Hi Steve! Great demo of the new AK Colour Markers. These are not readily available in Australia yet, but I am keen to give them a try. Not sure about the camo, but they seem to be ideally suitable for small areas and details like the steel and rubber parts of the wheels as you demonstrated, and I think that they would save a lot of time on painting tools and accessories on AFV models. Thanks for sharing, and cheers from Australia 🇦🇺!
@@garylawless3608 Hello Gary, thank you very much for your message. I agree with you. The pins are perfect for small parts, but I'm personally not so happy with the large surfaces. I hope you can try them out soon. Greetings from Germany!
It is kind of funny when our modeling brain sees just how different the markers look as compared to air-brush applied paint. In truth, camo applied in the field does not look that great! It doesn't have to either. Seems like a great way to deal with miniatures, maybe less so at 1/48, 1/32 and larger scales. You could argue that the markers have a nice appearance prior to weathering techniques as well on vehicles. I think I will try them.
Hello Neil, Yes, you're probably right. Cloaks used in combat usually looked very unattractive. If you sketch out the camouflage beforehand and then trace it, it might look a bit better 👍 Greetings Steve.
Just ordered the German interior colors yesterday for something like 10 bucks plus shipping, and they appear to be pretty handy for doing camo and painting smaller details, which makes the model look so much better,I can’t wait to try em and if they are as good as I hope I’ll order another set or two,but yeah, they seem to work very well, does the paint level itself out? I read somewhere that it has a leveling agent added
@@cricketerfrench7501 Hello, the tip of the colors markers is a bit large/wide. It is best to try them out once. The individual price of the pencils is really reasonable. Greetings Steve
@@maxmodellwerkstatt2766 Hey Max, schön das ich dich vielleicht durch mein Video animiert habe 😅 vielleicht seh ich dann in einem deiner nächsten Videos das Resultat 👍 Gruß Steve

I’ve used this set the red brown is nowhere near dark enough compared to the green to bad I can’t get a refund
You could of course filter the color tone additionally, or paint over it again with the pen, possibly making it a little darker.
so what about a clear coat? will this paint wash away?

Glad to hear it. I hope you have a lot of fun with the pens and that they are helpful for your future projects. 👍
Thanks for testing, good job.
Thank you very much. 🙏
Painting camouflage will be much easier with these pans.
@@yammtsai8194 I believe that AK interactive will also release more pens to expand the possibilities.
That's your first problem, don't use a pan!
I think from what I've seen these are best for hard Edge camouflage schemes.
Hey John, yes you can save yourself the hassle of masking 👍
Just got those three colours to help painting the same tank I got as a Christmas present. Thanks for the review .
I wonder how good they will be for 15mm? Could be a bit too big, I will have to find out.

Ich glaube die muß ich mir auch mal zulegen, scheinen ja gut für Tarnung zu sein.... Grüße MAX

They can be painted over and also weathered 👍
What’s nice is when they run out of paint in the middle of a session…😮
@@francopasta3704 That's right, unfortunately you can't see that in advance 😄
Fantastic
@@kennethmeyers5008 thank you very much 🙏
Very good!
@@l3stat thank you very much 🙏
Damit kennst du dich ja gut aus.❤👍
The camo looks like crap. However, the aluminum and rubber black will be useful.
😂 ...The camouflage looks a bit unsightly with the pins, that's true. That's why I can only use them for small parts such as boxes, add-on parts... 👍
Mr sulu says "oh my"!😳

So you can do the exact thing with a brush and have it more uniform using a brush. Do not see the use for these.
You're right about that. However, I find the pens very good for small things.
Each to there own. People say that about using an airbrush who have only used brushes
@@trevoratchison3904 you cannot do the exact thing with a brush as you can a airbrush lol 😂
Не очень как-то выглядит
I also find the pens unsuitable for camouflage. However, they are very good for small parts.
