Just got back from Whitby. Early March and beautiful weather. I loved every minute of it. I would love to see those dickinsian cobbled lanes at Christmas also. It was a great experience for me a Londoner. And I will be back. The ppl are also so friendly. Thank you for posting this. Eventhough I took some beautiful snaps myself.
Superb video( part two) of this beautiful place John, great camera work and a joy to watch...better to visit this time of the year that during the hight of the summer when you can't move for visitors....some beautiful fish n' chips there as well....5* Bob
Thanks again great video john shame we didn't see the market or the shambles but think you captured the spirit of the place .will watch this when I'm feeling trapped in the city
A very nice video. It is a while since I last went to Whitby, and I do not think I could climb up all those steps any longer. The museum at the side of the Abby is well worth a visit.
@TheR3J Great stuff,i hope that you enjoy your visit,if you have time take a trip down here to Scarborough,it is only 21 miles down the road............John

@robmasterman Thanks once again for that nice comment, you are right this time of year is the best time to visit, when the summer gets under way,in such a small town with narrow streets, you just cannot move, still good fun though..........John
@togreektown Again thanks for the comments,i know you cannot beat being at the sea shore,as you may have noticed when i am in your neck of the woods i am always down by the harborfront. LOL........John
@Bevoin1970 Cheers Paul,Oh yes it is a cracking town,in fact i have always said that you have to go a hell of a long way to find a seaside town better than we have here in England............John
@ArchieUKx Ha Ha thanks Archie, you never too old to climb those steps keeps the blood pumping, and when you get to the top you can certainly feel it pumping.LOL Thanks once again Archie.............John
The Abbey is supposed to be haunted by a nun. The story is that the nun fell in love with a knight and as a punishment she was taken to the dungeon and the wall was bricked up and she had a terrible lingering death. She is supposed to appear on the staircase.
Wunderful scenery and building :)
