I had forgotten all about this song, but man oh man, I do remember it! Didn't know who sang it, though. I just danced to it at the high school canteen; didn't know how lucky those times were, music wise. Sure do now, though ...!

In 1965 went to a youth club dance in NE England,
A good cover band was playing Spencer Davis,
I was 16 , it was like entering a kind of heaven, beautiful girls, great music,
It transformed my life after been bought up in all boys schools.

If this was, indeed, 1966, Winwood was eighteen. An old head on young shoulders, in some ways...
    Always loved his music.

Steve windwoods voice still gives me goose bumps over 40years since 1st heard him! My late aunt was freinds with Spencer Davis, she told me how she used to follow the Spencer Davis group around the clubs of Birmingham England before they became famous.as a young mod from the early 1980s mod revival days i remember wishing how much i could have been around during those glory days of the best time in popular music history! Now heading towards my late 50s I still feel the same as much as ever!

Just a few more years and all the 60s bands will just be memorizes, but what memorizes they left us with. Thanks to all the bands of the 60s and the pirate radio stations that made it possible to hear them. Radio Caroline, Radio London, Radio Scotland etc.

Everybody thinks of Steve Winwood as the pop artist of the mid 1980's, but he was truly an under-rated legend of 1960's -1970's progressive rock and roll music. He's still around too.

1966 ! I was an 18 year old au-pair fresh from Austria when I saw them in London. Can't remember if it was Hampstead or somewhere on Tottenham Court road. Have loved Steve Winwood's face and voice ever since. To think he was merely 17! This song and Gimme some lovin' were for the longest time my favourites. Today of course this music is classic. Thank you for uploading.

Makila like you I was also born in 1948 so I would have also been 18 when
this amazing archive piece of video was released. The Spencer Davis Group
were among many of my favourite bands back then, they were awesome,
love that bass sound on "Keep on Running" and of course Steve's great voice.
unfortunately I never got to see them live like you did.( Lucky You ). Still I
have got some great memories from those days when there were so many
talented top bands around, like of course the Beatles, Moody Blues,The Kinks,
The Who, The Searchers, The Hollies, Pink Floyd, The Bee Gees, The Byrds, to
name but a few, Oh' how I'd love to go back to those tremendous days when
everything seemed so much more relaxed & peaceful.
