You noticed he said a single coated dog shouldn't be outside in the cold right, and dogs are pack animals they want to be inside with their human..but anyway your ignore shall stay blissful
@@joshstorie246 dogs were breed to be around us, and they are intelligent animals, don't call ppl fools when you probably still have the mind of a child, Mr Charizard profile pic 😂
I don't think I'm never going to stop trying to get my dog inside I feel like when my dog is in side the house he gets lots more of petting, and love, he's so happy when he's in the house!
My dog is an outdoor dog she has half an acre in the front yard, and when we feed the animals, she has a whole acre to run around, we are outside everyday. She sleeps on the porch or in her crate. We knew she did not like the inside of the house since she was always in ger crate, but outside she can sleep anywherr and play with any thing, chase the chicken protect the house and stay active.
I’m guessing it doesn’t get that cold where you live or it doesn’t snow. I live in Alaska and I have a 3 year old German Shepherd and a 10 year old Rottweiler-Mastiff mix. I only let them out for hours in our back yard during the summer where it’s pretty warm like 70° but in the winter they mostly stay inside my house. It gets down to -30° where I live so they can’t stay outside.
Dogs are meant to live outside. They have lived outside for centuries. It has been only over the last couple of decades, mainly in the Western world, where dogs have primarily lived inside. The still primarily outside throughout the rest of the world. Yes, dogs are social animals and prefer to be in a pack of....dogs not humans. We have isolated individual dogs and forced them to be our "companions" for our own selfish reasons.
My dogs are 99.9% of the time outdoor dogs. They love being outside they hate being inside they get nervous so we end up leaving them outside. They only come inside if we believe it's too cold or too worm. They will come on their own accord but after about twenty minutes they are very eager to go back outside. They never destroyed or jumped the fence, the only time they do anything destructive is they love moist dirt and the giant hole in my backyard. I think it depends on the dog and the owner. Some dogs are depressed when outside other really love being outside and having their own space. I'm not saying I don't hang out with them in the back because I do but after 10 minutes they go do their own thing and go lay in a pile of dirt and sleep.
To all the people who say its cruel to tie up your dog outside, some of us arent allowed our dog inside. However, they get all the excercise they need, because we walk our dogs too. And our dogs also have houses that are heated and comfy. Just because it lives outside doesnt mean its neglected.
@@ClayMationNation bro yes man i’ve been dealing w that w 2 diff families that moved in while i’ve been at my house.. they leave it outside al day and night and it barks at every single little noise.. whines at times and i feel so bad for the dog and it’s a puppy at that🤦🏾♂️
It’s clear you love your dog and would do even more for them in better circumstances. And of course you would never intentionally be cruel to them in any way. It’s just important to remember that the dogs don’t have a direct tap to your brain to access all the good feelings you have for them. Their brain is separate from your brain and they only know what their senses are experiencing. To get a feel for what their world is like. Take even just a few personal hours, set a timer, and place yourself in the exact habitat that you’ve set up for your dog to enjoy. Take a note of the everything you experience. That the dog might experience too. “But dog brains and human brains are different!” That’s right. And many people have devoted a so much of their time into figuring out what those differences are that now anyone can have a good idea of how a dog experiences the world around them. Dogs need to feel proof that we love them, too. Just like anyone else we hope understands how much we care about them
it just depends on the dog, for a lot of them, its cruel and they werent made for it and for like huskies? fuck yeah, outside all day every day, you know?
My Shepherd/Pit mix is an outside dog. She loves being outside at my grandfathers house and i don't mind her being out there tbh. When it's winter i make sure to buy cedar to spread in her dog house so she can stay warm when she's outside and when it's summer she just digs up a hole by the tree to stay cool lol. I've tried giving her a bed, she has ripped them all or hasn't used any. Also if you don't want your dog breaking fences and causing trouble (like my has done plenty of times lmao) take them for a 30 minute walk and all that energy will be drained from them. 😂😂💯
lol y'all need to chill for real. They are animals alright, they'll be what you make of them so don't treat him like your child or toy and he won't be whiny and pathetic. He needs to respect you and every your decision, to know his limits and to be trained to obey. Don't make a brat out of animal
In my country it's actually really uncommon for peopoe to have their dogs indoors (I live in a tropical climate btw). It's a really stupid dynamic if you ask me, but most people here just have dogs so they can chain them up outside and leave them to guard their homes. I have an 8 year old Ridgeback mix, we've had her for literally all her life and she's never been inside our house. She's a really good dog, potty trained to go in the backyard, calm and obedient. But my parents refuse to let her stay inside because of how much she sheds. We have a kennel outside for her to sleep in, she's well fed and we play with her and spend as much time with her as possible. I'd like to think that she's happy with her life outdoors, but I'll always believe that she'd be happier inside.
Yeah it's very common in South America to just chain ur dogs up outside and just have them guard your house I dont even live in South America but am from a South American background and my dad does the exact same thing I consider it animal abuse
Aren’t animals created to live outdoors? How can you spend more time with your dog if you work all day? whether inside or outside you’ll still be away from them.
Domesticated dogs have lived outside for the last 15,000 years. While some breeds have lived indoors for many centuries, it wasn’t socially acceptable to have a dog-especially a large one-inside a house. It was considered filthy.
@@Babybookieboo and don't forget droll all over house, fart, their fur smells bad and they rub that smell all over and they also hump furniture and pillows. Disgusting
magpiemaniac honestly my dogs are inside dogs but my neighbors shit themselves every time my dog is out for more than 15 minutes even though I paid $11,000 to have a fence installed and my dogs aren’t barkers. It’s led me to think didn’t dogs live outside for 1,000’s of years but my dog can’t be outside for a few hours
My first dog only stayed outside and slept in the garage at night. My dog have now is a inside dog. My experience is a inside dog is more fun and they r more happy cuz they feel like more apart of the family. Inside all the way!
same my dog stayed outside slept in garage at night. I want my dog live inside but my parents wont allow it. What should i do ? What if my parents kept the dog at home all the time?
My neighbors have a outside dog and I love it, the dog is better than any ring or surveillance camera. If I hear that dog barking really late sometime is up. I really appreciate it, I actually feel safer with it, it's not a dangerous dog but it's loud
My parents won’t let my labs inside the house. Instead, they spend half of their time outside in our huge nicely fenced backyard and the other half of their time in our garage. In our garage, there is a nice dog bed that one of my dogs LOVES. My other dog is a weirdo and sleeps under a large shelf so we put cardboard under there so that he won’t have to sleep on cold cement. They both have nice blankets too.
Outside dogs won't get in trouble if you train and exercise them properly...I would expect someone who deals with dogs to know this. To assume that all outside dogs are going to jump and be destructive is extremely close-minded.
Most of the dogs that my family have had have started as inside dogs but eventually my dad doesn’t like them using the bathroom inside so they go outside. When I was younger, I didn’t know how to train dogs and I didn’t know that you could. However I have recently gotten a puppy and I have been spending the time that she sleep to watch dog training videos. I am determined to keep her inside unlike most of my childhood pets.
Our dogs with outright refuse to come inside, you can open the door and invite them in and they'll refuse, they love it outside, in fairness they aren't confined to a yard they have about an acre of grass, gardens and a cow named percy to hang with, they're happy all year round, depends on the dog.
My dogs are outside dogs. I’m an outside human. I work from home in my workshop on my property. They spend all day with me 7 days a week. Granted maybe not all day on weekends but I still have a few hours of chores on the farm so they are with me. 5 dogs that get more attention than 90% of most inside dogs.
I just got to the part on your farm dog topic. Good call. You’re right, we take very great care of all our animals. I also spend a lot of nights (couple hours) smoking my cigars outside IN THE COLD with my dogs. Ha ha I have experienced the cold cold nights with them. They do a lot better than I do. Kudos.
This is painful to hear David. Most dogs in that kind of environment end up there due to their owner's lack of motivation to get their issues fixed. Dog's are extremely smart, and they do learn rather quickly to adapt to their human's needs. These neighbors have just not tried very hard. Sorry to hear. Angel...
Are you seriously calling him a bad owner? Do you know what stray dogs are? Do you know what cars are? What about thieves? Or cruel children? Not everyone can keep a dog inside and sheltered. There's some dog breeds which hates being inside it prefers outside. But yet this man is cruel for keeping his dog considerably safe.
What if the dog WANTS to be outside ? I have a Newfoundland. He does not care if its raining nor snowing. I am not forcing him either way. If he wants in, I let him in. If he wants out, I let him out. He spends about 80% outside in cold weather. Room temp inside the house in winter when the heating is on, seems to warm for him. In summer, during day, he prefers the cooler inside, but sleeps during the night outside. In my opinion, your dog will clearly show you, when or if he wants to be in or out. Spending quality time with your dog, to me, is a separate topic, and has nothing to do, if your dog prefers outside or inside. It becomes and issue, if you force him either way.
I had two German shepherds that were both outdoor dogs. We had a huge backyard and bamboo all all over on the corners. They were well fed , ran arounf a lot, got lots of love, toys, and all the care. They even had a nice big dog house area for rain and harsh weathers, we had an air conditioning system for the summer. But despite all this whenevee I told people that they were outside dogs people would think we were cruel. A flood cane and we had to move to a condo. One of our dogs passed away (not bc of the flood ) and now we have one german shepherd. I think being an outdoor dog for her was much easier with another dog but now I spend the whole day with her even bc of quarantine. We have a patio area connected to our garage in our condo, its smaller than our huge backyard but circumstances forced us to be in a condo. Shes well taken care of but it still hurts me to see people judge me just because shes an outdoor dog. My parents wont allow her inside but ive provided her with everythint and she absolutely loved us. So i wish people would understand outdoor dog concept more
Im considering getting a german sheperd my self, Ive already built an shed for it to stay in harsh weather I will be working on day time and come home after to play with the dog and give him the mental stimulus it needs. Is it only okay to have only 1 dog?
I want my dogs to be inside but my parents won’t allow him inside . My dogs can only come in my gallery once they came inside and me parents told them to go back outside and they started to cry .
I have a Siberian Husky. And im trying to convince my parents let her be inside. We have a cAt too and im training them to live together. I asked my mom to let her be in the night with us. Then so she can be inside.
We adopted a 1 year old dog that is kinda violent, he has to be kept in the backyard for now. It's improving with training, he no longer attacks anybody on sight.
I had dogs outside growing up in Texas all my life my brother has a Yorkie, living outside they were all aggressive, and they all survived, night time chained up, day time run around they did nothing like this
Personally i feel an outdoor dog is more of a working dog thing, i have a retired sheepdog who has lived outside his entire life and enjoys being outside. I do take him in if the weather is particularly bad but for the most part hes desperate to get back out as soon as he can. He has a heavily insulated kennel to protect from cold and heat and has constant access to water and regular food. He gets daily attention and normally helps me (as best he can) when working. Someone still called animal protection on me despite him being happy and healthy because they never see me walk him down the road. We have 800 archers of land he has a disability so i chose to walk him in the fields ...
My dogs an outdoor dog, he's well trained and dose his business in the grass only. At night he sleeps in the shed. I want him inside but he's a lab and my parents don't want him inside. He doesn't mind being outside and I don't really see what's wrong with it.
There is nothing wrong with dogs being outside. That is their natural habitat.. The issues comes in when you put a dog that has always been a pampered indoor dog outside, Because they are not used to watching tier backs to predators. It is better to have two or more if they are going to be outside.. so they have a companion to watch each others backs.. Start with an electric fence from a pup.. And that boundary will be imprinted into adulthood.
I have 5 Jack Russells and they all live outside. They are not allowed in, but my grandpas house is in the woods, so they can roam wherever they want, but there is only one problem we have. They all have plenty of food and water and shelter, but cars. People rarely come to where my papa lives, but yes, they get ran over. My dogs get ran over. We have literally tried to stop this but trust me it’s very hard to do it. It might be a little bit of my fault, which it is. But we try to train them, very hard to make them stop, though. But overall they are happy.
I have a gated yard that’s like quite large maybe an acre my dog loves it he’s outside the entire day only comes in in bad weather changes. It depends entirely on the dog and what they prefer, saying a dog will thrive better indoors is not accurate for all breeds and same vice versa🤷🏻♀️ if you love and care for your dog it shouldn’t matter
Growing up my parents never brought dogs indoors when my dog gave birth to her first litter it was winter 🥶 and she gave birth in the back yard l remember most of the pups froze my mom managed to save four. My brother and I would sneak them inside but the pups crying would give us out, eventually our dog ran away .
My dad doesn’t like my dog outside, so it told I would keep him outside, but my dad wants the dog tied to a leash and I don’t, I don’t know I might sell the dog because he may have a better life than the one I gave him.
I feel like people overdoing and overthinking a lot of things these days. If you don't treat your animals like they came out of your womb, they call u an animal abuser. Actually it is simple. People who don't have time for their animals simply shouldn't get any pets at all. That is the most important rule of all. Think it through before you buy a pet. Then decide if you want an outside or inside dog. That also depends on the country you live. I live in Indonesia and it is very warm here all year, so of course we don't have the winter problem here but at evening it cools down a bit an it is nice for animals to be outside. If you live in colder or 4 season countries you have to consider what kind of dog is suitable for that (if u want an outside dog) . Of course he also need a shelter then, everywhere cause it might rain and so on. So yeah, your dog needs dail attention and you should spent time with him. Again, if you don't have any time to spare or take care of your dog properly don't get one. This goes for every animal. I have turtles, rabbits and a dog and they all live together outside and I feel that they are satisfied and not neglected and can walk around freely all day. At night everyone goes to their place/house so nobody will steal them or whatever might happen at night and when i wake up everyone can walk and play freely again. So yeah, everything is possible if you do it right, have time and take care of your animals. Ps: nothing against this video, there are very good advices.
My German Shepard is going to be living in a: 9x9x9 dog kennel. We live in Northern California and the coldest it gets here in the winter is about 45° and in the summer we would keep him inside. Do you think that what we are trying to do is humane? We would be frequently playing with him, and spending 95% of the day with him, it’s only at night that he would sleep in there. We have a blanket, toys, and food and water dish in there for him.
i know that you have good intentions but thats the same with me and my family gave out and now i only walk it but i would do anything for it to live inside. dont get a dog if you gonna make it live outside
I have two Great Danes and a pug, all of them adults and one of the great danes elderly. The great danes we have them outside because of behavior problems, they don't poop or pee in the house but they destroy everything when your not looking and the pug lives inside but he has worst behaviour problems. Can this really be fixed? It is our own fault.
I have a neo mastiff and an XL bully both prefer to be outside where they can just play and be themselves. I WFH and leave the back door open for them, rarely will they come in on their own.
Have a doggy door, give him access to the house. Yes it’s normal for people to keep their dog outside while they cry and bark. It shouldn’t happen but yet you have people who don’t care about dogs and still get a dog. It is normal, that doesn’t mean it should happen. Dogs want to be with people

I have a golden outside dog since my parents hate shedding and my mom is not a fan of dogs. she thinks they are ugly... So we built it home and gave it a friend and it has a heater for the winters and an AC for hot days. so it feels at home. and I also spend hours with it and play so much with it. so I think if you have an outside dog. build it a home. give it a friend. add Heaters and ACs. and spend a lot of time with them.
But my doggs where outside dogs from a Boerboel which never bit me even I child it met for the first time and my first German Shepherd which I got when it was already trained didn't bite me or cause any problems, only my black retriever used to cause a mess and loved exploring outside unfortunately they died due to age and poisoning. My new German Shepherd which I got when I was older and Doberman haven't done anything wrong they just love playing around they even don't just attack people
Just answer the simple question! Yes they can live outside if you have a proper place with fences! My german shepherd love to stay out side and not destroys anything! We put him in and he begs to out out.
How can your dogs protect you if they live inside ? normally it depends if you got a familly pet ( like a chiwawa ... ) or a protection dog for my case i have a suiss shepherd and a doggo argentino they live outdoors in the backyard they are meant to protect the house and the yard from any intruder as to mention i live near the beach far from the city my house is wide open with glass windows i would say sometimes i don't feel safe since i live just me and my mother and little sister so with my dogs around they are very alert and very protective towards their territory they know their job is to protect and i feel happy and relaxed. The thing is you need to teach them when they re young so they can adapt well i remember when i got the swiss shepherd she was 2 months old she was put directly in her place in the back yard so she never yawned but with my dogo argentino we got him at the same age but we kept him inside for a week so when we put him in the back yard next to his big sister he used to yawn all day so he can get in for like half a week ! now he know he isn't allowed to go inside and he knows his place and his task
yeah i have a german shepard that lives outside but i would love for it to be inside also dogs can protect you better if they live inside because not like a burgalr wants to get shit from your backyard he wants the stuff in the house so if they are in it would be better
My dog is a completely outside dog she isn’t chained up she stays in the yard she hates being inside she screamed when we tried to take her inside due to a storm she absolutely hates being outside
Having a dog tied up outside the whole day is cruel . Even if your not allowed to have a dog inside you should either buy an electric fence or have a fence . I have outdoor dogs , I used to have them tied up when I was little but I had no control over that . One thing I did notice was that my dog was very aggressive the time he was tied up. Now that I’m older, I managed to get a big fence around them with more than enough playtime area where they are free and also have there warm protective little home. If there going to be tied up 24/7 don’t have a dog at all .
I have a Labrador and he is just 5 months old and his name is Robby and he is also an outside dog.He loves to Standup with support, like he is trained for sit, handshake, down and we are training roll.he has a kennel and it's usually hot in here .when it's hot he jumps into the kennel and he takes a bunch of wood and leaves into the kennel and play with it.but naughty thing is if he sees treats,he will behave;but when he don't see any,he will not and he will run to the bushes and sometimes will get inside the bushes.when he was little he slept in a big box inside the house.and when he is released he'll run and go under the car.and now he doesn't.but he puts his head inside any place he wants like between two bars.
I have an outdoor dog he's chained when it's night time and he's off the chain when it's day time. He's a farm dog and a family dog and also a advanture dog he loves going to the forest with us to collect mushrooms.
No it isn’t impossible to potty train. Funny how I have my well behaved, clean, potty trained german Shepard laying on the floor right next to me right now, there’s a doggy door as well, meaning he can choose to go outside, but wants to be with me.
I have a dog, her name is Sheela. She lives inside because, if you were to put your dog outside... She would feel neglected and sad, and forgotten. That's why you potty and house train them when they are young. Having a dog inside doesn't mean your house will smells like dog crap, unless you don't train your dog or think it's better to shove your pooch outside and ignore him for the rest of his life.
Where I live is always nice outside. I'm looking for a breed that wants to be outside, and doesn't care for inside. I want it for watching over the house, jogging in the mornings and walks at nights. What do you recommend?
I have Rottweiler, and he's very protective, but also very friendly, and he adores the outside. But I think it all depends on the dog where they like to spend their time.
Just have a doggy door, they can choose to go inside or out. You’ll find that most breeds, whether they like being outside or not, will sleep in your room with you.
I got my dog to be a dog outside . he is then 1st alarm for any intruder or un wanted animals that can coem thur the yard. now he does has his own fenced in area with house and all. I do let him out to have a free run of the rest of the yard but i have to watch him at times because he will tear up some things. and has to be put in time out,
I want to make my dog an outside dog and im worried he will feel neglected, and im not sure how I should keep him entertained outside if he isn’t inside always. How do I balance my dog with enough attention, and outside time.
Sophie Mcdoogal ... Dogs are social beings, and therefore thrive for our human attention. Some people get a second dog, however, if left alone outside, they will then have each other's company (which is good), but both will continue to look for THAT human attention anyways. Besides they will both then get wilder as the animalistic predispositions kick-in. I usually challenge people with a very personal question of, why is it that you need your dog to be an outside dog only? The answer may shock you. At the end of the day, your dog will not thrive in that environment. Think it through. Good luck with your decision.
@@brotherLee340 That sounds like something a psychopath and/or animal abuser would say. No you can’t just do with your dog as you please. There are things a dog needs. @@captainjackpugh6050 dog needs food and water. And proper shelter. Some interaction. It's not that hard. Not everyone treats their dog like a child. Of course I'm not gonna abuse or neglect my dog. But his/her feelings aren't my primary concern.
My dog hates the indoors, she sleeps inside the garage, has plenty of room to run around and loves the cats in my neighborhood. No one in my neighborhood dislikes her and she doesn't jump she politely wags her tail and comes up to people. I go outside a lot and we make all her meals for her. I wanted her to be a indoor dog but I'm not allowed. She has been in the house and hates it. She is trained, has some shaded areas and is very well behaved. I agree it's not for everyone though, most people spend to much time inside and would barely see their dog.
Some dogs are destructive those are the ones that get outside they have torn up your furniture the house the doors and he just don't want it inside of course it can live outside their in a problem with that you just got to train it to be outside you're going to get a couple sleepless nights here and it howl and bark all night but it's perfectly fine for it to be outside as long as it's got a house some bedding water and food that's it
Honestly i want him to be inside with me but he's a wolfdog and despite my attempts he just doesn't like closed spaces, and i don't want to stress him, so i'll just let him be outside until he's willing to come inside, it's up to him.
I want to begin to integrate my outdoor dog into an indoor dog. My dad got my boxer as a guard dog 9 years ago when we got a house. She's lived outside her whole life. Now that she's getting older I want to bring her inside. I didn't have the ability before because I was younger but now I'm older and I think I can take on that responsibility. Could I get any hints as to how to begin?
It's hard I think doggy door will be way better don't force her inside. Have a bed outside and a doggy door with a bed inside near the doggy door. Teach her how to use doggy doors. She will get comfortable coming in, but don't just put her inside
I have a pitbull and she’s stays outside and she isn’t chained up in one place. Is it okay for her to stay outside while the weather is hot? I’m always worried she’ll get too hot but I’m not allowed to bring her inside the house to cool down.
Are dog only stay in at night in a cage but he go to be anxious in the cage at night crying trying to get out so we moved his cage outside he loves it and it doesn't smell in are basement anymore he is a very large dog and he is better outside
As far as people complaining it’s too hot outside, a lot of people were raised without air conditioning, it was life, we survived as humans. Animals are meant to survive outside. Chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, dogs etc, You name is. It’s only been in the last 10 years or so that people try and make leaving your animals outside inhumane. I personally think it’s in humane to leave a dog trapped in the house all day long. It’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Our animals are only sensitive because their owners are sensitive, animals tend to have anxiety because their owners have anxiety, dogs are babies because their owners make them babies that’s why farm animals/ working animals are completely different. People deciding to leave their animals in or outside of their homes is the owners decision and shouldn’t be looked down upon or praised either way. The goal is to make sure your animals are well taken care of, that’s the point because everything past this is just simply your own opinion. Dogs are not humans and I believe that is mostly the problem, they are treated like humans instead of animals. Love them and respect them and they will do the same, but everyone stance on indoor or outdoor animals it’s completely a preference. And I believe people that think differently needs to be respected and people that think one way need to get over it. It’s none ya business anyways
i want my dog to live inside but my parents say no. they say they will get me 2 dogs living outside in a shed. they will be golden retrievers. they will install heating and stuff. they just find it nasty with the shedding and cruel keep them in a crate.
Um next to my house there is a 3 year old lab and itz always tied outside 24/7 and is not takin to walk daily..and animal control organizations dont care in the country i live in..because of that I make the owners son bring it outside to the road with my dog so that he can at least breath and pee and poop once a day..they also tie him outside on the balcony of there house..and i guess they dont feed him properly as I have seen him eat food kept outside in the road for the road dogs...they dont even play or pet it.....itz always whining
i have 5 dogs, they aren´t chained up in one place, and i love them, but my parents don´t like dogs inside the house :( and I know dogs should live inside, but my dogs have big beds, we have a huge backyard, premiun food, toys and they have a lot of atenttion.
My family is thinking about getting a dog but we want one that will be happy with staying outside and I guess protecting the house. We would give it a shelter and an area for it to sleep, but we want one that will be able to live alone for a period of time. We wouldn’t give it no socialisation, we would take it for walks daily. So overall we want a dog that will behave outdoors and be able to handle weather conditions and be able to tolerate being alone. A dog living with us, just outside. (In the garden etc.) Are there any suggestions for my scenario? Thank you
It's So weird how pet dogs here in India behave compared to bred dogs of the west. I have 2 one year old pariah dogs. They stay in the garage or roam the backyard acting as guards. I open the gate and they stay near me wherever I go without leashes. Some days I don't leave the house and let them out. They roam the neighbourhood, play, explore and come back and wait for me to open the gate. They know how to navigate and interact with street dogs and humans. Exposure to 'unfriendly' humans influence their behaviour around strangers and they don't just go sniffing and jumping on anybody on the streets and they don't enter the grocery store or anything like that. They were born to live independently as scavengers or hunt small prey but make for excellence low maintenance pets that also happen to be very territorial and protective of their "human" family. I think any animal shines in it's natural habitat and the indian pariah dog is a fine example of evolution trumping selective breeding
@@kcha479 not even that. I've got dogs that were born on the street. Naturally evolved dogs not tempered by selective breeding. Didn't have to put any effort in. Using a leash seems like cruelty. Let em sniff the world and such. Not recognized as a breed by the American kennel club but as much of a dog as a Shepard or retriever. Not wild animals as they'd have you believe
Dogs are more then just animals sad to see people can’t understand their part of pack aka family they deserve to be inside i don’t know why people have dogs & just leave them outside people who think dogs are meant for outside don’t need them to be honest
i have two dogs that my dad technically owns but they're hound dogs and specifically used for hunting and he keeps them outside so i always feel bad and go out to play with them (:
My dogs are outside dogs I live in southern CA doesn’t get too cold or too hot when it does it’s rare there’s all kinds of places in my back yard to be in shade for rain or heat
Some people view animals as outside creatures. I know people who won't even let their cats in the house because they say it's so dirty to have an animal indoors
I hope all those who are saying it's cruel to keep the dogs outside, are ethical vegetarians. My dog has so much entertainment living outside! Birds, toads, squirrels, cats, passerbys, noises from neighbours' free ranging hens and ducks...what would she be doing inside all the free time? Eating, pooping and sleeping? Humans shouldn't humanize dogs, but one thing is true - the more you put in to your pooch, the more it gives back
I have 4 dogs and all are rescued and all were outside dogs. They first one that I brought home at night he went into the crate and out in the morning to do his business. I did this with the other 3 and have never had one problem except the puke a couple of time a year and I can deal with that. I keep them in the house at night with me and they really are a big part of my sanity. I love them dearly.
we have two inside but my dad wants an outside dog to protect our livestock and we have like 6 acres, is that ok? we would always be social with them though because we are always taking care of our chickens, pigs, rabbits, goats, and horse. we’ve had outdoor dogs before and they were very good dogs. my dad is a very good dog trainer.
We are getting a outdoor dog and my dad said a husky because of winter. I told him about summer and he said he’ll put a big trampoline we don’t use for shade under it and he can go inside, he will bring out a pool and there will be a area with watered grass he can lay in. Is this enough
I loved your video... I have a problem... I grew up only having outside pets... I think my parents used them more for pest control... Cats... I need like 2 or 3 cats... Snakes... lol but I want a dog... I am a Military Vet... I have been told that I could get a service dog... I don’t know how I feel about having a indoor pet... cleaning up after them in the home is something my wife will never feel comfortable with and I understand... Fur everywhere... I don’t want to get a service animal because I would not take him many places so I don’t need a dog that can go... I spend most of my time in my yard and just would love to have a companion with me as much as I am in the yard... Dogs calm me, but I feel a dog in the house would have the opposite affect if he bothered my wife in any way... I would like a German Shepherd, but I haven’t gotten one yet because I want to make sure I will be caring for him the best. I want a outdoor dog but I don’t want it to bark all night and be that neighbor... lol thanks again for the great video...
your assumptions are all correct sir. I made a mistake getting a german shepherd... dont get me wrong i love her more than anything and so does my dad but in my culture we are not allowd to have dogs inside. She barks all night and all day when its nearly time for her walks. I wish i could get her inside but trust me if your not going to let your dog be inside then dont get it because then the next 10 years of your life will be chore of you taking it out for walks. I love my dog like crazy but it would be way easier if i could just keep her inside. Also if you keep your dog inside then the training that you do with her would be a lot easier. And if i were you thne i would get the service dog if i could
My dogs been livening outside for almost 5 years he was trained as a farm dog when we got him as a puppy and we have chickens and ducks and he takes care of them 😭 it’s so cute and he loves being outside and he also barks when unknown cars pull up and we have this big cage for him with his dog house inside the fence and the fence is like maybe 5 ft tall and 20ft long took a long time to build and we have no problems it’s his area and he can do whatever he wants in there and he doesn’t like being inside at all 🤷🏻♀️ because believe me having him on a chain near his dog house it’s a bad idea my dog got loose like hundreds of times and went to animal control 7 times and the nighboors threatend to shoot my dog if he went back and we had to pay 400$ 🥶 but he hasn’t gone since then thx god and those nighboors are gone and that was like 2 or 3 years ago so yea in cold winter nights we bring him inside but having a outside dog is not a bad idea at all
my dog stay outside sleep in garage at night. I want my dog live inside but my parents wont allow it. What should i do ? What if my parents keep the dog at home all the time?
I have two dogs American bull dog an a persi canoe what ever these two have been outside. 1 do not believe in breeding. Nor do I believe in chaining them up. But yet again there not allowed inside but other than that there awsome
I have a pure breed Rottweiler and I'm sure he's able to tolerate the weather but I leave him outside cause he poops all over the house even outside he'll poop in his dog house is there any advise you can give for this

Wow
I keep my dog outside also since there’s not enough room in the house and he has lots of running space and play space in the backyard
That's how it should be. Dogs belong outside, disgusting having a dog inside. They also destroy the interior of your house, if kept inside.

I agree that dogs are outside animals but they are lur friends and we aren't forcing them to be our companions they are

I'm not saying I don't hang out with them in the back because I do but after 10 minutes they go do their own thing and go lay in a pile of dirt and sleep.
i think every dog needs a balance of inside and outside
Dog should be outside pet only and if they inside they must be in their crate
I live in Barbados, in our culture we keep dogs outside for the main part. We play with them, look after them still, and they do fine.
To all the people who say its cruel to tie up your dog outside, some of us arent allowed our dog inside. However, they get all the excercise they need, because we walk our dogs too. And our dogs also have houses that are heated and comfy. Just because it lives outside doesnt mean its neglected.
All we're saying is, don't have a fucking dog if it's gonna annoy the piss out of your neighbors with daily and nightly barking!!!

@@j.blu2 I got a megaphone to let them know
It’s clear you love your dog and would do even more for them in better circumstances.
“But dog brains and human brains are different!”
That’s right.
My dog sleeps outside but i want him to be inside but my parents dont want😭. He looks at me in the window and cries everytime he sees me
@Viridiana Zepeda Um dogs can cry, it's also called whining.
That's sad if I was a n neighbor I would had called the police by now
Me too I have a one year old daschund and my parents its not nice for my brothers but I pray everyday for him to go inside
Dogs don't cry
lol y'all need to chill for real.
Why can't you just say which country you live in?
@@RicardoAGuitar i think theyre talking about south america ¿? Idk

It was considered filthy.

magpiemaniac honestly my dogs are inside dogs but my neighbors shit themselves every time my dog is out for more than 15 minutes even though I paid $11,000 to have a fence installed and my dogs aren’t barkers.
We don't need that my my house. My dog still plays but it's more respectful. He understands our limits and he has a healthy balance
same my dog stayed outside slept in garage at night.
He's just a old fool that knows nothing but think he does
Exactly what I said lol. Your dog isn't going to get into any trouble as long as you take them for a walk, that way all that energy can be drained.
Should’ve told your dad that there was a thing called potty training.
Our dogs with outright refuse to come inside, you can open the door and invite them in and they'll refuse, they love it outside, in fairness they aren't confined to a yard they have about an acre of grass, gardens and a cow named percy to hang with, they're happy all year round, depends on the dog.
Dogs poop, don't wipe their bums and then sit on your couch/bed with their bare bottoms. Dogs are not clean animals and mine will always stay outside
Kudos.
My neighbor has a dog on a chain. I don’t understand. I’ve talked to him and he says it because it won’t stay in the yard. He just needs a gold fish
Angel...

Do you know what stray dogs are?
Do you know what cars are?
What about thieves?

Not everyone can keep a dog inside and sheltered. There's some dog breeds which hates being inside it prefers outside. But yet this man is cruel for keeping his dog considerably safe.
derpyyandere if you can’t keep a dog inside and sheltered, you shouldn’t have a dog.
@@yanderederp I agree BUT as long as the dog gets attention and gets play and exercise time

I have a Siberian Husky. And im trying to convince my parents let her be inside. We have a cAt too and im training them to live together. I asked my mom to let her be in the night with us. Then so she can be inside.
We adopted a 1 year old dog that is kinda violent, he has to be kept in the backyard for now. It's improving with training, he no longer attacks anybody on sight.
I had dogs outside growing up in Texas all my life my brother has a Yorkie, living outside they were all aggressive, and they all survived, night time chained up, day time run around they did nothing like this
It’s fine to leave your dog outside and has shelter, food and isn’t chained up all day. but leaving it chained up 24/7 is not okay.
So people are just busy bodies and don't know how to mind their own business.
Dogs are animals. They have survived centuries on their own without our help outside. Nothing wrong with having an outside dog
My dogs an outdoor dog, he's well trained and dose his business in the grass only. At night he sleeps in the shed. I want him inside but he's a lab and my parents don't want him inside. He doesn't mind being outside and I don't really see what's wrong with it.
@wandering_about how are they horrible plz explain
It depends entirely on the dog and what they prefer, saying a dog will thrive better indoors is not accurate for all breeds and same vice versa🤷🏻♀️ if you love and care for your dog it shouldn’t matter
yeah, see what the dog likes...if its a hot country though, i think the dog would prefer outdoors?
@@yux.tn.3641 true but if a country is super hot they’d probably be better off inside though with air conditioning. But again it depends!

I grew up with my dog outside. I'm grown now... My dog is in the house... Clean n smelling good
I have an outdoor dog he's chained when it's night time and he's off the chain when it's day time. He's a farm dog and a family dog and also a advanture dog he loves going to the forest with us to collect mushrooms.
mushrooms are poisonus for dogs
Everytime i tell my parent what to do that is the right way with our puppies they say no
same
My parents are the problem. My mom has a phobia of dogs, but she agreed to get me a dog, but she won't allow it inside the house
I have a friend who needs to keep his German Shepard outside cuz it is impossible to potty train so she Stays outside
Maybe a German shepherd? But it would take a lotta excercise :P
Look for a guardian livestock breed or an akita. My cane corso hates being outside
Just have a doggy door, they can choose to go inside or out. You’ll find that most breeds, whether they like being outside or not, will sleep in your room with you.
@@captainjackpugh6050 not my dog she refuses to go inside she barks and whines inside
I got my dog to be a dog outside . he is then 1st alarm for any intruder or un wanted animals that can coem thur the yard. now he does has his own fenced in area with house and all. I do let him out to have a free run of the rest of the yard but i have to watch him at times because he will tear up some things. and has to be put in time out,
My dog is complete outside. We still bring her in when it gets cold. She’s never really been inside my house before.
Worrying about your dogs Feelings is the first problem. Just a dog. And you can honestly do with your dog as you please.
Get things for your dog to do....toys, water, a place to lay down. Things that you do with an inside dog. There is no difference
@@brotherLee340 That sounds like something a psychopath and/or animal abuser would say. No you can’t just do with your dog as you please. There are things a dog needs. You sound like the kind of guy who says “yeah I have a dog” and really just has some malnourished dog on a 5 foot chain in his muddy backyard.
Some dogs are destructive those are the ones that get outside they have torn up your furniture the house the doors and he just don't want it inside of course it can live outside their in a problem with that you just got to train it to be outside you're going to get a couple sleepless nights here and it howl and bark all night but it's perfectly fine for it to be outside as long as it's got a house some bedding water and food that's it
Digs are happier, and live longer outside. They were never meant to be inside houses, in big cities. My opinion, farm dogs have the best life!
Potty train him. Use a doggy door. Have a dog bed besides yours.
It's hard I think doggy door will be way better don't force her inside. Have a bed outside and a doggy door with a bed inside near the doggy door. Teach her how to use doggy doors. She will get comfortable coming in, but don't just put her inside
thats very nice of you, i plan on doing the same thng when my dog gets older although i wish that she could come in now anyways (shes 1 years btw)
What about street dogs in third world countries? They live outside in all kinds of weather and environment.
👐🏿 thank you
i want my dog to live inside but my parents say no. they say they will get me 2 dogs living outside in a shed. they will be golden retrievers.
they will install heating and stuff. they just find it nasty with the shedding and cruel keep them in a crate.
Have an outside kennel WITH ac and heat, good fencing to prevent escaping, and most importantly give the dog ROOM TO RUN.
Mhm, I’m getting a German shepherd puppy and that is exactly what were doing for it to be able to stay outside maybe 80% of the time 😌
Um next to my house there is a 3 year old lab and itz always tied outside 24/7 and is not takin to walk daily..and animal control organizations dont care in the country i live in..because of that I make the owners son bring it outside to the road with my dog so that he can at least breath and pee and poop once a day..they also tie him outside on the balcony of there house..and i guess they dont feed him properly as I have seen him eat food kept outside in the road for the road dogs...they dont even play or pet it.....itz always whining

i have 5 dogs, they aren´t chained up in one place, and i love them, but my parents don´t like dogs inside the house :( and I know dogs should live inside, but my dogs have big beds, we have a huge backyard, premiun food, toys and they have a lot of atenttion.
Lol my dog isn’t social at all he just sleeps 15+ hrs a day
My family is thinking about getting a dog but we want one that will be happy with staying outside and I guess protecting the house. Thank you
get a bird
What did you end up getting? How did it go?
Used to live on a farm with free-roaming dogs and they stayed on the property. It really depends on the environment and the owner who raised the dog.
Napa Extra I have a feeling that that’s how dogs are supposed to be. I distinctly remember it being the same way when I went to Mexico.
My dog lives outside yes he chews on everything I live on 6 acres
My dog never goes inside but he loves the heated floor
My winter-60 degree My summer-90-100 degree, my dog house-Air conditioner
I have a husky and she lives outside i dont want her do live outside but my parents dont like dogs
we have two inside but my dad wants an outside dog to protect our livestock and we have like 6 acres, is that ok? we would always be social with them though because we are always taking care of our chickens, pigs, rabbits, goats, and horse. we’ve had outdoor dogs before and they were very good dogs. my dad is a very good dog trainer.
We are getting a outdoor dog and my dad said a husky because of winter. I told him about summer and he said he’ll put a big trampoline we don’t use for shade under it and he can go inside, he will bring out a pool and there will be a area with watered grass he can lay in. Is this enough
I guess if the dog likes water AND the water is cold then it should be enough.
And if i were you thne i would get the service dog if i could
My dogs been livening outside for almost 5 years he was trained as a farm dog when we got him as a puppy and we have chickens and ducks and he takes care of them 😭 it’s so cute and he loves being outside and he also barks when unknown cars pull up and we have this big cage for him with his dog house inside the fence and the fence is like maybe 5 ft tall and 20ft long took a long time to build and we have no problems it’s his area and he can do whatever he wants in there and he doesn’t like being inside at all 🤷🏻♀️ because believe me having him on a chain near his dog house it’s a bad idea my dog got loose like hundreds of times and went to animal control 7 times and the nighboors threatend to shoot my dog if he went back and we had to pay 400$ 🥶 but he hasn’t gone since then thx god and those nighboors are gone and that was like 2 or 3 years ago so yea in cold winter nights we bring him inside but having a outside dog is not a bad idea at all
If I close my eyes, I promise this gentleman sounds like Bob Saget. Great advice though
my dog stay outside sleep in garage at night.
I have a pure breed Rottweiler and I'm sure he's able to tolerate the weather but I leave him outside cause he poops all over the house even outside he'll poop in his dog house is there any advise you can give for this
what if a dog sheds heavily?
Groom it
I groom monthly but fur is always there, shredders shed
I have two outside dogs is that ok
