I've had really bad chilblain (especially on toes) for about 9 years now. Yes we need to massage the area, but the massage needs to be regular and frequent. This year my husband bought me a foot massager machine. I use it as much as I can (usually 15-30 minutes a day) and chilblain has all gone. Its surprising no doctor / podiatrist ever told me to try a massager. All they said was 'can't be cured, you have to manage it by keeping your feet warm' - If you suffer from chilblain, do try using a massager regularly. Its worth the money, and you may not have to suffer anymore. I also use the massager for my fingers and that has prevented chilblains from appearing on my fingers too.

@@chullum this is why i barely take showers in the winter bc I have noticed this problem but hard to get in a cold shower when you are already cold :/ also sucks for hands for people who work in a kitchen like me there are many times where you might go from extreme cold to hot... gotta remember to let the tap run after other people use the sink!

I have read about potatoes elsewhere as well and I did try it without salt and it helped to ease the itching on toes. I basically cut a piece of potato and rubbed it on the affected toes for a few mins and then repeated again. It seemed to help with the itching.

Interesting... Should have looked at this sooner since I have these things at work. Not sure I'd want to use lemon juice though bc my skin is sensitive to the acid and it dries me out too much. I imagine salt would also have a drying effect... Red onions are kinda rough on my stomach but haven't noticed them causing skin irritation just smell.

Never used to get chilblains up to the last couple of years(just poor blood circulation in extremities)but can’t stand the intense itching in both toes and now fingers.

I believe the salt can help improve the circulation, but it needs to be a natural salt like Himalayan or Dead sea salt with natural minerals. Table salt will not help it is the 'fast food of salt' with all it natural minerals stripped out.

It’s only heat that causes the problem. Cold water makes it disappear. Will try these methods.
Soaking my feet in 1.5 gallons of hot water with 1/4 of bleach seems to help but doesn’t make it go away.

    Guysss
I got a simplest solution that🥳 actually worked for my toes
I literally crying..becz i have exams and i cannot even sit becz of that itching ..super crazy itching bro😭
Take a big bowl or tub ...put hot water..(more warmer) it in ..mix half tablespoon of salt
And dip your feet in that tub ..make sure you first dip .the back part of your feet..then slowly dip your toes..for 15min to 20min ..
After that take out your feet out of that water and ..just press (do not rub)..towel around your feet ... donot rub towel at toes..
    Wait 2 3 min and
Wear socks (only one pair) 😅
Make sure socks should not be too tight ..
Do this 2 times a day..
    For about 2-4 days ...
And see results..mine was ok..this is my first day of doing this ..but seriously the releif i got is worth it in this super chilled winter 🥲👍
    Bye
