- Ben and his friends started The Buried Life in their parent's garage in 2006. They made a list of '100 things to do before you die’ and for every list item they accomplished, they helped a stranger to do something on his or her own list. What began as a two-week road trip quickly became something bigger.
Since 2006, The Buried Life have crossed off 'Make a TV Show’ (MTV), 'Write a #1 New York Times Bestseller', ‘Play Ball with Obama', 'Have a Beer with Prince Harry' and they have encouraged millions to believe that anyone can do anything. Nemtin and the creators of The Buried Life have recently launched Four Peaks Media Group, which is producing new series for MTV, HGTV and Bell, as well as The Buried Life feature documentary.

This is probably one of my favorite Ted Talks ever
1-find a solution. THE BURIED LIFE POEM. 2-stop excuses. 3- 100 things to do b4 u die. jot it down, even it is a joke. 4-believe anything is possible. 5-help people. 6-find the successful pattern. 7-what is important to YOU...stop and think about it. trust your gut. life moves fast. if u don't slow down, you may miss it. 8-write it down to make it real and tangible. 9-talk about it out loud. if you do not talk about it, it won't ever come to life.10- b persistant even if you hear NO. DONT STOP TRYING. EVEN IF THEY THINK YOU ARE CRAZY. 11-99% of the world doesn't shoot for unrealistic. dont underestimate yourself. 12-do good things for someone else. happiness is only real when it is shared.
I love Ben, and I miss the show so much. I wish they would bring it back on another network or something. The world needs more of this and less drama with reality tv.

What's the neatest thing you've been able to check off?
There’s so many good ones but the first one that popped in my head was when I graduated high school. The way I did it wasn’t traditional and when it finally happened it was right at the brink of the age cut off point. I did a lot of cool stuff so far but I feel like that may have been the hardest for me. If you knew my story and my history I think you would understand why

I got 9 months left to live, I got only 2 things left on my bucket list, one being building my own project car and maybe make it to Sema.... I'm currently working on it but I don't think I got enough time to finish, what do you think?

I think the challenge is picking what is most important to you. I mean there a million things to do before you die but which ones are the most important. How do you arrive at that conclusion of what is important and what is not. My method of dealing with this question is looking at my values. The thing I add to my bucket list must be aligned with my values. That is of course only one condition, there are others.......
