Lots of these seem to have hit the market from different manufacturers in the last couple of years - I suspect a patent expired somewhere. Lots of colours now available; potentially you could do an entire model with them (after basecoating). The opacity is generally very good. Buy an entire set of replacement tips if you can find them - they don't keep their shape for long.
No, i don't think so. The limit is the tip of the marker, its good but I feel a brush will be easier. You could probably be very gentle and only get the tip (heh) but press a little more and you get more area. That said, I do plan to do the hazard markings for my LI iron warriors, so maybe I should give free handing a shot.
