Great review Anthony. I used to like the Accord a lot and you can't go wrong buying one but for me it's just gotten a bit boring. 46 mpg in the hybrid could make it a bit less boring lol 😁Just curious, do you happen to know how much extra $$ the hybrid is? It has been pleasantly warm here and this week flew by! Have a good one Anthony
Around 3k to over 9k more so you kind of pay for the mpg savings up front. They are smoother vehicles but the fun factor has changed a lot since losing the 2.0 turbo. Today was hot 🥵 but a nice cold water and a hat makes it work 😁. Thanks James
@@HawkeyeRides I remember when the Accord could be had with the VTEC 6 cylinder engine. Now that was fun lol 😁I understand why the manufacturers are going with the smaller engines to meet the CAFE standards but still. Oh sorry about the heat. Our time is coming here soon enough lol! If you own or thinking about purchasing a 2023 or 2024 11th generation Honda Accord...Beware. The gas line, brake lines and evap lines are plastic and are not fully protected by Sheilds, Guards. These cars have about a 14 inch section were these lines are exposed to road hazards. I had something hit these pipes, one was cut almost completely through, others severely damaged. The repair bill at the Honda dealership is over $7,000.00. I reported this to American Honda as I feel this could have been prevented had lines been metal or at minimum run behind a protective cover. These undercarriage on these cars are almost completely covered by shields, guards, you even have to remove the skid plate to change oil, filter but Honda decides to leave this section of crucial pipes non protected from road hazards. Honda has refused to take any responsibility for not providing a guard which would prevented such damage. I could have lost my brakes and or a fire started due to damage occurring.
@@southeasternservices1683 Thanks for the extensive info! I bought a new car last year so I am not in the market but again thanks for the information. Hopefully it will help others!
My 2018 Accord gets 32/38. I’ve seen it since we bought it new. It’s been a great trouble free car. And by the way, we live in Northern CA and drive up to South Lake Tahoe frequently and we’ve never had any issue with sufficient pulling power up the mountain.
been stuck between the 24 accord ex and the 24-25 kia k5 gt line. the k5 has all the bells and whistles but i’ve encountered my fair share of people saying I shouldn’t get a Kia as a first car and that they’re unreliable ? Curious to your opinion. The accord feels safe but underwhelming , while the k5 would be an exciting decision I don’t wanna end up regretting.
As a taller man which do you prefer Honda or Toyota and which model? I’m looking for a comfortable ride. I liked my CRV but dang it was tight. My head almost hit the ceiling and my knee would rub on the side.
@@HawkeyeRides they need to do something fast about the exposed gas, brake and evap lines too. Mine was damaged due to flying debr. Repair bill is over $7,000.00 to replace lines.
Use a friggin cord and charge your phone that way. And manually moving your own seat is pretty simple unless you're paraplegic. You'll save big bucks. Use the savings to take a vacation.
Front end is hideous & old looking waaaaay too much bumper space ahead of the Front wheels when European designs have alot less of a bumper design ahead of the front wheels

Hi has Honda fix the head gasket issues with the 1.5 engine with the accord
It's a carryover engine. No they have not Robert

does the gas version feels lighter to drive comparing to the hybrid because of no battery? Does the back seat has more space as well?
@@95x300 not really because the hybrid has more power and because of the cloth seating it’s more comfortable and roomy.

can 1.5 turbo last 250k miles?
