I'll take a 1st class instrument from a reputable renowned Luthier with a history, any day over a mystery box for the same money !
@@alexiosanest Sure, I hear you. I'm certainly not denying that it might be a very good guitar. But all the deception around it leaves a bad taste. I'm also not a fan of Ruben himself. It didn't all start and end with PDL and to this day there are many amazing players out there, and I don't think Rubin is one of them.
