- I wouldn't believe you if you were to say this was a VR game. Cause looking at it from the outside I wouldn't think it'd be possible to make something look THIS GOOD and have it be playable. This is seriously such a fantastic leap for Virtual Reality. And I can't wait to see more titles push the limits like this.

Once graphics like these are available on cheaper and easier-to-use hardware, I have no doubt VR will truly be the main if not only form of entertainment everybody will use, and I have a feeling its coming a lot sooner than later.
I think that will come sooner than expected with unreal engine 5, as soon as it gets implemented in VR games we will have amazing looking games that don't need a powerful hardware
@@rickgrimes2431 well you will still need powerful hardware if you intend to run anything in VR my RTX 2060 struggles to run the valve index cus its not designed to run duel 4k screens let alone a single one.. and that's just how vr is

To answer everyone's questions
1. The game is known as Hubris VR
2. This game plans to release by mid 2022
3. This is a demo, not a full release
4. This is made for the PCVR platform and is not available for quest use (not saying it won't be in the future, but as of the moment it is optimized for PCVR)
5. The gameplay looks shaky at the beginning because I literally have a camera on my head, so the slightest movements will show in the video. Also I do FOV boosts to my videos to make it easier to see the full picture of what's going on. (otherwise the footage would be super zoomed in and hard to understand what is going on) Most VR games don't have stabilizers/streamer cams implemented so this is the best thing I can do in terms of recording for a smooth experience.

man this motivates me to make a whole ton of money so i can build a full VR setup in my home. I would then smoke a joint in a friday night and just explore worlds like this while high af. man i am so happy to be alive at this time
That sounds dope, i never thought of using a joint, i was just hitting the good old bong, but a joint is nice to chill and keep yourself inside the VR, taking headset off to smoke forces game to shut off, but it's such powerful plug and playability that it instantly reloads depending on the nature of the connection, for instance it won't load you back into an online multiplayer match, but it would load you back into a single player game. you should just wait till October to see if the quest pro has the full library that PC VR has, if this ever happens, PC VR will be killed by expensive full body tracking attachments.
@@talk006 PCVR will never die. Games like the one you are watching exist because of GPUs. A snapdragon CPU with onboarded graphic processing will never beat our hardware. Even when they get the Snapdragon to equvilate an i9 and a 3080 simultaneously, we will be miles ahead on like 6 or 7000 series cards with 14th gen processors. Sorry.

Now I just got a Pico4 and a 4080, and let me tell you, the new higher frickin' resolution really trips me. Is just like discovering vr again.
Now I wanna an omnidirectional treadmill, but the slidy stuff reallyu pisses me off and the other stuff is too expensive (i will never financially recover from the 4080's overpiced msrp) so I think I'm gonna build it myself

all the music was actually edited in post so the fact the video comes off that way makes me really happy. I love creating videos and establishing feeling through that. It really means a lot when I hear things like this so thank you

I reached out to the Dev team about it. They provided me a key in order to play it, I’m not sure they have a public demo atm
The texture is actually using an illusion technique if you look/focus at the texture actually its a low res texture but you won't notice if you look something else. This is common in AAA game .
THIS GAME IS AMAZING! I just feel like the landscape and music is worthy to just sit down and enjoy the view. When it fully comes out I wish to be the first one to ever play it! Sooo do the full version in your videos! :)
The graphic fidelity is insane! But the music is all added in post editing. So what you heard in this video were select soundtracks that I threw in to make the experience feel the way it did. Cause in my head that's how I felt playing it! 👍

When looking at this game i cant help but reminded, what if tomb raider classic 1-2-3 get remade/ported into vr like re4vr, it would glorius day. The jumping and swimming in this game remind me of that. Amazing game this one is. Hope unreal5 soon can optimize game like this to quest

Okay, I understand the surprise and sheer "wowness" of this presentation, however, AT should've watched [experienced] this like 4-5x before making this vid so he could calm down a little and let us HEAR the game's progression and voices.... it was hard getting a read on the VA's and some of the RPG portion of the music/dialog due to the screaming and constant yelling of "Duuuuude, this is omg! wow this is amazing!" type of stuff. You want to get everyone's attention to this title? Go back and redo it and this time calmly and "quietly" explain certain areas or point out places or people in a manner that doesn't take away from the actual game experience. I give U kudos for bringing this title to the table though... that said, I'm going to rework my sound mixer and see if I can push the games audio thru the commentary and then try to re-watch this again, its VERY interesting!!!
The voice overs for the game are not finalized and were pretty lackluster. Most of the "voice over" I was talking over was only when the character kept repeating the same line. In the other opportunities I was silent and let the gameplay speak for itself. Overall I was happy with the commentary and really enjoyed scaling the video to this music :D

Agreed. All the yelling made me turn it off. Hopefully someone who can contain themselves a bit more will do another review... Glad you had fun man, but all the shouting really did take away from the experience.

the power of PC/PSVR gaming,this just shows the devs are pasionate,instead of making mobile level games or port a 2004 game to quest for easy cash,they decided to make something breath taking.
Finally someone who understands the pain of VR games limiting themselves to the standards if quest. Sad to see some really great titles take the easy road when they can make some really good looking games.
There's nothing in this game a "mobile level" can't run if you decrease the graphics.
It's less physics intense than Blade and Sorcery..launching today on Quest 2

no this was all analog movement with the headset (HMD) being the direction controller. Swimming was they controlled by movement of the arms :D
