yea, his fingers really are long and delicate, and he is a master of all styles. The Moves of his fingers remind me of the legs of a dancing spider. 👌

So great. Greg got the tone sound Danny gatton was going for back then . Equipment was not as easy to control in 70s 80s

That’s just silliness. Tone is in the hands. Fender and marshals…pretty much the same amp designs since 50s and 60s

@@johnhartley3022Sound, tone is much easier dialing in today. The style of guitarist, whatever, vibrato, slides, boomer bends Individual expression comes from hands. Individual expression also comes from tone. Nobody sounded like Guitarist Brian may’ or Eddie Van Halen during the 70s because Eddie, and Brian May built thier own guitars. Wire thier own pickups. Building your own electric guitar during the 60s was long process, hard to do. With help from his father, Queens guitarist, Brian May said, they would only get so far, Waiting, looking for parts.

So in other words....no rules. Love it. The first time I heard mix-a- lidi-penta-flat 5, is when I said...nah...just gonna play.

Its something roy buchanan would do, other tele guys like roys onetime friend danny gatton would do that too. Roy would use his tone control with stuff to imitate a wah wah, i think much like his volume swells it was to imitate pedal steel stuff
