Soooo, I’m also a fine haired, low density, DIY microloc sista! I had 209 locs, that were a result of me combining about half of my head because I thought they were originally too small. Well low and behold, after posting a pic on a FB loc group, I was told by MANY people in the group that my locs were too big for my fine hair. So I took them all down one-by-one, and split them (ex: I would take down 3 locs and make them into 4 or 5). I’m hoping to at least have 300 locs, which gives me better scalp coverage. That may help you as well. Whatever you do, good luck on your journey!
I started my micro locs with two strand twist human hair extensions about two months ago on my low-density hair so understand the struggle. You definitely have a sub in me.
@@LariIRL omg I literally had to look back at my comments, so happy I found you! We’ll definitely be supporting each other through this journey. I know you mentioned you had Locs before, where they also micro Locs or traditional? If your looking for more content, this might be a good topic for a video, comparing your Loc journeys and determining which is best for your hair type. I know I would watch🥰
I understand the struggle. I have fine, low to medium density, and short hair and decided to get sisterlocks thinking it would help thicken my hair, which it has in the medium density spots but the low density spots won’t lock and fill in. Now I want extensions to help with the slippage in that area. Do you have a tutorial of how you put in the extensions?
Hey! Yes the low density life is a real struggle. Sorry to hear that your journey isn't going as planned. I need to replace some extensions here soon and maybe I'll film it. Thanks for talking the time to watch and comment.
@@LariIRL I washed and twisted my hair with no product a few days ago and I love the parts and size better than when I've sat down and said I'm doing it with locs in mind. I guess it was just less pressure so I'm thinking to leave them in permanently 😬.. wish me luck 💕
Have a nice day, This is Lily from EXYHAIR. We love your channel and would love to Have you helped us share some of our hair on your channel! Would you like to try our hair?
My hair is like yours, but mines is thickening up because wash them let them dry naturally, let the roots get kinky, plait the locs together at night laying them flat, I let the ends curl and when oil my scalp I use a very soft brush hold my hair at the roots protecting that part and brush the middle strains the opposite direction, all these practices makes my hair grow and look fuller.

The low density struggle is real! It took me a while to admit it to myself.
Thanks for watching, where can I follow your journey?
You're beautiful and your hair is too. Keep growing your love. ❤🥰
Thanks so much 😍

@@areid___ my first set of locs were traditional, then two sets of traditional loc extensions, now these. Happy I found you too!
The hair is measured stretch so 12 inches ends up shrinking when it has its curl.
Your locs look good.
Yep that's the expectation, some were six inches stretched, and some were eight. But it wasn't hard to work with or anything. Thanks for watching.
