I absolutely adore Carolyn as much as i adore Diane on GH! She has always been one of my favorite characters and i think she is just the classiest, funniest and nicest down to earth person in real life. Maurice my children and in-laws had our Super Bowl party in Tennessee. Every couple had their own floor. I realized that we were all together except my son. He seemed very uncomfortable. I went to be with him and I asked why don’t you sit with us. He said. Mom everybody is drinking alcohol. He said I haven’t drank anything in thirteen years. He said I’m not going to be around it because I’m afraid I will give in. I love him so much and I am so proud of him ❤️

Carolyn is great. One of my all-time favorite GH scenes was when Sonny, Diane and Spinelli were talking about Jason's then-secret child, who Spinelli referred to as "the innocent one". As the conversation heated up, Diane got wrapped up in Spinelli-speak and called the baby "the innocent one" as well, much to her embarrassment. LOL
I LOVE her...she is a badass...and way to humble herself and being honest! ❤❤❤❤

Carolyn spoke so eloquently about her alcohol addiction, and in doing so, she shared very simply and clearly what an alcoholic's journey to a healthy sobriety needs to include to live a happy and balanced life. Her words were a gift to many today...the
addicted, their family, friends, spouses, partners, adult children, co-workers etc. etc.

Carolyn Hennesy is a classy intelligent lady just like her character on General Hospital. I love her passion for animals. I have a Chinese crested powder puff named Rio. I got him when he was five months old and as of this month he will be sixteen. He has not only helped me during my depression, but even in the most difficult times. No judgement just unconditional love. The thought of losing him is devastating, but I know in my heart I will have to rescue another dog. I must say Maurice you bring so many incredible guests with such diversity, and it helps immensely. Thanks again for another great interview. ❤🐶🇨🇦🇮🇹

I love this actress! It reminds me of when my grandfather told me about when he was an alcoholic for so many years and been going to AA meetings for so long, he’s actually sober 35+ years now. I’m so happy for him and never go down that path with the alcohol addictions and the way my grandfather went through. It’s just an incredible story and also grateful he’s here today. I must say that Carolyn Hennesy is a true champion!! She has a way of drawing you in when she talks and can't wait to hear more of what she might say. Love her determination, her command of the room, her self confidence, and straight forwardness, qualities I wish I had. She is classy and down to earth. She is right about changing the mind when wanting to live sober or overcoming any addiction or fear. Love her on GH and would love to see her in more scenes. She is so funny. Love the statement, "I put on mascara for you Mo." Bring her back often!!
Carolyn, I am a retired elementary school teacher. The lesson I shared with my students endlessly was to focus on how they act and what they do when there is not a single person looking and why it is so important to always try your best. Thank you for sharing your story so opening and honestly. Maurice, keep up the great work advocating for mental health!
I have so enjoyed Carolyn Hennessy on your show. My daughter is an alcoholic and was dry for a year but now I know that she was not of a sober mind. She's back to drinking and making awful decisions. I pray she has her moment of enlightenment and can begin a sober life. God bless you Carolyn.

Carolyn's take on truly living sober, not just being a "dry drunk" was the first time I'd heard that perspective. Wowza, that sticks the landing. Carolyn reminds me of my bestie so much (whom I sadly lost in 2004) - that spunk, that humor, that same energy, and even physical appearance. I'm rejuvenated every time I see her on screen - It's like I get Cookie back for a few minutes of my day and my soul is happy. I know what you mean about animals. When I was on a farm there was about 30 cows. If I had a bad day I would just go out and sit with them and watch the calves play. Very comforting.

The drinking to prolong elation is so damn relatable to my journey. Sober 5 years now because I stopped when I got pregnant and I went through therapy so I could learn to be happy with parenthood and not alcohol
