Part 2 here of trains thru the Cajon Pass!
Was a very busy day, with multiple trains crossing thru the Mormon rocks at once! In some shots, I just flew from one train to the next in one shot haha!
We start out by barely catching up to the MRVWC desceding down the UP Mojave Sub. You'll hear the conductor call out a Diverging Approach, as they take the siding at the North Switch of Canyon!
After they clear up, another Southbound UP arrives behind them, and holds the main. They are both waiting for a Northbound to arrive at Canyon.
As they come to a stop, I fly over to Main 3 to catch a Westbound BNSF stack train dropping down into Cajon!
We then return to the Southbound UP, who is now on the move after the Northbound they were waiting for arrives. As they start to roll, another train pops up! So I fly over to Main 1 to catch an Eastbound high priority BNSF. You'll see the UP pass above this train in the video, pretty cool!
You'll also see a Dirt Bike racing the train here!
Later, we see a close up of the Southbound UP taking the siding, while the Northbound Waits.
We'll also see a switch in motion, actually switching tracks! Pretty cool!
Enjoy! Thanks to Everyone whos been watching the Videos and Subscribing!

In light of the recent event on Wednesday Dec. 18th that took place after making this video:
2 UP Crew Members died, after striking a tractor trailer, and derailing in Pecos, TX.
Please keep them and their families in your thoughts and prayers this Christmas, Holiday season.
Rest in Peace
Engineer Clay 🕊
&
Conductor Phillip 🕊
I also want to make known the numbers that can be used to notify the railroad and help prevent such a tragedy:
From the UP Website:
1-888-UPRRCOP (877-7267)
Emergency contact for immediate life safety concerns, vehicles stopped on railroad tracks, hazardous material releases, criminal activity in progress, fires, and other incidents requiring emergency response.
From BNSF Website:
1-800-832-5452 option 1
For track-related inquiries and incidents, please contact the BNSF Resource Operations Call Center here.
You can have these #'s saved in your phone as a Contact, where you can call the RR and they can have trains stopped in case of an emergency like this.
There are also Blue Signs on railroad crossings that help provide your location to help stop trains incase of an emergency:

This by far the best drone footage I have seen on Cajun Pass. Thanks for the video. Living on the east coast we don't get to see a lot of UP & BNSF action
Thank you very much!😎
I love your Hollywood quality videos. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Rob another wonderful video that family waiting on the train got a great show with it slowing down and giving them a "toot" of the horns. Thank you for mentioning the tragedy down in Texas. May the families of both Clay and Phillip receive all the support, comfort and love that they need in this time of loss.
Thank you Caleb 😎
Many thanks for these great videos. Merry Christmas from the UK.

Amazing footage, both from the point of the trains and the scenery. You have given me something worthwhile watching since the decline of British television. Keep the videos coming, please😊😊

Spectacular. 🤯
Haha, Thanks, this was a fun one!😎👋
@RRTrainVideos I love when they start running non stop through the pass like that. 💪🚂
@@FJDad777 Haha right!
The 2.2 grade at 21:23 may not be the steepest grade in this country, but it's steeper than the railroads like it to be. It did contribute to 3 derailments in my knowledge.
stupendo filmato ottimo
Io sono felice di vedere un commento in italiano.
I know alot of train basics. More than most I should say. But, ive subscribed because I love seeing that Cajon pass area, and also intrigued on how you find the information about the trains on your videos? My youngest has learning disabilities and is absolutely obsessed with trains. Most we get anymore is coal trains here in Utah county. But grew up with tracks behind our house. Maybe you could help answer some questions to help us do some train foaming here. Still trying to find accurate radio channels to hear them on
Thank you! I get some of info from UP Employee Timetables. The rest is just experience from watching trains since I was a kid.
I can probably help with some info. Where do you guys usually watch at? Hwy 6 area?
🤟👍😎first comment, i already know its good
Haha, thank you Bradley!😎👋
My late dad and I, when I was in my teens, used to park at Mormon Rocks, climb them, and just spend the day watching. For a train enthusiast, this is a great location. BTW, I didn’t see any traffic on the 3 percent grade (the tracks that are closer to the freeway). Are they being used less frequently? When I was there, I only saw Amtrak using them.
That's pretty cool! I still see some trains on main 3, mainly westbound. Thanks for watching!
Was that Malcolm Smith on that fast machine ? 😇
😅 That was the new Evil Knievel in training
❤
Why couldn't that northbound of just used one of the other tracks? Aren't these tracks all part of the same route?
