Good morning Conny. I watched this video so many times for I find it inspirational and instructive as well as I find the product is an admirable piece of artwork. Thank you for sharing it. A question that has been nagging is: when and how often do you use oil pastels taking into consideration that acrylic an oil don’t work well together?
Hello Salim Thank you very much for the kind and motivating words. I am very happy that you like the video. Now to your question: I don't use oil pastels at the beginning of a painting. Only for the next layers do I use oil pastels. So far I haven't had any problems with it, since I only draw lines or scribbeling with it. It will certainly be a problem if you paint areas with oil pastel and then go over them with acrylic. I hope that helps. Kind regards Conny
Hello José Luis, thank you for the kind words. In this work i use the titanium white heavy body from Golden Acrylics. I rarely use gesso. Mostly of my colors are from Golden. For markmaking at the beginning i use ArtGraf ( www.gerstaecker.ch/VIARCO-ART-GRAF-wasserloesliche-Graphitkreide.html ) and Art Chunkys ( www.gerstaecker.ch/CRETACOLOR-Art-Chunky-extradicke-Zeichenkohle.html ) . I've attached the links to you. Both are very powerful and water-soluble. To make them waterproof, I take a brush together with Golden liquid satin and mix the traces. Then i use some spatulas, brushes and several pancils like chinamarker and Derwents. I hope that helps you, otherwise get in touch. Kind regards Conny
Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm glad to hear that you like my channel. The dark blue is SCHMINCKE PRIMAcryl® Fluid Prussian blue. I love this dark greenish blue. Hope that helps. Kind regards Conny
@@sheripalmer3192 Hello, It is a product of germain. I look for a link in american: www.dickblick.com/products/schmincke-primacryl-finest-artists-acrylic-paint . They have only the thick paint, but the Prussian blue is the same. Here is a link from england: www.jacksonsart.com/de-de/schmincke-primacryl-acrylic
@@ConnyLehmann You are so kind to go to that effort! I was able to find it through Amazon. I purchased the heavy body and the ink in that color. I typically use Golden ,Liquitex or Nova. I also discovered I had that color in Golden brand. I can’t wait to try out your technique and color scheme to come up with a creation of my own! You have really inspired me. Thank you again. 😉
@@sheripalmer3192 I'm glad to have helped you. I have a video titled color mixing for the next abstract painting. ua-cam.com/video/PhOt26OZZ0Y/v-deo.html There I also use the Prussian blue. I also really like using the brand Golden. Unfortunately, I was not able to discover such a beautiful deep blue at Golden. KInd regards Conny

great -- but as I often do, you seem to be avoiding [confrontation/commitment/interaction, etc with] the epicenter. Is that purposeful for you, as for instance, drawing attention by leaving space?
Hello and thank you for the comment. I always paint intuitively and without intention. There are also paintings of me that don't have that much free space. Check out my website: www.aquarelle-connylehmann.com I start a picture and just react to what shows up on the paper. Unintentionally. My motto is that I have fun while painting. The end result is secondary. Hope that helps. Kind regards Conny
