Thanks so much my friend. Appreciate yo kind words. I hope you get value from the other videos on the channel and consider subscribing if you haven’t already. 👍
@@PeteJohnsMusic yes I have subscribed . I was particularly interested in this series because I’m a Cubasis user but I’m essentially an amateur at making music. So to see you create something like this from scratch was incredible, and I’ve learned things about the mixing/mastering process that I never knew about . And yes I plan on watching your other videos as well . Thanks man
This series has been great Pete. I use Cubasis 2 because I am stuck on old hardware at present, but most of what you covered is still applicable. I learnt a few things I had overlooked!
Fantastic example of how to master in Cubasis. Really liked seeing the difference between the two Audioshare wav files. Using Grand Finale and GB currently so this series really gave a nice window into creating on a different DAW. Looking forward to the release. Thanks a bunch!!
[EDIT: I’m getting a lot of exercise doing this message…it’s Hallowe’en here Oct 31st 2021, and I have to escape the ‘den’, run to the door, hit ‘play’ on an old iphone with a massive busker amp, and play the ‘storm’ file I have made in GarageBand, from combining Synthmaster, GB and some Moog patch I think it is?! It cracks like thunder as I s-l-o-w-l-y open the door to the children…]. So, for technical reasons, I’ve ended up using Cubasis 3 for a bit (GarageBand has developed a habit of ‘dropping’ midi notes when recording). It’s previously only been used to reduce the final volume of a stereo pair version of a song, so it’s good to do a bit more. I kind of liked the way of mastering you showed everyone though Pete, got used to exporting from GB iOS then grabbing that stereo Wav file into a GB song specially/only for fine-tuning that audio in stereo (because all tracks can be stereo in GB). So I might still take an output from Cub3, ‘master’ it the way I already do in GB, then finally out to Cub3 again to reduce final volume. I dunno, best to try them! Thanks as always Pete, for your generosity in sharing and putting yourself out there. FINAL EDIT… now the glorious British weather has defeated most of the Trick or treaters, I finally managed to try this ‘master strip’ malarkey. I remember why I don’t do it. The DSP skyrockets. Too many AUs at once.]
There’s a nice bus 🚌 on it....we gotta love 💕 it ! That’s interesting 🧐 I was told that everything below 200 hz was inaudible anyway so turn em down ! The Master controls are split compression, stereo imager, loudness, and limiter . When you A/B, you’re mix will show that you got it somewhere ! Pete....just remember: this isn’t about your destiny, it’s about your density !
Exceptional production! I’ve enjoyed coming along every step of the way. Pete, If you are still doing the series on other daws, PLEASE check out Audio Evolution Mobile. It can now do most of what cubasis can do and more in an easy to grasp and efficient way like with splicing a track. Best of all it’s only $10 and the developer is quite responsive to actively improving the app! I have both cubasis and audio evolution and it’s tough to decide which one will be my go to when I’m not using GB and need to have a time stretch function. I would hate to see creators miss out on such an affordable and accessible program just because they haven’t been exposed to it! If the community support was equivalent to that of GB or even cubasis it would become my Daw of choice for the ipad. Really interested in discovering what you think of it!🦋🦋🦋
@@PeteJohnsMusic yes you definitely could use some r&r after the time and energy it took you to create this series. I look forward to your unique perspective and insightful teaching style if you choose to explore Audio Evolution with us!🌈🌈🌈
I cover this in a few different videos. Maybe check out my Final Touch series for info on this - ua-cam.com/play/PLc8Xg_23Wa576LHjLmYHbYtuxAObdbiBh.html
@@PeteJohnsMusic Cheers Pete, I was just wondering if u think its good idea to add LRC5 to the mastering in Cubasis or are you pretty much doing it with the multiband compressor ?
So…. I still go to Final Touch personally just so I have everything in the one app and all the tools at my fingertips. But Cubasis is definitely cool and has some great tools.
Not sure sorry. Maybe ask over at the Create Record Release Facebook group at createrecordreleaae.com, or the Discord group here - studiolivetoday.com/discord.

Hmmm...I now know what the master strip is! It's amazing how this DAW has a mastering feature! 😁

All hail the master bus!!! Really awesome to see your process from scratch to finished polished product.
Cheers my friend. Has been a lot of fun.

I’ve always been pretty dense… in many senses of the word. 😄
When you do your next Cubasis song, before your mastering presses, in the mixing turn the master bus to the same level that you do on GB
Might be a good idea.
What a great track and sound! Thank you so much!
Cheers Pablo. 👍😎
You are a master!

I've been using FAC MAXIMA for mastering.
FAC Maxima is a great option too, especially if you’re on iPhone - ua-cam.com/video/yHck_BXoc1g/v-deo.html
The compressor is the best and their Chorus is the best by far !
Thank you brother. Hopefully we can collaborate in the future. I cant my wave autotune to sound any different.

Hey great content! Question, how would you compare this to a stand alone mastering app like Final touch?
So…. I still go to Final Touch personally just so I have everything in the one app and all the tools at my fingertips. But Cubasis is definitely cool and has some great tools.

Hi Pete...Can we import video file in our project so we can do the audio work accordingly?
Hey there. You would need to convert the video to audio first using something like this - ua-cam.com/video/nQXeCDU5FTg/v-deo.html
