In this video, I share the first part of my awesome motorcycle trip to Yorkshire with my friend Lillie. We are both passionate bikers and we decided to have a girls biking holiday in this beautiful area of England.

Day One: Clithroe - Slaidburn - Bentham - Ingleton - Hawes - Sedbergh - Kirkby Lonsdale
Day Two: Devils Bridge - Ingleton - Hawes - Kirkby Stephen - Middleton In Teesdale - Alston - Hartside Pass - Shap - Sizergh (on the A6) - Kirkby Lonsdale
Day Three: Kirkby Lonsdale - Long Preston - Wigglesworth - Forest Beck (on the A6) - A59 to motorways and then home.
This was a great start to our motorcycle adventure and we cant wait for you to see more of Yorkshire in the next part.

Love your vids and your stunning country! Especially your overlandtours! Lots of inspiration! We spent a month of happiness last year in England and had a short visit to York - beautifull! - on our way to Scotland and the Isle of Skye.

Great content, you and Lillie need to try Buttertubs Pass if you haven't already. Some great roads in Cumbria. Another great route is from Barrow-In-Furness to Whitehaven, along the West Coast of Cumbria the A595 😉 Lots of twisties and pitstops to enjoy.
Wow what great weather for a ride. The view looked great too. looked like a nice lunch and ice cream YUMMMMY. I cant wait to see what happens next. Ride safe you two.
One tip I learned about reversing on a heavy bike was to wait for the front fork to lower on breaking and time it so that as the bike lifts back up you push back on the road so the inertia helps you push the bike back more easily... especially those of use with minimum stature
Oh I fork bounce all the time to back up 🤣

"The road into hawes is not utube friendly" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 yep, done that. That really wetted the appetite for the coming season. We will be coming down from the highlands to stay at Dent and doing the same routes. Really lifts the heart.

Great video. I didn't know it was so beautiful in Yorkshire. I had a bicyclist in front of me in the middle of the road last fall on Rowena Loops. He was on one of those Dutch commuter bikes, bolt upright, with really long socks in an undershirt. He looked like a Muppet. He was leaning over going surprisingly fast for the wrong bike. I was laughing too hard to be mad.

Nice ride but those tight little lanes. Nothing like that here in Oz especially Ribblehead Viaduct. Every time I've seen that sight it's been chucking it down so you girls picked the perfect day.
I love the dales hopefully i will get over from ni for another spin around.
7:40 min: When we where young Sjoukje and I used to walk that sort of British scenery hauling 18 kg of backpack over approx. 20 km daily routes. Those where the days. Wouldn’t be able to do that today. Maybe with only a light rucksack though.

Well Usernk my stomping grounds you managed to find some of the most excellent roads in Lancs and Yorks. You should have done Buttertubs and HubberHolme to starbottom and Kilnsey trout farm. Most excellent with a Lanky twang to boot.
Currently in Canada where it’s -22 overnight and -14 daytime high. 🥶🇨🇦. This cheered me up!

That’s the kind of day you hope for on those kind of roads when you’re just out for a scoot, some outstanding scenery too, good times.
Only thing that bothers me is the lack of roadside fencing you guy have in your countryside, I’ve hit a sheep on a motorcycle and take my word for it, it wasn’t much fun..

I don't know the road numbers, but they're pretty much town to town google map routes. Towns are in the description :)

Greetings from Barnet! Why so many g!rls use and abuse the expression «living her best life»?😃
My girl friends often use that expression, but mostly to justify their bad behaviour or to neglect their own Health while engaging in poor diets. (eating too much fast food & drinking too much alchool in our nights out😅)
Better than that fancy-good-looking-net, only a few elastics like that yellow one Lilly had on her luggage, to definitely secure it and avoid sliding off the seat. My brother (Suzuki Hayabusa) even removes the "Back Seat" to help "nesting" the bottom of his luggage and avoid slipping.😉

- Revs really high so they can hear her and watch out because she's aproaching ... NOT!😄

As a Yorkshireman I have to say we are blessed with roads and views, great to see you riding them and look forward to once again riding them myself. Ribblehead to hawes is definitely a fave.
That road from Slaidburn to Bentham is something else, your camera of course levels out all the humps and hollows which is a shame but not as bad as that lookalike Chris Frome who thought he owned the road, damm menace.

Lilly needs some ROC straps to tie down her load. Those net straps never keep gear in place. That was some great spirited riding. The terrain closely resembles that of north central Kansas through the sandhills of Nebraska up into central South Dakota. Fun trip.

Lovely roads but that cyclist blocking the road... that was bad. That person should have been more aware and moved over once they saw that one motorcycle had already made a passing maneuver.
I ride bicycles and motorcycles on the road, when I'm going slow I always look around to make sure I'm not blocking anyone behind me.
I agree. Seems to me some bicyclists feel they are more entitled to the road than anyone else. Certainly true here in the USA.
Definitely, some cyclists think they own the road.

Coming from the other side of the pond, i must say i really enjoy your videos, detailed information, and just plain fun vibe that you share. And the phrases that you use, that you just wouldn't hear here in the states are true gems. "What the hickety heck"?!? i've got to get over there and ride some of those beautiful roads.
ok, so it just dawned on me, and i'm showing my age here, but the portion where you said what the hickety heck reminded me of the "child catcher" in chitty chitty bang bang!

Born in Leeds in 1967...brought to Australia in '75...back once in '79.......I love seeing my beloved Yorkshire and the places l didnt go or don't remember....thankyou..l do very much appreciate you bringing it to me...👍

Lilly get some Rok straps, great roads I know them well having lived near Clitheroe. You should try Northumberland my back yard, lovely, in Summer. So good to watch this on a wet day holidaying in the Borders.😎👍

I live in Hampshire but I've spent a lot of time in that area and there are three outstanding areas. The forestbof Bowland, the lakes and the Dale's. Kirby Lonsdale, Hawes, and Settle are great touristy stops. I've done every pass in the lakes and buttertub ( Head North at Hawes). Great roads great places to stop and eat, it's definitely worth it.

It’s raining cats and dogs here in North Queensland Australia so no bike rides at the moment . Looks like you two are having a great time though. Nice ride great views and good company. Doesn’t get any better than that. Have to say Lillie looks like a bit of a speed demon 👍 good pace setter 🚀

I see a lot of cyclists out my way (sure, I cycle, but not like that!) and sometimes I'd wish they'll show a little more respect, if only for their own safety, but I appreciate they want to keep momentum.
