Fantastic review thank you Kev … After watching I’ve just downloaded -does the app incorporate hills and hill sprints ? If not do you think long term no hill work would be detrimental to your overall running progress ?
Thanks, Mark! And excellent question. YES there are hill workouts (wish I could have included that in the video). My particular plan and race has flat terrain but if your race/plan does involve elevation, then you will also be assigned a series of hill workouts to complete! Those workouts are definitely helpful and since Runna has it, another good reason to try out the app. Hope that helps! Will pin this comment so everyone is aware!
Highly recommend the app 🙌🏼Helped me shave 14 min from my half marathon time. Baseline was 1h42 minutes. After 8 weeks 1h28mins. (I used the alpha fly 3 on raceday tho)
Well this app looks better than I thought. I just started using Stava this year and I’m extremely happy with it, but I’m going to start a marathon training program with Runna. My two biggest concerns are whether or not Runna will work with my Apple Watch, and how it will work with the treadmills and Strava. Right now, I can start a run on my Apple Watch with the workout app and it will save to Apple Health and automatically upload to Strava. Strava is where I’m aggregating all my workouts now. I hope I can continue this practice once I start using Runna next week.
Hi, I've been using Runna and Apple Watch SE for 7 months now. It's fantastic. it works great with the watch, it's got it's own watch app, just make sure you always start each run from your watch, not your phone. With treadmills, you will use the phone app and choose the treadmill setting when you start your run. it will then give you the right speed for the treadmill to be on and what time to run for / intervals. it will also all sync to apple health and strava
Thanks for the review. For Garmin users, does the app populate speed workouts (or those with varying paces) into the watch, or do I need to create the workout in Garmin connect?
In Runna settings, you can select to add pace targets for regular and easy runs. For Garmin sync, you can select for outdoor or treadmill run. The different stages of the workout will sync to your Garmin. No need to build the workout in Connect. Just select the Runna workout in the training menu of your activity.
When you start the run on a treadmill from your watch, does it have HR/pace information? I hate that when using the phone on the treadmill, it doesn't have any of that information within the fitness app

Thanks for the review. Any chance you’ll do a app comparison 2024 edition?

It's compatible with garmin

Does it make routes?

Hey there! Starting from your watch you will have that info, but not starting from your phone.
@@KevTheTrainer THANK YOU
How do you start a workout on your Apple Watch is it in the fitness app or where?
Runna has an Apple Watch app
