Love the boats. So many great youtubers do cars and trucks, but you're the best boat repairer on the tube. Keep them coming, homey!!
I love when these vids are posted
You’d really like “that boat guy” he’s from Florida and that’s all he does
I actually started watching because of the boat videos...
@@jaacksun4674 I know him he's good but he doesn't upload as much these days
@@jaacksun4674 Watching Chris’ videos then Thatboatguy has inspired me to get my 1985 Sears Gamefisher back in the water. I have a badass Tohatsu 25 two stroke on it. They have been sitting for 14 years.(Too busy working OT to raise 8 kids.) Now, with retirement a few years away, it’s time to get back to yanking fish out of their element. I’m loving the boat episodes.
this may sound weird but your shop is honestly dream shop material. years of tools and things collected, and you know exactly where everything is. i love it.
Good afternoon 😃 Chris I like 👍 the boat 🚤 and I think 🤔 it will run 🏃 I would keep the potty 🚽 it would be a nice 👍 thing to have 😮 maybe 🤔 Jan and Gus 😮 will help you out with the boat 🚤 also they might take a ride with you in the boat 🚤 you and Jen and Gus and turbo have a great weekend
For sure. There’s nothing better than grabbing a part off of YOUR shelf instead of another run to the store!
I love every boat video you have ever done, and I've been on a boat maybe 4 times. Just rewatched the trashliner playlist as that's good content.
Like so many are saying, the boat projects are great! I ALWAYS love seeing a boat in the thumbnail!
Same
What a difference it makes when a boat is stored inside, one of the best boats you've saved, wish I was close by I'd love to buy this one, thumbs up
Big YES to the boat vids. Nice change . And more Gus!! Lol
Keep up the boat content! I rediscovered your channel while watching your boat videos and it actually encouraged me to buy a fixer up boat and make good memories last summer and hopefully more in the years to come
I love boat videos. As a boat owner it's always fun to see people bring them back to live. Please continue making these
I can't speak for anyone else, but I like the boat revival content. 23:25 it was at that moment when he knew, he messed up 😅that noise thou..freaking woolly mammoth
Chris on the old style tnt you have to push the middle button and the top button or bottom button at the same time to make the TNT go up or down . That is why you see red on half of the middle button and the top button it red and the bottom is Green . The inline six it a GM Truck motor and its the best combo for a boat and drive you will ever have on a boat I love it . Again push both buttons for tilt or tilt down
Your editing is so above and beyond what other UA-camrs put together. Great job! Seeing even a small touch of Gus in your videos is the "icing on the cake". I know all your viewers love him. Jen is a Doll Baby. You are so fortunate to have been in the bar that night and approached her. A life-changing event.
I love the boat videos. Not many people do them. Thank you!
Great video. Really nice boat, obviously stored properly. Good to see an easy restart after all these years stored.
Another boat! Awesome. Hopefully this turns out better than the van.
No man. I always appreciate your boat content. Ignore the nay sayers. I just lost it. (ADDED)That tank vent sounded like a terrified Elk. lol
Love the boat videos ! I’m a marine tech and like watching the videos
I don’t understand how anyone would complain about your boat videos. I find all your videos entertaining.
Love the boat videos. That's how I found your channel. That old straight 6 is a ripper. I don't know how you find such nice old stuff for so cheap lol.
I enjoy the boat videos the randomness of your channel is what makes it awesome!
Love the boats!!
The boat videos are the reason I subscribed! Keep em comin' please
Excellent Elk call you got there @ 23:26 😂😂
Chris I love the boat videos. Even more than you car videos. The boat videos actually brought me to you channel!
I personally love the boat videos you do and the fact that you're always doing different stuff.
I'm not a big boat guy myself but I love all of your boat videos. All of them are super interesting I don't know how anybody can not enjoy it
It aways makes me home sick when I watch your show, in San Diego 22 years now. Grow up in Manayunk, down closer to philly…anywho love your show, boat or car or truck I will watch them all,
Thanks I aways learn something when I watch your show!!!
I've been watching you for awhile and I don't mind the boat videos at all.
Very cool project. Fun to see it go from sitting to flying across the water.
I rather boat vids than car vids, these are more interesting
Most of us like it when you work on boats. Love the cars, but look forward to your boat videos.
You have the Best Job possible Chris! Working For Yourself!
That front glass makes the boat
More boats!!!!! I love boats and jet skis and all aquatic vehicles!!!!
These boat videos are the best. It’s what got me watching your channel in the beginning!
Glad you like them!
I’m all about the History of the Old Rigs, each has a unique Story to Tell
Lol, that I6 yanked that boat up on plane! Torque monsters
love when you work on anything, but especially boats, since im a boat guy
I absolutely love the boat videos! I get excited every time I see one pop up. Ok, I lied. I get excited every time I see ANY of your videos pop up!
HEY! Hello Chris and Jen! Thumbs UP!
Hi, Richard!
I love the boats. I actually enjoy watching you work on about anything- it's fantastic to see your wealth of knowledge packaged with a keen engineering sense to figure out and fix dang near anything! edit: I almost used the word "intellect," but that seemed a little exaggerated talking about a Philly guy) (jk)
Former boater here loving the boat videos. Looking forward to the spring update.
I had a 1967 Lone Star, cutter crew with a 327.
It had a through the hull water pickup, direct to the engine mounted water pump.
It was nice not having to worry about the unreliable pump impeller in the out drive.
Love your videos. And thats awesome giving him the boat for a good deal and even helping him with repairs. Hope you video that. 🍻
Who needs cable when you got great UA-cam content like this.
Nice boat never saw a 6 cylinder mines a 120 horsepower 4 cyl and shes quick
i love both boat and car stuff. thanks for wrenching
G,day from Sydney Australia. Nice preserved glass boat.
*Good work trouble shooting the lack of engine cooling water flow rate, including temperature sensor and dashboard gauge.
* impressed with the air driven oil injection into the side throttle cable.
🌏🇭🇲
Best thing I like about your videos is the pure honesty in everything you do, your thoughts, actions, and no hiding how you live , just awesome. I wish I had your knowledge, and credit to you.
I love the boat videos. People will always find something to chirp about, just keep doin your thing! Thanks for the cool vid
I like any video you do Chris, I’m not picky like others! It’s always good to see you , Jenn, Gus and Turbo! I’m not a mechanic but I’ve learned more from you than any other channel on Utube! Thanks for sharing Chris, take care of yourself and get healthy my friend! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I like the boat videos the most keep it up good stuff.
I'm putting my vote in. Keep educating me on boats. I have learned so much. See if you can find Mercruiser 350 mpi to wrench on.
I like the boat stuff. It’s what first got me to this channel. However I do love the car stuff too. Keep doing what your doing
Had to laugh a little when thinking of all the boat videos, especially living in the city. Your a jack of all trades and master of none. You rock Chris
Started watching your channel because of boats
Love to the boat videos. I grew up near Neshaminy and my dad went to the Marine store in Croyden. We had a '69 Whaler with a '72 Evinrude. Thanks for your detailed videos
31:50 those hydraulic crimpers are AWESOME. I bought the exact same set from Harbor Freight about 10 years ago. I don't use mine for electrical cables, but i have been in charge of putting up a 200ft tall Christmas Tree "shaped" light pyramid every year that's made from 12 strings of LED rope light, and each string is 200 ft long and each one is hung from the hook of a construction crane and is hanging vertically under its own weight, so to prevent the rope light from tearing itself in half, we attach each stand to its own piece of 1/8" stainless steel wire rope (cable) to help support the weight of the rope light. Plus each stand has separate pieces of cable attached to it about half way up that runs to the ground at an angle (away from the light strand) and gets ancored to the ground, this keep the rope lights from getting blown around side to side in strong winds etc. anyway.. long story short, 12 strings at 200' long each, plus 2x 100' stabilizer legs for each light strand, youre talking about 4800 ft (almost a mile) of stainless steel cable, each one needs dozens of aluminum eyelets, ferrules, connectors.. all of which need to be hydraulically crimped, by hand, in the field, outside in October/November in the upper Midwest when its freezing out, and my little harbor freight hydraulic crimper (just like the one in this video) has worked FLAWLESSLY going on 10 years now!
Best investment ever! No regrets here. The only thing i ever had happen is occasionally the head will unscrewed from the body a little too much (it kind swivles) and if it unthreads too much the hydraulic oil will start to weep out and make a mess next time you go to grab it out the case. No big deal though, just twist it tight (dont over tighten, the threads are fine) and it seals back up perfectly.
Awesome tool! 👍
That boat slides across the water smoothly.
Great video Chris! It's amazing when you find the vintage equipment! Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks
I personally like the boat videos. It’s a nice break from the cars…
NNKH im here because of the boats and im all for it. ive only been on a boat a few times as a kid but was interested in things that could be wrong with one and how to fix it. after watching your vids its takin all the fear and guess work out of owning a boat
Hi thank you for the trip, just to let you know there are people who enjoy the boat videos, along with all the others you do 👍so thanks for all your hard work. 👍🐝🌞
Really love your channel and vibe. I’m mostly digging your boat exploits and heavy equipment. Super fun!
Chris you are an inspiration. I love everything about you ❤
It's amazing that everything you pull outta that boat was made in USA. It's a shame how times have changed
I enjoy both cars and boats
I enjoy the boat videos. Looks like a lot of us do!
Chris, solder those battery terminals on there, keeps out moisture. Propane or small torch will work. Keep up the good work. Merry Christmas to you, Jen, Gus and Turbo.
Just do what you like to do, that’s the best way to stay healthy. And lots of us like everything; boats, bikes, submarines, ufo’s, mopeds, cars etc. 😅
Nice work Chris, the only one we know that's a Jack of all trades but the Master also!
Just an FYI, if you didn't already know those dry chemical extinguishers after sitting for years even though they are in the green, they won't work properly. Take a rubber mallet and beat the sides and rotate end for end until you hear the powder sliding freely and not in a clump, from end to end. Should be done once a year.
Thanks for the tip and info!
Don"t listen to other Guys. I love the boat videos!
I enjoy the boat videos ,breaks it up some
what a great find! that thing is one of the better looking small boats of that era, good lines and appears a quality build.
I love the boat videos! That’s how I first found your channel
Ignore the haters!
I started following your channel a few years back for the cars, but now I'm really interested in your boat revivals , they're amazing
Yes most of us like the boats keep up the great work six stars brother
boat, car, e-bike, they all make for really good videos. It's very entertaining watching old things get revived. don't worry about the haters on the boat videos, there always gonna have something to say. also don't trust a 30 year old fire extinguisher, just buy a few new ones, leave that one or two in the garage.
So I have to say I love the variety. My interests are at least as varied as yours and yes boats are among them. Keep up the good work bro.
I love the boat videos
I enjoy the boats , you get less traffic on a river or lake , and you can really fly !👌
love these old neat boats you come across as much as the cars .
Don’t change!!!! Love the boat /pwc stuff !
It's nice to have a change of pace with the boats brother! I'm just glad to watch you do your stuff!
That's a really solid build boat . That one is in great shape.
Man, that Caravele is a really nice hull. They have become a very big contender in the power boat range. I can't believe how nice that thing ran.....Great Video...
Great video. Nice to see the benefit of winterizing a boat long term.
*My favorite part was the boat part !*
The boat videos are my favorites!
Trim up should be a Blue wire with a white tracer and trim down should be a Green wire with a white tracer. When working on trim it's good to remember "Blue is the sky and Green is the grass" meaning Blue is Up and Green is Down.
Can't wait to see that Mercury Grand Marquis!
Yeah that should be fun to fire up and cruise! Used to own an 83 four-door but I never even saw a two-door before
That’s a Great 6 Banger Engine. Quite Torquey (spelling) and smooth. Nice little Boat.
I have that same hydraulic crimper set!
Used it maybe a half dozen times. Good stuff
Keep the boats going too. Enjoy all your content. I learn from you and use on my own youtube channel. Ty
Hey dude I know you probably won’t see this but… we’re interested in whatever you’re passionate and excited about. Some of us may have special attachments to some specific engines or models of cars/boats/whatever, that gets us even more engaged in some videos, but what brings most of us back is your energy and enthusiasm for getting down and dirty with repairs others may have given up on.
And Gus.
This boat has great classic lines
I've had a lot of boats over the years and have taken the GM straight six and Mercruiser from boat to boat a few times. My first boat was a Galaxy with a freeze cracked block. Tried to weld/braze it, waste of time. Bought a 265 engine from a salvage yard cheap because I pulled it myself from a bread delivery truck. That combination lasted for years. Strong motor for skiing. If you ever go to a stock GM 6cylinder like I did, the only differences I found was the marine version has stainless steel freeze plugs, and the head dowels are different. Water pumps are supposed to be different but I never found any difference.
Keep the boat videos coming. Love all your stuff!
Thanks for the ornament! Love that you guys signed the note. Will be the first to buy a shirt for gus man. Happy Holidays! Devin-
Thanks so much for ordering one! Happy holidays and Merry Christmas to you as well!
I love the boats ! And the way you take the time on them like the cars and trucks makes it even better! You don’t rush through them !
