    Just bought a 2024 accord ex, smooth ride. Love it so far.

    I have this exact car. I love it. I have sirius through android auto. Its only a little more than the lx, with a lot more features. I also like the conservative look.

      My car gets excellent gas mileage. 36.8 mpg. I thought it was from using econ, but I think it's from the fuel saver tires that came with it. Thing is they are so expensive, that it's not worth the fuel savings.

      I've been looking at the Accord LX and EX, and was surprised the EX doesn't have rear seat vents or charging ports.

    The problem is that the lower 2 models are missing quite a bit of the technology that makes the new Accord shine. I'd say the EX-L is the way to go for many, and also gives the best fuel economy. If the EX had the big infotainment screen it would be much better and probably sell a lot better

      I thought about that before making the video and I would say you are right but that one you can’t find in stock anywhere. This dealership had all trim levels except EX-L. If you can’t find it, you will likely pay more then MSRP for it then the time it takes to recoup the costs from fuel savings will be even higher.

      @@automaticYT Just nabbed one for $1581 under MSRP, so deals can be had. I am in Michigan and I emailed 6 different dealers to finally get a good price. Most of my local dealers don't charge over MSRP. Take care

      I agree with you. Value for cost; the Accord EX-L, is the best all around. And yes, has even greater fuel economy then the sport and touring models because the EX-L has the smaller 17 inch tires and rims. However, those 19 inch rims are to die for; oh, they’re so beautiful.

    One thing Honda still hasn't improved is the quality of the sound from the stereo in the Accord. I have a 2016 Sport and that's the only thing I absolutely hate about it, the 2023 is no exception.

    Just picked up the touring hybrid and I love it. It is nothing short of a luxury car. I honestly don't care for when I recoup the money but it is good to see those gas mileage numbers, especially going from an SUV that would only give 20-22 mpg to 46+ mpg on regular gas is fantastic.

  • @ians1169
    @ians1169 Рік тому +1

    The trunk switch in the glove box defeats the dash mounted trunk release button and the trunk release button on the key fob to secure the trunk for when you valet your Accord. The glove box locks using the physical key inside the key fob. When you valet your car, you detach the key fob from the physical key.

    Im very seriously considering trading my 2020 Frontier SV for a 2023 Accord LX (I dont like sunroofs). I actually LOVE the look of the new Accord. I wish it came in a v6 6spd manual coupe version. But maybe Honda will get sporty with it later. Lets hope. Good video man. I enjoyed it. Thanks.

    I LOVE this all new for 2023 Honda Accord. However, I'm really disappointed in Honda for cheapening interior materials on lower trim levels. The fact that you have to pay almost $40,000 for the top tier Touring trim to get fully soft touch/padded materials on the full surface (save for the bottom portion door trim) of the rear seat door panels, is sacrilegious, quite frankly, as this is a Honda Accord: the one and only; the top of the heap in premium midsize sedans. The previous generation got all soft padding on rear door panels, save for the top portion of the rear door panel (also sacrilegious, however, the rest was soft touch, save the lower portion of the doors [as well as the front, which is commonplace in most any car regarding the lower portion of the doors]. Furthermore, you also do not get a leather wrapped steering wheel unless you spring for the $33,000 Hybrid-Sport. A $28,000 Accord LX; $30, 000 Accord EX without these soft touch materials and a rubber steering wheel is a damn shame; I'm so disappointed. I still love the car. However, when you can buy a $23,000 Kia Forte GT-Line and get higher quality door panels/Padded leather steering wheel, and more, truly speaks volumes to the direction Honda is moving regarding this all new Accord. As much as I Love the car, I think I'd be hard pressed to part with $30,000, for a de-contented, cheapened Honda Accord. What a shame. My preference is the Touring trim, but, I'm not quite sure I want to part with $40,000 for it. Not to mention the lack of rear seat climate vents in all lower trim levels; you can only get rear seat climate/ventilation ducts, again, only on the top their Touring trim. Shaking my head 🤷‍♂

    I bought it a month after it launched. Wanted a Hybrid Sport L or Hybrid Touring, but none were instantly available, so got mine a week later. The Hybrid Sport without leather seats and the passenger front seat powered but the rims look better for the Sport than Sport L. Other than Google Assistant and A/c seats the Touring was overpriced for the differences where I could retro fit all OEM upgrades like wireless charger and anti-dimming mirror with home link for the garage door opener.

    The problems I find with the 2023-2024 Honda Accord: 1. No All Wheel Drive is available 2. No heated steering Wheel is available 3. No spare tire is available 4. No XM Radio. Hopefully, by the time 2025 comes around these deficiencies will be resolved. The reason I post this comment is that I hope someone from Honda reads the comment and takes some positive action. These Honda's are not just cheaply made econoboxes like a Trabant, with taxes they cost $40,000+. We ought to have all of the things that go with a $40,000+ car.

    Do the Econ and Auto turn off Engine during traffic drain more gas? I have my Accord 2023 EX and I don’t know should I leave them on when I drive?

    • @automaticYT
      @automaticYT  Рік тому

      I don’t like the Econ button honestly it lowers the power output of the engine supposedly giving better fuel economy. But in my opinion it doesn’t really work unless you are really easy on the gas. It takes longer to get to speed in Econ for sure which means you have to give gas for longer instead of getting at speed without Econ and then coasting. But then again if you’re easy on the gas anyway don’t need Econ. The auto engine turn off I believe is only for idle like in park. Not when you are at a light in traffic.

  • @bmlove81
    @bmlove81 6 місяців тому

    Why do you believe that the eco mode, uses more gas?

    • @automaticYT
      @automaticYT  5 місяців тому +1

      Eco mode reduces the engine output so effectively taking you longer to get to the desired speed.
      For example: you get to 35MPH in 7 seconds with the eco button or don’t use the eco button and get to 35MPH in 6 seconds. Either way you use the same fuel.

    I agree with your opinion on the gas verus hybrid. For me the tech is low on my list, the seat comfort and driving position is at the top of the list, everything else is bonus. I currently drive a 14 Civc EX so this car looks like a solid replacement, will test drive one tomorrow and see how it goes. Econ has never made any difference on my current civic's gas mileage so I just leave it off.

    ‘23 Honda EX or ‘23 Camry? I’m in the market for a car, and will likely choose between these two makes.

    • @automaticYT
      @automaticYT  Рік тому +1

      I honestly think the Camry is better. Accord has cut so many corners especially in the back seat, I don’t like it. There isn’t even a air vent in the back seat in the EX. So if you want the “extra features” you have to pay more. So even though Camry is older redesign wise, I still think it’s a better deal.

    • @Specmauto
      @Specmauto 10 місяців тому +1

      @@automaticYTto be honest the vents in the back shouldn’t even matter to someone who’s buying it. You’re not sitting in the back seat while you’re driving. They have little vents under the front seats that shoots air to the back area.
