"They sound good to me, and that's what matters"... should be the essence of every rig and demo. Great words of wisdom Dave. I love my HR Prime- no, it doesn't have the best version of every amp in it, no its effects are all as great as helix or fractal, but they are good, and they give a sound and tone I am looking for. Keep up the great work. I hope that you will continue to put up HR material despite the new Fender gear. God Bless

@@DaveWebbMusic Hey Dave. Loving the rock gig pack. I was looking for 3 different drives sounds and a clean. With the drives, I wanted a light one, then another with a bit more bite and then one that's full on. And the Fender Clean, Crunch and Amp Shred does the trick! And then your Clean rig works a treat too. So everything I need is in the Rock Gig Pack. Thanks again.

@@DaveWebbMusic Hi Dave. Having a bit of an issue with clipping. It happens with the amp shred rig.
I put an fx loop into each of the 4 rigs of yours that I'm using. Amp Shred, Clean, Crunch and Fender Clean. I added a fx loop to each of these because I have a couple of stomp boxes I want to use also. Chorus, Delay.
But once I added the fx loop to each rig, each rig got louder. Which for me wouldn't be an issue, except for the amp shred is now clipping through my amp.
Should I go into global settings and reduce the level below zero? Or do I need to go into each rig in or rig out and reduce something?

I'm about to get a Headrush pedalboard and your videos will be invaluable in getting to grips with it and setting it up. Thanks for watching and thanks for reaching out. I hope you do end up getting some use out of my videos, that’s really cool.
So I use mine always through the PA/front of house. For me it’s way easier to take only the board, and seeing as everything you need is in the HeadRush, there’s no need to take an amp.
The sound quality is great from bedroom to stage!
That being said, you can totally use it with a real amp as a multi effects unit. I haven’t done that yet, as I have only recently got my amp head back, but the digital effects into a real amp, plus using 4 cable method and involving the fx loop, is amazing! Total flexibility.

Hi buddy, awesome video and a great rig, I’m still a bit new to the headrush and I’m busy getting tips and advice from videos like this, I’ve copied the way you’ve set your global eq, I have my pedalboard running through a headrush frfr112, is the
global eq you have set here a good setting for my setup, like the shelf and cut etc, just curious incase yours is set for running through some studio speakers and with me running through the frfr112 it might need changing. Thanks for your videos I’m learning a lot from them 👍🏻

The EQ in this patch and my global EQ is what I literally use live. I plug straight to front of house, so I want the guitar to go out “pre-mixed” and sit nicely with everything else.
In your situation I would try it out in context and adjust the cuts according to how much boom and fizzle your getting.
Same with the specific cuts. Just sweep around and take out the bad stuff. You don’t want to lose anything from the tone, just clean up the bad bits.
In the end, if you like the tone, thats the whole point so you win! 🤘🏼

Sounds great! But you see, everybody has different needs: i personally hate anything EQ and IR HP & LP, it takes away too much of the initial Amp-/Guitar Sound in my opinion. I even never used any EQ on Live-Sounds. Not even a Tubescreamer or similiar, it doesn't sound like "the Amp" to me anymore.

    • @DaveWebbMusic
      @DaveWebbMusic  2 роки тому +1

I totally agree, everyone is going to require a different setup.
I see what you’re saying about EQ and pedals, it does change a sound. And if you don’t like it, well that’s the answer! YOU have to like it.
Do keep in mind, unless you’re mixing yourself, every sound guy is going to straight EQ your guitar. So I always try to get in first and clean it up, and in this instance the lead tone has to stand out, and that mid frequency boost I did helps it cut through a dense mix.
Thanks for the comment. Always cool to hear what other are doing. 🤘🏼

Will your Gig pack be compatible with the MX5?

As far as I know, all rigs are compatible across all boards. I only have a pedalboard, so I haven’t physically tried it, but I’m led to believe yes.

I did have someone with a Gigboard install the pack and it worked fine.
