Burns:
• A burn is caused by accidently coming in contact with:
o Fire
o Hot fluids
o Chemicals
• It's one of the most common forms of injuries
Symptoms to look for:
• Burns are divided into 3 categories:
• First degree burns:
o Minor skin inflammation
o Redness of skin
o Swelling
o Tender skin
• Second degree burns:
o They go deeper in the skin
o Blisters
o Pain and inflammation
• Third degree burns:
o They are the most severe
o They destroy the affected skin area
Natural home remedy using aloe vera:
1. De-thorn and remove the outer skin of an aloe vera leaf
2. Extract aloe vera gel from inside
3. Apply aloe vera gel on the affected area
4. Leave it for 30 min
5. Repeat twice a day
Natural home remedy using egg white:
1. Take 1 egg white
2. Apply it on the affected area
3. Wash after 10 min
Natural home remedy using turmeric powder and mustard oil:
1. Take 1 tsp turmeric powder
2. Add 1 tbsp mustard oil
3. Mix well
4. Apply on the burn
5. Leave it for 30 min
6. Do this twice a day
Tips:
• Immediately reduce the temperature of the skin by putting chilled water on it. Do not apply ice directly on the skin
• Only first degree burns should be treated at home
• If rose water is easily available, wash the affected area with it

I grew up with giant Aloe Vera plants in my yard. Any time my brothers or I received a minor burn, cut, or scrape, my mother would have us break off a small piece of Aloe and rub the open end over the abrasion.
I always thought the healing powers of Aloe were an old wive's tale, but never resisted, since the sensation of a cool gel on a wound is soothing by itself. It wasn't until after I moved out and started using products like Neosporin or simple antiseptic, that I noticed the difference. With the Aloe Vera, cuts and burns healed many days earlier, which meant less scarring.
I've found another technique that works very well. You take a piece of Aloe Vera and, from the bottom, you cut a piece off that's roughly the length of your wound. Then, make an incision down the middle of that piece, from top to bottom, on the face that's inside its curve. Once done, you can easily unfold it into a patch that can be bandaged over the wound. You don't want to suffocate the healing process, so make sure to let it ain't out, but I promise this will severely diminish the pain.
It truly is an amazing plant, and I'm obviously not pushing any product when I say that. The raw plant works much better than any product that claims Aloe Vera as a top ingredient.

I can attest to this because I was severely burned with hot coolant. The Aloe vera gel alone did wonders and my skin has healed with no visible scars

Sister below both of my eyes in my face mango acid has dropped and it left 6 brown burns and after 1 week the affected skin part appeared pale than normal skin .Later 5 days Four of the scars had gone without leaving any mark but the two at two sides where the acid has dropped intense left brown marks but the skin has not damaged there even the small hairs at that place remain live .But it made my face look bad by being more brownish than my original face colour .Will it go? hi, I don't know if you have a tutorial on this but what happened was, I was cutting chilli and removing all the seeds, hours later, my hand still feels burned like from all the spiciness. it really hurts but I can't see anything on my skin, no changes in colour, it just feels burnt. can you please help me? thanks a lot

I did the same. Applied garlic on my face toget rid of the black dots/ moles. It left a scar. I applied neosporin till the skin felt open and tender. When it grew a new layer of skin on top i started using mederma. To get rid of scarring. the scar is gone now. Took 2 months cause I have picked on it and peeled the skin off myself. See if it works for you.

I didn't wash it for almost 2 weeks to dry it off early and since than I'm using Medorma Cream to lighter the scar....I still have scar which is little lighter now and I'm sure that eventually it will fed off.

yes i get rid of that mark and it took 5 month to completely get rid of it. after a week I used Medorma Cream and from 3rd-4th week I used to apply organic coconut oil. it helped a lot.

I also must add, I know they say to use it only on 1st degree burns. The reason they say this is not because it is always harmful on more serious injuries, but because they don't want to be liable when someone fails to seek necessary medical treatment because they were told they just needed Aloe.
I've used Aloe on every burn I've gotten, but knowing when professional medical care trumps home remedies is a matter of common sense. Basically, Aloe goes on a wound, not in it. If you have an injury, big or deep enough, that putting ANYTHING on it has the remotest chance of obstructing the healing process, keep it sterile and get to the ER!. You can use Aloe Vera later in the healing process, if your doctors condones.
