    I think I’ve realize that I’ve come to really love tinted lip balm’s because I get the hydration I need but also the color that I want and it doesn’t look too overbearing for the occasion well I wear lipstick a lot but sometimes I just need something that looks subtle for every day-milk makeup had such a pretty lip balm in the color PlushBerry And it’s discontinued so I’m trying to find a dupe for that so far the only thing that has come close that I have is the elf lip core balm

    I'm looking at the Neutrogena and Honest Beauty lip balms because I want a cheaper option - but could you describe how they taste? I get really ick when lip balms taste or smell really plasticky or just bad in general

    • @haotruonggg
      @haotruonggg  2 роки тому +3

      Yes, of course! The neutrogena lip balm has a chemically smell/taste because of the sunscreen. The honest beauty one has a faint traditional lipstick smell/taste. You could try them out and return whichever doesn’t work out for you. Most places won’t give you a hard time if you decide you don’t like it :)

    Word of advice: if you’re still constantly getting chapped lips but reapplying your product constantly helps so much!
    That product could be chapping your lips.
    I had been using neosporin’s overnight renewal lip therapy, for YEARS! But none the less my lips were constantly chapping, breaking, and bleeding- I would purposely use lip gloss all day because that helped them not chap during the day but not at night. Finally I just switched to eos chapsticks- it’s like my lips overtime did a 180, they’re soft, and rarely chapped. Now I bring it wherever I go but don’t have to apply it near as much as the neosporin one. I still have some scars but they’re finally getting a chance to heal! Suddenly my lip gloss was more drying so I switched to tinted balms.
    In the end, different products can irritate different people’s lips- so try some new ones out if you’re not satisfied with your current product. And if you still can’t find one that works well, start with basic ingredients and making your own- Vaseline, coconut oil, beeswax, etc- look up diy ones and just try each of the common base ingredients to see what works- personally I know beeswax actually irritates my lips now while Vaseline and coconut oil work wonders for me. Besides the raw products are often much cheaper than the processed chapsticks- and work find just by themselves while having other functions. :)

    • @catherineb6889
      @catherineb6889 2 роки тому +1

      Yeah, similar thing happened to me. I used to get rashes and my derm recommend carmex for them since they were around my lips. Over time my rashes stopped appearing but my lips started feeling very dry. I switched to vaseline and my lips have never been better.

    • @tiffariff
      @tiffariff 2 роки тому +1

      @@catherineb6889 it’s funny. Because you think about history and how humans didn’t really need much to keep their lips from cracking. But yet so many of us struggle with it in the modern day. Products that irritate over time sell more because they make you think you just need more. Going back to the basics is sometimes the best option.

      You might try Melixir in Autumn Rain (I get mine from Amazon - not sure where else they’re sold). It’s a lipstick style tube and the color and texture are fantastic. It’s also Vegan which is nice.

    very helpful! lip products are probably the hardest for me to match to my skin and lip type right there with foundation, i have lips that are super prone to dryness so I'm looking for a lip balm that would be the most moisturizing and hydrating but still some color, out of this list what would you say is the most "clinical" in terms of the revitalizing and hydrating effects?

    • @haotruonggg
      @haotruonggg  2 роки тому +1

      I would say the dior and honest beauty one feel the most clinical to me! The hydrating feeling doesn’t last as long with the other ones.

    • @rappersorbee
      @rappersorbee 2 роки тому

      @@haotruonggg oh thank you for this! i was leaning towards the dior the most especially cause they have the rosewood color that looks beautiful, other ones i was considering was the Nars, Fenty and the ones that have hyaluronic acid, so the Charlotte tilbury and Terry, still gonna have to look into it but might just go with Dior for this one, in any case thank u and i guess if u get the chance the review or use the ones i mentioned that aren't in the video then i would love to hear what you think

    You should do an all natural video of the best natural enhancing beauty like oils and moisturizers because I do no make up more than make up. I don't want my physical features to define me. I prefer that to be my mind and compassion and abilities. I challenge everyone to stand in front of the mirror and look at yourself for a second or two. Then close your eyes. What you feel and think about yourself looking vs not looking is such a contrast it's mind-blowing. All the societal pressures to look a certain way melt into the distance. For me fake eyelashes are a pain and theres to many steps added to make up routines in the last 5 years that wastes precious time because the clock doesn't keep ticking forever so go live and enjoy your lives peeps. A good tinted face lotion add almond oil. Rosy Vaseline add almond oil on lips, cheeks, eyelids, brown bones, lashes and eye brows. Easy oil spray on hair and call it. Clothes are bought for comfort above style. If it's cute it'd better be comfortable! I can afford to buy better quality because I'm so selective. Fake eyelashes are pretty but so annoying to put on I've only put in the effort once 😅. Don't stress about your hair lady because your awesome just the way you are! In Cali in the 90s when plastic surgery was becoming popular they were worried ppl would start having body dismorphia. I can't find the commercials on youtube that had normal ppl saying I was born in this body for a reason so I don't feel I have to change my physical appearance to what society says it should look like. Where are those ads that made me so confident in who I am? Your body is a temple!
