I am Happy to tell you I caught my first 2 West Virginia Stocked Trout Todayon one of the StingEye Spinners I bought from you last month. No Pictures I do not have a camera they were Eaters. I am going to put them through their paces next week ( First week of April 2019) when West Virginia DNR will stock NOTHING BUT Golden Rainbow Trout in 55 bodies of Water from April 1st through the 6th
Hi Ivo! Wanted to ask you, what kind of boat do you have? I’ve been struggling with making a decision on which type of boat I should go with. I enjoy bass fishing as well as being on the big lake (Lake Michigan). Your seems to be capable in every video so I figured I’d ask! Thanks for the video, I love them! Hope all is well!
That was a nice Laker. Thanks for the video. Send me your address and I will send you a bigger net. LOL I'm going to have to look for that flex jig. I picked up some sting nose jigs and the do work great for perch and walleyes. Thanks for all the tips.
Yes lake trout are part of salvelinus (char) family. They were once Arctic char that stayed behind when the land was losing its water. Slowly the land turned into lakes as the water left.. They stuck to the higher oxygen area's. Brook trout are the same except they generally got a raw deal kidding.. But they did get stuck in much smaller water.. There name is salvelinus fontinalis --- fontinalis means fountain ... Like fish of fountains- springs.... the salmo,(brown, atlantic salmon) salvelinus, (arctic char, brook trout, bull, lake) and the oncorhynchus (rainbow trout, chinook salmon, coho etc families .. many don't know the bow is more a pacific salmon then a trout. In 1993 they moved with cutthroat. though it makes sense with where they live
check the wind forecast before you go , South wind , South West up to 20 km/h ok .North , especially East above 10 km/h will be bumpy, more than 15 stay home , or fish in the river.
Yes it is. Not sure I’d try to run up to Devils hole but the lower drifts and Niagara bar are definitely fishable in a 16’ Lund. Make sure you pick your days if venturing out on Lake O.
@@thundermistlures yes and t/u to all. Thanks too to you - for the entertaining and instructional vids. Might actually travel to that body of water to wet a line.

Ivo what size Paddletails do you fish for Lakers 4” or 5” with these jigs
I actually use both...4 inch when more finesse is needed and 5 inch, when the feed is on :)
Is there a brand name you prefer
In your experience and opinion, is a 16' aluminum boat with a 50hp Merc (Lund Rebel SS) safe to be used on that river?

Yeah, 8 lbs test line is abut all I ever run.
What kind of net and model is the net. Its nice and deep. Don't you eat Lake Trout
Can't recall the net brand...as for eating lake trout, the larger ones are generally more contaminated so best not to eat them :)
Looks like catching trout is a two people operation.
What brand of rod did you say that was?
it's an Ugly Stik brand :)
I need a 2 oz ? Never available
...2 oz is available in the bucktail version :)
