Actually great to see an apprentice get shown how to do it ,instead of been shouted at
Unfortunately boss's like that are a rare breed!
😁
Nice to see the encouragement you’re giving the lad passing on your knowledge. Everyone has to start somewhere
Exactly the point I was going to make, apprentice being treated with respect and getting shown how to do it rather than being shouted at. Much respect to you.
I run my own training centre. If only there were more out there like yourself willing to give these young uns a chance. Top man 👍🏻
great to see that you are sharing the knowledge and technique to other
Fair play to you mate would love to be your apprentice! Proper good raport with the young lad, made him seem like an asset to the team. Good hands on teaching skills there 👏
Another Excellent job and encouragement for the lad showing him bad habits can cause real problems later on in a friendly way not trying to put him down just showing how things can go wrong and helping him on the way Cheers Stu hope KC and rest of your family are all doing well and i know this video was put up Two Years ago but i still like to comment Onwards & Upwards as they say Cheers Buddy.
Seeing that foot plank down in the mud , fond memories , thanks mate

Nice to see
You make it look so easy Stu. Great workmenship.
Well done Stu , good guidance , seems arkward him being left handed ,
Young fella doing well.
Your pick n dip is most perfect..the right conistence of the mortar..right Format of the Klinkers..and the right size of the Trowel 😋😋
Proper bricks those Stu , good old Frogs in the middle , nice n heavy , squidge out the mortar job , looking good love had he used the corner joint before , seemed to struggle with the string 😉👍
Young enthusiastic lad who's prepared to work hard for a living 👏
Those bricks look a nightmare mate look as if they’ll suck the sugar out of your tea 😂 nice to see big Al back in action top job mate 👌
Yer not kidding about those brick ,been laying em today, hard to keep gauge.
I see you've got the hang of pick and dip method Stu.
Another lefty like me joning the trade. 👍👍👍👍😉😉😉
Still prefer the traditional way of laying to pick and dip. It just seems more natural to me😂😂😂
Great to see a young English kid ripping it up! Look after him mate he's the future of our trade, i still remember the fellas that pointed me in the right direction 36 years ago.

Keep well stu
Gunna try my first pick and dip this week Stu..... wish me luck. 🙏🙏
As part of a wrap round extension I'm going to dig my own founds for a garage down the side of my semi detached house. When digging the founds for the front piers, do you dig across from pier to pier too, or are the separate ?? Love the vid's, they really help me understand the basics of doing an extension 🙂
Eu gosto muito de ver você trabalhando é muito técnico um grande profissional, e faz muito bem ensinar os jovens a trabalhar , seja muito abençoado e feliz...🙏👍👍👍

Студент 😊👍
Nice work Stu, would those bricks look better flush jointed ? They do look difficult to lay.
Brick of course as if old, but looks unusually cool, well done mu
Hi Stu as an idea how much would something like this cost from start to finish with materials as an idea please mate
Go on lad
Walling rugby balls today. Look aesthetically pleasing which is what it all about
Wait a min stu! I can see you’ve changed ur brick laying style to a cross between pic n dip n traditional! Tell me I’m wrong?
That looks like the kind of brick that spalls after a few years of frost.
It is a terrible brick mate. Worst brick I’ve used for many years. All shapes and bananas. Good test tho 😂
@@Stucrompton1 stu remember they are baked can only wall to the points of Harris... rest concave or convex we the bricklayers can not do owt about lol

And he is a lefty, great team a righty and a lefty nocking a wall from both ends,
Stu have you ever used dish soap as a plasticizer?
You sure that garage doesn't come with a house attached? 👍
I’d prefer the finish look of them bricks hahaha
Your seats match your jacket logo....
How many brick do you lay in a day?

Noticed you Dropping a lot of mud on the ground on this job
Arent you supposed to soak the bricks in water before laying? So that cement bonds better?
Where is your regular guy? I really like his attitude. Hope he’s be not gone for good. The new guy has a ways to go. I hope he’s smart enough to soak up everything you teach him. Great video. Great no looking work done meticulously well!!!!

Hello from Russia! Please tell the old subscriber how thick you need to fill a monolithic concrete slab for the Foundation of a one-story brick house, if its outer walls are 2.5 bricks?
Уж шипко большие мастерки.
No expansion joint , was it not needed?
Massive stretch without would have thought there would be 2-3 movement joints in total perimeter every 6 meters.
There is 2 in the back.
YA GET THE PICK N DIP CRACKIN LAD!
Жесть! Треть раствора на землю летит.
What profiles are they?
How much does it cost you to do this job?
Hi, sr how much contrect work only laybur reat Rs/sft/m² in your city Area ,, And i am from pakistan ....??
Stu you do some crackin builds. And I don't mean be a troll. But is it me or am I a bit slow. You seemed to lose/waste. A lot of mortor on the back end of the brick at the start of the vid. If I was labourin for ya n mixint muck I'd have Monk on . There's more ont bloody flewer than ont wall..or wus it cos thad not bin out of scratcher long. Please advise. Fellow Wiginer.
I noticed that, if it's not your job, are they not so bothered about the waste?
For m2 how much money you have, here we have in Russia 1m2 2 stands for the work of 1200tr t e 20dollars
I don't understand not having a back up block or brick. But I'm not English either.
