The abslolutely coolest bass riff that was ever heard in the universe at that time, and the photographer didn't even give a split second to the bass player. Unbelieveable!
Though there are about two seconds at 2:14 where you can see the right hand of the bass player, it is peanut compared to his part in this musical masterpiece.

Steve windwoods voice still gives me goose bumps over 40years since 1st heard him! My late aunt was freinds with Spencer Davis, she told me how she used to follow the Spencer Davis group around the clubs of Birmingham England before they became famous.as a young mod from the early 1980s mod revival days i remember wishing how much i could have been around during those glory days of the best time in popular music history! Now heading towards my late 50s I still feel the same as much as ever!
Just a few more years and all the 60s bands will just be memorizes, but what memorizes they left us with. Thanks to all the bands of the 60s and the pirate radio stations that made it possible to hear them. Radio Caroline, Radio London, Radio Scotland etc.

1966 ! I was an 18 year old au-pair fresh from Austria when I saw them in London. Can't remember if it was Hampstead or somewhere on Tottenham Court road. Have loved Steve Winwood's face and voice ever since. To think he was merely 17! This song and Gimme some lovin' were for the longest time my favourites. Today of course this music is classic. The Spencer Davis Group were among many of my favourite bands back then, they were awesome, love that bass sound on "Keep on Running" and of course Steve's great voice. unfortunately I never got to see them live like you did.( Lucky You ). Still I have got some great memories from those days when there were so many talented top bands around, like of course the Beatles, Moody Blues,The Kinks, The Who, The Searchers, The Hollies, Pink Floyd, The Bee Gees, The Byrds, to name but a few, Oh' how I'd love to go back to those tremendous days when everything seemed so much more relaxed & peaceful.

This came out when I was 13..I still have the 45ives of that wonderfull time and on Birthdayspartys I Play them all and we dance until 2 Or 3 am…
