I just saw you in a Treluxe ad in my facebook feed and thought "OMG I know her!" Then I was like, "calm down, you dont really 'know' her. Don't be that weirdo." LOL!
Your hair is gorgeous!! Looks so silky & healthy❣️
I’ve been eyeing up treluxe for a while now and you’ve just convinced me. Can’t wait to try them out.
I like your videos very much. I have the same texture, colour, porosity and density as yours. Basically I have nearly the same hair as yours. So thank you for starting reviews on products and how they work.
Your hair looks lovely! Amazing results for day 2 straight out of the pineapple! 😍
OH MY GOD YOUR HAIR LOOKS AMAZIINNGGG !!!
Love your review and hair! THANK YOU for turning off the tap, it made my heart feel warm x
A Russell of course! Thank you’
WHAT THE????? GIRL, UR HAIR LOOKS AMAZINGGGGG💖💖💖💖💖
Your hair is so beautiful and shiny! The color is gorgeous as well💕
Bonnie Abadi thank you!!!
Courtney, styling stupendo. Tra i migliori che ho visto nel tuo canale. And I love your channel :)
My favorite gel! It’s so good. My curls last for days. I’m going to try the low poo and conditioner
I'm glad I'm not the only on who washes their hair over the tub. Lol I have 3b/3c hair but I love seeing other curl types. Your hair is well taken care of. Great job! Looks beautiful!
Kandace Laswell oh my goodness! Thank you so much for the compliment! And Yeay for over the tub washing! It’s so convenient right?!
Hi Courtney 👋 I've been having problems with my curls stretching out. So I watched this and think I'll use these products today. It's winter and the dew points are extremely low. Cross your fingers 😜 I know I am! Thank for a great video ☺️
Wow! You look great in red!
WOW!!! Girl this product/brand WORKS on your hair!!! This is comparable to the vinegar/hemp mask result!
Hi Courtney! 👋 I love your cute humor...and your Texas t-shirt! This is the first time I’ve heard of this line of products, so thanks for introducing it to me. At the end of summer, I’d love if you’d share your favorite summer and high dew point products and routine. Thanks for sharing! Love watching your videos!
HollierFamilyChannel I totally understand high dew points being troublesome. I actually have a video all about my favorite glycerin free products. They tend to perform very well for me in high dew points.
Thank you for the discount code!
I LOVE the one product line series! I also like it when you describe textures, scents and whether or not the products have proteins! I have fine, high porosity hair so can you feature more lines that have protein?? Also, do you ever add Braggs or Amino Touch to your products to get the protein you need? Thanks for your great videos!!!
I;m so glad you are enjoying this series! No I haven't tried Braggs or Amino Tough yet. But I'v heard of people trying that before. Interesting!
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney by the way, my maiden name is Courtney and I named my daughter Courtney.
Forgot to tell you I love your shirts! I bought the Be Still...Psalm 46:10 shirt. I love the symbolic one for God is greater than our ups and downs too. Blessings to you! I watch a lot of curly girl UA-cam's, but you're my fave!
That shine is unreal!! My goal, for sure. I have 1 question about the gel, which ofcourse u use as the last step. what do u think of the humectants; propylene glycol and honey in this product? Does it affect ur hair? My hair dislikes glyerin a lot. Even when the weather is right, my hair disagrees.. i think it has something to do with my damaged pieces of hair.
Nice results!
Stefanie Wagner thank you!!
You have natural looking beautiful eyebrows!
Your hair looked great when you took out of pineapple! I don't know if it was because of the "big hair" volume or if it was parted on the opposite side, but it looked incredible for just coming out of pineapple!
What products did you use on your hair on your 1 year "Curlaversary"? It looks great!
You have the most beautiful curls !! Beautiful hair !! My hair is a little more complicated than yours lol
Cocotte Coco Coco well thank you!!! I hope it gets easier. In the beginning the curly girl method was sooooo hard for me. It took two hours to do my hair and 58 steps. Now it’s not quite so bad!
Hi courtney, how do the styling products of treluxe, do with low humidity? I saw there is no glycerine in it, but it do have a humectant high on the list (propylene glycol). I am looking forward hearing your experience!
My hair’s the same. The shorter band -like strands in the front by my face tend to be straighter too for some reason. The longer strands are a lot wavier.
That is so cool! Crazy how each hair is so different!
LOL, you're so stinkin cute! Dang those are some big honking ringlets!! Very impressive wash day! Will have to check them out! Thank you!
Sometime when I squish in a gel I start to get more wet frizz. Does this mean that I need more water or more gel?
You crack me up and I just want to be your friend lol....as I compulsively watch all these videos. 🙈
Haha that you! I wanna be your friend too!!!
I'm confused. Is this a clarifying shampoo? Their website reads that way. Would you say it's more moisturizing than protein? 🤷♀️
Are these glycerin free? I live in Florida and we are always above 60 dew point until we get a "cold front and then it goes to below 40. I know this is when you shouldn't have glycerin in your products. I've been experiencing a ton of halo frizz.
Hi Courtney, have 2b-c waves, low porosity, medium density, thick hair, but it easily get weighted down. Would you recommend me Treluxe or Curlsmith products to try? If Curlsmith which one particularly?
Could you review Jane Carter Solution Incredible Curls cream? I am a bit of a product junkie and gave this one a try and wow, was I blown away. I really would be interested in knowing your opinion of product that is not well know in the curly girl community.
MoonDaisy Do you know? I haven’t ever heard of that brand! Thank you for the recommendation! I’ll look into it!
hello. im a german curly girl. what porosity is your hair? im impressed of your shine in your hair.
Bine Oberzicke thank you! You know I’m not really sure what my hair porosity is. The only way to know for sure is to pay for a hair analysis test. But I suspect my hair is high porosity because it takes on water very quickly. Low porosity hair doesn’t absorb water quickly.
Which wash day has been your favorite so far? Giovani? Also, what is your favorite go to daily curly girl hair stuff? Thanks
Chandra Raab that is a tough one! I actually haven’t gotten to my favorite daily cg stuff yet. I loooove MopTop. And Giovanni. I have had those lines the longest and I know them the best. But I will say that Tréluxe actually gave me the best day one hair I have ever had! 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ So sorry that probably isn’t much help. If you want, you could get small travel sizes of the Giovanni products (my natural grocers has small bottles for $1.50). And Moptop has samples on their website. That is a great way to try a line and see what works for your hair!
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney Thank you for replying. I appreciate it so much. I haven't really started yet. Was trying to figure things out a little before I jump in. I scrubbed and diffused yesterday trying to get a better idea of my hair possibilities. I have normal sized hair strands, but a LOT of them. I believed my hair is really dense, HEAVY ( it's long, below bra down ny back) and its porous. My hair will hold on to water for a while. Just wasn't sure where/how to start. Start with cowashing? Start with shampoo and leave in with product? A lot to figure out. I also believe I have 2B at my crown, 2C the rest. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I took pics yesterday I wish I could show you to see what you think. Thanks again for your help. You're precious and your videos always make me smile.
Chandra Raab it is really really helpful to read the Curly Girl Handbook. I have it linked in the description. To start you need to do something called a “final wash” which means you will use a clarifying shampoo with sulfates in it to remove any old silicone residue sticking to your hair. Then you will deep condition really well afterwards. Once you have done that you can jump right into co washing because you have a nice clean slate to start.
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney 😍👍 Perfect! That'll be my first step. Thanks again!
I've been using the gel for a few weeks now, and I have developed a horrible inflamed itchy scalp. I'm not sure if it's the gel or something else... has anyone else had this problem with this gel?
I've been using Teluxe - those same 3 items - for a month now and my hair feels clean but my hair is still dry and frizzy and all of a sudden my scalp is itchy. I would love to have shine and softness like you have but I've been trying products for a year now and no luck. Any ideas? I was thinking about trying Innersense.
I'm a thin, low density, high porosity hair. I color my hair. I STC while in the shower, plop for 15, dry plop and add a small amount of the gel. Diffuse upside down til 90%, SOTC when completely dry. TY :)
Micro plop not dry plop🤦😂😂
You would probably love innerscense. Most people do. I bought the color awaking shampoo and conditioner so many times. I’m going to switch to the moisturizing conditioner though. I messed my hair up with dying it. I have aging hair and it hates hair dye so I’m trying the heavier conditioner now. I love their leave in sweet spirit while my hair is still soaking wet. I haven’t tried anything else because I’m a product junkie and I switch around but I always go back. If you do try any of their styling products drop me a line with how you got on with it. If you want of course. With the tre lux I suggest rotating that with other products. I find products usually work better that way.
Nice review! New subscriber. The music throughout the video is distracting, however.
Anna S thank you! Duly noted.
Hahahaha I so had the same reaction you did on your day one results! I'd be interested to see your thoughts on the line on a lower dew point day and see if you get less frizz!
Thanks to you my silk pillow case and bobble band thing (lol) is on it's way TODAY! Woohoo!
Shauna Ferguson yes! I really think these products are going to be absolutely glorious in the winter! And how are you liking the pillow case? And invisabobble?
Swavy Curly Courtney love them!! Much less frizz and the bobble holds so securely! Thank you for the recommendation!
I wish my hair would come out like yours. But I think my hair is 2a.
Mine is 2C so it’s similar to Courtney’s
This is such hilarious timing, because I just bought the Hi Definition gel and used it this morning! I applied it to damp hair (after using Innersense I Create Lift and I Create Volume on soaking wet hair), and I got a CAST. Like, crazy hard cast. But also fantastic definition. Will definitely see how applying it to wetter hair works for me.
Yeah the folks over at TreLuxe told me that if you get a crazy hard cast, you probably used a little too much of their product. 🤷🏼♀️ It’s all trial and error.
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney Oof. Okay, yeah. I used less than half what you did, so I'll adjust tomorrow with the same amount, but in much wetter hair. Each time you work with a new product, it's a gamble!
Christine Kofman that is so true! Always a gamble! How are you liking the products now after playing around with them some more?
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney It's just okay, to be honest. I'm likely going to return it. Not because it's bad, but because it doesn't do anything special. The reigning combination so far is Innersense I Create Volume underneath Ecoslay Orange Marmalade. It's a high bar to beat. I tried using it for damp refreshes, too, but it was middling in that arena as well.
Christine Kofman I totally understand that I personally have returned many products that didn’t blow me away. I’m always amazed at how different everybody’s hair is. The eco-say orange marmalade was too moisturizing for my hair. Crazy! I do love innersence products though!
Have seen a few of your videos. You are cute and your hair is the bomb. However, I’m so confused as to exactly what products you use/recommend. Seems your all over the place with all these product brands. It’s frustrating when you swear to how much you love product x and the next day another is your ‘favorite.’ There are hundreds of products to choose from with new ones coming out daily. I think not all recommended products work for all people. We are all so different with so many variables.
