There is one thing that I see from watching so many of your videos, something you don’t discuss a lot or focus on in your narratives. You say your ability to score is based upon great performance inside 100 yards. That is definitely true. But your other strength is that your swing and ball flight is pretty consistent. You rarely hit a big slice or a big block to the right, at least one that leaves you in an unplayable situation or OB. 80-90 percent of the time you are hitting a low draw that allows you to confidently line up and aim accordingly. You can take one side of the course pretty much out of play. The low draw also affords you a lot more distance (roll out) than if you hit a high fade.
This used to be true with the low draw v high fade but clubs these days with the low spin means that isn’t the case. Bubba Watson comes to mind as one of the longest drives and he hit a very high fade,
Hey Adam, it’s Adam! Would love for you to do a WIIB! I’m thinking about upgrades for my bag and would love to know what you’re playing as I am closing in on your handicap! Your mental tips and swing thoughts are truly what’s getting me close to high single digit handicap golf!
This is an absolute demo on how being good inside 150 and putting well inside 10' will keep you in it even when your swing isnt firing on all cylinders.
Despite all the beauty, strategy and pure golf bliss in this video, my lasting takeaway will be you muttering "on an undercover cop" after saying "1-8-7" (9:16 mark for those who need to hear it). That was gorgeous. You're such a joy, Adam!
Going there for 4 days in June 2024! Question: is taking a caddie worth the expense? What if you are the only person in your group taking one? Won’t that mean you will get one of the less experienced ones? Thanks in advance for any answers. Love the channel. Upload more often!!
Caddies are worth if you are new to the course or if you are playing 36 a day. I go most years and so don’t “need” a caddies yet about 1/2 my buddies do get caddies. Not cheap yet can help the experience
Adam if you are ever on the central coast of California I would love to show you around Morro Bay (the poor man’s Pebble Beach). It’s a really fun track with a great design and some incredible views, and an unbeatable price. Would love to see you try out the course!
i'm an avid player and routinely shoot 88-93 (including on Bandon Dunes when i go there annually). I'm a ~15hdcp. However, just by using some of your "mental" tips that golf is not a game of perfect, i shot a best 9 score of 38 (+2) at my home course. easily 6 strokes better than my normal. i attribute this to changing my mindset more to yours (I'm not a scratch golfer!) Thank you for sharing your golf game and attitude. I'm hoping this will help me get to my end of season goal of being a single digit hdcp (but not scratch) golfer.
I’m going at the end of March and very excited. I’m playing to a 10 hdcp but only drive the ball about 220 average. The green tees have so many long par 4s at all the courses. Not sure why they don’t have a combo orange/green for the courses. Weather dependent I’m guessing, what tees you recommend? I think the experience especially at Bandon seems more about the walk than the score.
Loving the Bandon content. I’ve heard trails may be one of the best out there but often stays below the radar of most raters compared to the sister courses. Thoughts?
Have you tried new taylormade mini driver? That is now my best club by far. I don't get it as far as my driver but 9/10 it's middle of the fairway and now I can actually shape my tee shot.
Your channel has been an inspiration for us... love your concise content and very good commentary about managing your game. Would love any feedback or ideas. Keep up the good work
Grinding it out! My handicap is down to 9.2 by making better decisions. I’ve got a mental block every time i have chance to break 80. Last 4 holes at my home course are tough but just hitting terrible shots and losing balls. It will come soon. Anything you do to relax when you got a good round going?
The other day I shot my new personal best, an 86, playing bogey golf or smart golf, I couldn't believe I had shot under 90 for the first time and I came to the realization that there's always going to be bad shots, but you can always get a decent score regardless. There is nothing greater than feeling like you could had played so much better and still getting a score in the 80s. Stay humble, we only go up from here!
Watching these videos I am sometimes curious about what might happen if you took 1 extra club on every full shot. There are times it seems like every first putt you have is from 40+ feet away and it's always short. Might be an interesting experiment for a video in the future.

My go to channel to remind me that I’m not good enough to get mad at golf. Keep it up!
A little nod to the Baus in this vid…. “Waddaplaya” nice vid!
Thanks Adam. Another good video
I love trails. I fucking love trails. such a good course. curious to see which is your favorite course once all the course videos are released!
Thumbs up for "let's put this one in the air" 😂 - relatable!
Fav channel!
Another good video. Just the meat and potatoes with no extra stuff. Do you not play the same ball for each round?
How does he make it look so easy 😭
200 yard par 3s aren’t scoring holes for anyone!
Great video once again Adam, but for the love of god get rid of that ugly ass ball😂

Right? Next time I'm 187 out...
I love those Srixon divides
"187 on an undercover cop" lol -- nice -- little Deep Cover ref

Cool video brother. Surprisingly bumpy greens for a Bandon course, no?
Love the vid, love everything u do, but seriously watching u putt with that ball is gonna make me have a stroke
Great video!
That second shot on 13 was supoib - 👍

Adam, i thought we talked about that ball......
🤣
That Big Pun reference 🔥🔥🔥

Trails is very under rated. Thanks for your videos. Recommended to others for sure. Keep the positive vibes sir!

My parents retired to bandon and I play out there every couple of months. Trails is by far my favorite course I've played, not just at the resort.
Did you also play Old MacDonald while you were here in Oregon?
Maybe you’ve referenced it before, but what do you use to trace your shots?
What kind of grass are the greens? Just bent grass?

I thing he’s letting his ego get in the way…lol
