      Which is why you don't see high IQ guys like Lebron continue dunking like they did as kids. It's not that they can't make highlight dunks anymore, they just intellectually choose not to, to take care of their bodies. Klay learned that the hard way in the finals.

We see too many legends have their careers cut short or miss out on reaching their true potential due to stupid mistakes. After all these years of playing this beautiful sport I’ve never experienced a single injury. **knock on wood**

    Both squats and deadlifts have eccentric components to them. Saying they are “primarily force production” exercises grossly misrepresents them. Riding a bike could be considered primarily concentric, but not a squat...

    • @PyroInferno110
      @PyroInferno110 6 років тому

      Samuel Hatcher but that only depends on the way how u do it...when you are doing eccentric exercises with weights which I dont even recommend cuz bodyweight is what makes you purely strong especially when doing eccentric exercises, but if you were to start off doing the squats slow then going faster then yea that's eccentric

    Always land on the front part of your feet (Toes Area) When I’m landing from a jump I always make sure my toes are closer to the ground than my heel. That’s how athletes like LeBron avoid getting injured frequently. Derrick Rose is an example of landing incorrectly. He got knee injuries because he lands on his heels too much.

    I still believe that due to all the variables in basketball; quick decision making, body control, defenders, the basketball, the time on the clock, the context of the game. It is hard to just say “learn how to land better” some of the best plays are unexpected and are done on the fly with out much thought. Good facts and ideas but in practice this will never come to fruition.

    If this is true, then there would've been waay more injuries in the 90s,80s, & so forth.. Players today train mostly on the court rather than wind & muscle strengthening.. In those days, players couldn't pick up a bball without months of physical training.. That's the main reason for today's injuries..
