Hey! After making our video, we discovered there IS an easy way to deactivate the parking sensors. Directions pop up in the gauge cluster showing a button on the steering wheel that can be pressed to deactivate the sensors.
Is the deactivation only good until you turn off the vehicle or does it stay deactivated?
Where's Lyn? She can revive this coma video and a boring design accord! 😌😔😴😴😴
Like Micah by himself honestly
You have to buy this in a dark color, so that the front grill can be fairly hidden. If you buy a bright or white color, the front just looks like a Ford Taurus
Canyon River Blue is a new Accord color for 2023, and it's the color that's featured in the video. That color is hard to find at dealerships, but that color really looks nice once you see it in person.
@@donaldwilson2620that color is hard to find because it’s only available on the highest trim level.
I've said this before, but I turn 40 this year, and I would get one of these if I could swing it. It's the perfect vehicle for my Dad sensibilities - economical with just a touch of sportiness, practical, not overbearing in its design... and I deserve a car with ventilated seats, because I'm getting too old for swamp ass. So if anyone has an extra $40K burning a hole in their pocket, let me know.
If you want vents seats looks elsewhere cause Honda and Acura ones aren't great at all. They don't really cool you down period. It's very mild at best. This is coming from a Honda fan as well.
If you want ventilated seats, go for a Hyundai or Kia (many of there non expensive models have them)
@@RRLV434 I wanted a K5 but went with the 22 Civic instead because I’m afraid the Kia boys won’t check the year of the vehicle before busting the windows
@@japanwatchconnectionDo people cross shop Gti and an Accord? Also, why did you pick the GTI over the Golf R or Civic Type R?
I love the amount of work you put into this video. Your shots are so impressive and so much variation!! You can tell that you really enjoy what you do and it looks like a blast shooting all this footage. Out of all the 2023 accord reviews I’ve watched to date, I can safely say this one has the most passion put into it! If I were to ever do a car review I wouldn’t want it to look anything short of this. As a young aspiring filmmaker in college, this video inspires me to go out and shoot BEAUTIFUL footage. Give yourself a pat on the back man, you’re going places :)
Well, I have been reviewing cars forever for Kelley Blue Book. So I hopefully I've learned some stuff. :) But my wife (Evie) is the impressive one. She shoots and edits the videos for our channel. All credit goes her way. More importantly, I think UA-cam is better when creators support and encourage each other. So, keep up the hard work learning how to make films!
I really like the looks of the new Accord, but I was sad to see the more powerful engine choice taken away.
i’ve driven my 23 touring 3k mixed city & highway and getting 45.5 mpg (and thats across full 3k miles) … mostly (90%) on economy mode.
What color did you get?
@@Ryan-yw8iz i went for meteorite grey metallic… its a good color (and will hide car wash swirl marks a little better than flat colors … i think)
Srry but the grey will
Highlight swirls and scratches. The lighter color wont
Picked one up a few days ago and I love it. I am all about the look of this one.
Congrats on the purchase!
13:01 Evie nails why the lack of hard buttons is a issue in general. Having to look before you poke takes your eyes off the road, whereas with hard buttons, after you've used them for a little while, you're able to operate them by feel and keep your eyes on the road. Stunningly, that fact is unknown to many car interior designers.
Love your reviews! I love this one in particular cause it’s not a hatch/suv
Love that the family joins in on the reviews. 👍🏻. Keep up the great content.
Thanks for sharing such a kind comment. Cheers!!
mini muzio is heckin adorable
Love the addition of the family.
Hallo, Mr. Muzio. I appreciate your fun-family video-review of this beautiful car. I have had my 2023 Honda Accord Hybrid (EX-L) for two weeks, and I love it, both the design/styling and the powertrain.
How’s the road noise on the highway?
@@Arleys617 very quiet on the 17” tires. It drives like a luxury car, with good insulation from the outside.
I would stay from the lower priced models with the 1.5 liter turbo engine because of oil dilation problems in colder climates. I can understand why Honda is going green with the hybrids but it's a shame they discontinued the amazing soulful 2.0 liter engine. Great video.
Great review! I've owned multiple Accords and Civics and, other than a tad too much road noise, have loved them all.
The Accord and Sonata have been my favourite sedans for years. Looks like the Honda is retrogressing in aesthetics.
Evie has never looked more beautiful here. The hat, glasses and makeup selection really make an already great review that much better
You can get a very well equipped sedan these days for a good price compared to trucks & suvs. The price of trucks & suvs keeps climbing and I feel the car market prices have stayed stagnant, which is nice.
I've watched a bunch of the 2023 Honda Accord videos... yours are by far the most professionally done. Subscribed!
That's very kind of you to say. We're grateful to have you aboard!
Your little space bee is adorable 😍
Great review
TIL: Micah likes to play with knobs…..also big fan of the results of the arm rest test 💪🏼💪🏼
KEEPING MY 2.0T TOURING MODEL 2020.

Thanks! As candy/treats/ice cream for your daughter through the whole filming process. As a Mazda fan, I will await your other reviews in the interim. :)
That is SO kind of you. You definitely deserve a hi5!! 🖐️
The Maggie plush toy!! 😄
It’s giving space bee vibes, and we love it.
This really looks like a 6th gen maxima from the side! That little window in the back!
Rewatching this for like the 3rd time... 🤠 Do you have a "Top Ten of 2023" video or anything like that planned? Curious to really see models stacked up against each other (or like a @FootDoctorZach rating system for a more data oriented watcher...)
Great video as always Muzio fam! Would love to see your opinions on cars in the subcompact segment! (Like a Fiat 500 or MINIs)
We have a Fiat 500 Turbo- @Micah come and review it in Arlington Va!
Happy Sunday ☕️🥚

I’m getting an ex-l soon just need to decide what color. Was looking at the urban gray or the red one but this one is looking really nice too
which color is this?
@@allaboutcars4012 Canyon River blue

That lil' volume knob is like a lil' Space Bee!
Loved my 2021 accord sport, however the trunk was my biggest complaint in day to day activities, it wouldn’t open all the way! My 2015 dodge dart did. But from grocery shopping, having to store/remove stroller, the trunk not opening all the way like the new gen was very annoying to me.
Nice. Idk if I should get this Honda Accord or CR-V
The problems I find with the 2023 Honda Accord: 1. No All Wheel Drive is available 2. No heated steering Wheel is available 3. No spare tire is available 4. No XM Radio (in the US) for some reason if you get one in Canada it comes with XM Radio, so Honda, there is no excuse. If a 2023 or 2024 car missing all of these features is fine for you, then get one. Hopefully, by the time 2025 comes around these glaring deficiencies will be resolved.
I’m currently driving a Subaru Outback. I like the awd but not the fuel economy. I’m a previous Accord owner but grew tired of road noise and interior rattles. How is road noise and did this tester have rattles? Thanks for such great content. I follow a lot of automotive journalists. You and Throttle House are my favorites. 😊
I've had Accords for about 30 years. This is the quietest one. Decibel reading is perhaps mid to high 50's. Put a decibel App on your phone and take a reading during a test drive.
I like the looks.
Love ya Micah
I like that traditional power gauge
So cute, mother and daughter have the same voice!
"all I say is that my life is pretty plain...you don't like my point of view..and I'm insane"
The bee talk put me over the edge....please explain that reference to your little one.
One of my 1st cars was an Accord hatchback...don't imagine they still offer that?
Good video. Gotta say though, how is this (along with the Kia K5, Hyundai Sonata, etc.) still considered “mid sized”? These things are huge compared to what they were 20 years ago.
how does the cabin and road noise at speed compare to the Subaru Outback Wilderness?
I feared that once the Acura TLX went exclusively to the 2.0 Turbo / 10-Speed Auto that the Accord would lose the power train, and I think it is a bad mistake by Honda to not offer it. Especially when the Camry still offers a potent V6, and the Altima and Mazda 6 a Turbo option of their own.
The Mazda6 has been gone for like two years now but I agree Honda is dead wrong for dropping the 2.0t, if they had to drop it they should have offered a hybrid with similar power to the old 2.0t with the fuel economy of the hybrid. Honda cut costs in places on this new one too…no SiriusXM no adjustments for the rear headrest no ac vents or usb ports on trims that aren’t Exl or Touring trims, still no pano roof still no 360 camera etc…no fog lights either. It just feels less dynamic than the 10th gen.
@@RudePaul123 I know the Mazda 6 has not been around, we bought one of the last ones that was available in our area back in June 2021… but the previous gen Accord was a competitor as recent as that model year… that was my point. Is it true though that 6 is coming back? I read most likely with a more powerful engine as well… possibly more power than any of these other competitors.
As for Honda… I 100% agree with everything you said. It’s really poor some of the choices they’ve been making as a manufacturer.
Here’s another questionable move IMO: putting a large infotainment screen in this sedan yet they put a smaller screen in the new Pilot, a larger vehicle with more dash space to fill.
I would buy the new accord if it had an updated version of the 2.0T and a manual with an lsd. Never gonna happen so I'll keep my 2015 Accord EX-L V6 Coupe 6speed for a long time.
That one is a keeper for sure
You had your chance for 6 years.
@@ThirdBrainLives I've owned this car for 7, I wasn't in the market for the last 6. I become "in the market " when something sparks my interest. So far.... nothing truly has.
@@ThirdBrainLives they always come in the comments i would buy blah blah blah
What’s the range on a full tank?
You know what I like this bloody guy to concentrate on his driving!
Would you believe I've been doing this for 16 years without an accident? 🤯
The Sport-L catching my eye the most
Just put $500 down to hold my Urban Grey Pearl Sport-L! The only downsides is that the Sport-L doesn't get the parking sensors, mirror turn signals and no vents or USB ports for the rear... I think that's a miss! They DO include those on the EX-L, but that model doesn't give you the sport look and drops down the wheel size. So pros and cons to both I suppose. The only thing I would REALLY want in the Sport-L is the parking sensors, the rest I am not super concerned with.
Great video even better location in Bakersfield California🎉
You know your Bakersfield!
Great MPG wow
Drove a sport trim. No rear vents. No heated seats for around 33k. Passenger sit on the floor seating even in the 40k touring. Needs some work imo.
Does the Accord still have the sport mode? My 2018 Accord Hybrid Touring does and it nicely improves the acceleration and firms up the dampers so corners can be taken much faster. It also gets better gas mileage than the new one.
I have a 2024 hybrid accord, and yes it has a sports mode
I've watched a lot of your reviews and I'm still not totally sure of the meaning of the % outboard / inboard for the arm rests. What does it mean?
How comfortable it is on his elbows/arms. 100% is the best. 😊
@@Billybobthor ohh 😅 for some reason I thought it was how much of his arm was resting on the things
Is this the same 1.5 turbo that had the oil dilution problems in previous CRVS?
Will Honda brings 2.0T accord next year?
Any new features being added as compared to 2022 Touring?
Excellent vid and review. I'm a big honda fan, not a huge fan of the whale-like nose of this 11th Gen Accord. Additionally many manufacturers seem to have done away with fog lights, a cost-cutting measure which is a shame they looked good and served a purpose. Overall (excluding the lack of passenger seat adjustments your wife explained), the interior seems really nice. The naturally aspirated EX lacks the leather wrapped steering wheel, looks much nicer with the proper leather wrapped wheel in this trim.
Honda has been on a roll lately with the new civic, hrv, crv, pilot, but with the new accord its a nope for me boring looking
I love the new Civic but this is just blah. The last Accord looked better.
I find these to be very mediocre offerings, especially relative to the asking price. Honda doing the bare minimum and no more.
@@Gabriel-ci7db yeah that is true. It bothers me that wireless CarPlay is only in the top model for the Civic
It is very elegant though. However, I suspect that doesn’t work on American roads.
@@raymondadams6433 I agree.
Where was this review filmed?
Another great video Micah. I know that the 2023 Accord style has gotten mixed reviews so far, and I had my reservations, but it's starting to grow on me, especially in the Sport and Touring trims. The top spec Touring trim is well equipped and feels very luxurious. It makes me question why anyone would buy a luxury branded vehicle when you could save money by just purchasing a top spec version of a mainstream car like the Accord.
Because it’s not the same thing. While I like Honda, there’s NOTHING luxury about it.
You can predownload offline google maps for your area. This should make having embedded nav less of a need.
My sister had a 2013 ford fusion and if u look real fast at the front it looks like that gen.. esp the grill.. just do a fast glance u will see
boooooo. great review my brother but I'm still in love with my 2018 accord with the 2.0 turbo 6 SPEED MANUAL. if i could have one thing from the 2023 version into my 2018 will be the full screen cluster display, other than that there’s nothing else i would change about my car
Glamorous, exciting Bakersfield! 🤠 I like the new Accord. When it first was released so many people commenting in reviews would say "It looks like a Taurus" and lament how it was a step down from the previous year. I don't think so at all. Yeah, its too bad the 2.0t is gone. Still, for a midsize sedan its just about perfect except for one huge omission - no rear AC vents except on the Touring Hybrid or EX-L Hybrid. The EX gas engine and Sport Hybrid should absolutely have something so basic.
You right about that
It's not a Taurus look-alike. Honda is trying to copy the gorgeous A7, but they can't get the lines right or do it sub 50k. Audi and Porsche have the best industrial design. Plenty of car manufacturers tried to emulate the A7 since it's first iteration. It was the progenitor of the modern fastback coupe style. Instead of able to copy the lines and sexy looks, all these other manufacturers end up making low-rent facsimiles. The new Accord is no exception. It's ok looking, but I prefer the previous generation Accord as it was more original and not a copy of a more expensive car.
Someone knows about after market parte for the accord 2023 lx ???? Please
The best part about the accord is that once the next gen Camry comes in, the accord will be even less boring than the Camry
that makes no sense 😂 get a life trollie
@@tinhinnhor you just can't read dummy ..it makes perfect sense
Don’t judge a book by its cover. This car looks better in person ❤
1.5 l turbo has “blow bye” issues. Gas getting into oil.
I’m curious how much of a family event the filming is lol. I mean, by the time Micah’s daughter is a teenager, she will have tried hundreds of cars…
Our kiddo gets a lot of exposure to our shooting and editing processes. By the time she's an adult she'll either be running our channel or want nothing to do with UA-cam ever again. :)
I like the family focus reviews.
One thing I thought you'd mention that can be important for kids in the back, is AC. Another thing is cloth seats. And this is where this year's accord is frustrating me.
Like you said, it has more room than the CRV which is good for kids in the back. But the hybrid only comes with rear AC if you get the ex version with leather seats! ("EX L"). What the heck honda!
And that they haven't figured out, like toyota has, how to put their batteries wherever without using the spare tire space - very frustrating. It's like they designed all these great features - better than toyota - EXCEPT when they got to the battery they just went lazy and put in where the spare goes. (Did that in the CRV too).
So I might get the rav 4 or the camry hybrid, even though i don't like the interiors on toyotas. at least they have rear ac and a spare tire.
Should have kept the last design with an upgraded interior
the front was fine, the back needed a change
Hopefully this crude exterior will grow on me.
It’s very uninspiring
I think a mid-cycle refresh could potentially make this car's exterior a lot more attractive with just small changes.
I think the Stalin could have been a lot better wasn't a big fan of it but I saw it in person and I actually looked at it it does look better in person it grew on me but the style could have been a little better.
Good car
As a life long fan of Honda, I’m really not liking these newer cars. Between the body styles, cvt transmissions. I think Mazda and Toyota is what I’d buy brand new.
Those interior grill seems like an auto detailers nightmare.
I want to be a Space Bee with poofy hair now LOL
The new body style is the most used looking new car I've ever seen. Looks like it was designed for Facebook Marketplace to be hassled with low ball offers.
I am convinced that this is going to be the last generation of Accord before they discontinue it.
Lol Honda sells 25k Accords every month.
Honda has already said that this one will help buyers transition to an electric model for gen 12, that’s why 4 of the 6 trims are hybrids. Honda would be on crack if they discontinued the Accord or Civic. Both cars have been around 50 years or close to it and brand equity in the names alone is worth keeping them around. They may evolve (the have before in prior gens when they started as hatches and even offered wagons in the 70s 80s and 90s) so they may become crossover like but they aren’t going away.
Amazing video! Call me crazy but I prefer the styling of the previous generation!😸
You're crazy
Wait, Sorry! my mistake, mis read your post..im crazy too! 10th gen MUCH better!!

@@truckercowboyed2638 At that price, one could easily move up to an Acura or Cadillac CT5. This new Accord is too expensive for a mainstream, non-luxury, brand.
@@yoshiakik.5332 Yeah, expensive and boring AF. I can tell you that the loaded V6 Accords of before were a bargain once you realize what they could do when pushed,,,,, and you had a respectable looking car when you just wanted to take-it-easy.

Sweetie looks underwhelmed and I think she misses her Bronco 😊
Complaining about the disappearance of the 2.0T! On a side note, the Accord has a 12" infotainment in the top trims, but the new Pilot maxes out at 9". Weird.
I love the family sedan market but they have gotten way too big. Why does the Accord need to be almost 196" long? One, of two, reasons for selling my Camry is was too big at 191". The previous gen Accord was 192". I think a lot of space is wasted in the name of style.
what style ?? 🥴

The lack of seat height adjustment is just weird.
Honda puts the cost cutting where you can see it while Hyundai/Kia hide it in the engine/transmission/electrical. Choose your poison.

Don’t worry it will probably grow on you. People say the same thing every generation.
I'm ok with a simple design, but I think Honda overstepped the line and is firmly on the generic and bland side of things with this model.

There's just not enough head room in the Accord, even for the front seat. I'm a six footer with a short torso, and I feel like I'm going to be knocked unconscious if I drive over a good bump.

Any chance you could incorporate the cruise control features like slow and go for Honda?
It has it
Gotta wonder why the Pilot didn't get the 12" LCD ...
No full size spare in the trunk means less protection for a rear colision. A tire is stronger than 22 gauge aluminum. Kid riding in the back is dead apon impact. Then a psycho killer might kill me if I have a flat stuck on side of the road with no spare tire. I could make a horror movie about new cars. Death traps, electronic throttle, electronic steering. Id rather ride a horse.
