I am envious. I had one of these and sold it in 2000 and have regretted it ever since. I have acquired a Hobart 400 with only 125vhours on it for a trade out on a boiler repair for a company that I have work for 20 plus years. A great machine but I miss my miller because it had all the options. Best of luck in your endeavors.
SO glad I found this! Thank you so much for sharing I have a big 50 that has been sitting can’t get it to start. Knew it must be something simple I hope I can follow your lead and get it going.
I have a Big Blue 400 d that I got full of water and the fuel filters and fuel lines were rotted off. Has the duetz diesel and I drained the water and oil replaced the fuel lines and filters and she runs and welds great. Keep up the good work
I think your vids are great and informative. I have a question, in all of the videos on running a mobile welding service no one ever talks about the getting paid process. How do you go about it? Do you get paid on the spot or bill them like net 30 or something. I hope you can answer t his for me.
Hell yea man good runner right there. Ive got the lincoln version of that and has been a fantastic machine for years and a gouging beast! Just keep the rad clean and topped off cuz thos continental like to get hot in summer under full load a
I’ve been looking everywhere for reviews on this one I picked up one recently what site do you get parts from or do you just search the part numbers up

Mostly a lot of people put a toggle switch on the idle no flip it on let it idle down when you're not welding and flip it off when you are welding
Half the fun is fixing it! Can't wait for the welding trailer build out.
Was just thinking about watching another video from you. Great job budd.

Great video more please 🙏🏻
Congrats on your two diesel welders . Did you have to rebuild any of your auto cranes on your trucks?
Have you had trouble with it not welding?
Just got a miller bigblue 251D and it is flawless. Made in 1996.
Good deal getting one of them going, are you going to get both up and running.
Would the miller big 50 handle getting 220 wired into it?
What was your alternative replacement for the idler solenoid?
Dont know which is which but some of these machines are designed to run on high idle continuously.
