Thanks Steve, I watched all you garage builds and got some very useful tips. Great to learn from each other. Im still learning lol. Up to Warrington after this to do an extension so be asking you where the best places etc are👍🧱
Great channel, really good to watch a skilled professional at work. Love the explanations. Went a bit quiet for a while with few uploads....and I missed watching them. Good to see you are uploading again.
I feel your pain with builders merchants brother.. we’re still here on site waiting for a ‘first drop’ delivery from last Wednesday ! Great video as ever
Just a quick question. Can you put kingspan or insulation on top of the visqueen/damproof before the concrete goes in to stop heatloss through the floor of the garage is attached to the house?
Yes, I did this on the extension to this house earlier in the year. The floor needed to come up to the level of the room in the house when it was knocked through, I put insulation in before the concrete was poured to bring it up to the house floor level.
Watching this in preparation for starting my own project. Is there any reason the blocks were upright on the first section you did, but laid flat on the other side of the garage? Thanks for the very useful videos 😎
Hi mate, my client had plans drawn but didn’t need planning or building regs, the only issue was a tree this had to be agreed for it to e chopped down and thats all building control wanted
This is the go-to video for footings and setting up. Brilliant content.
Thank you, much appreciated 👍
Really like the explanations on each step. Its real life and real working out👍

No strengthening of the floor slab?

I did this for extra strength because of the trees!

Hi, nice work. Did I miss the part of not using a mesh in the concrete layer?
First video where I was excavating the foundations, we’re placing the fabric mesh in to the concrete
