Swear I’m on YT every week looking for new ways to attach extensions and this by far is my favorite. When i was locd in i abided my interlocking. Since cutting my locs I’ve been so impatient with the growing process and wasn’t too keen on the thought of having my natural hair jabbed with a crochet needle to add extensions. Im in love with this ❤️
@@vanessajohn7918 I used this method to install my own. On the locs that I had to redo I did find that it can be undone but it took ALOT of patience. Will say though, far less breakage uninstalling these vs the typical crochet method.
New subbie!!!! You are truly gifted. I've tired with the thought of locs for 2 years not wanting to go through the " ugly stage". I keep my hair in protective styles (mainly faux locs) more often than not. You are truly gifted. Thank you for a new skill🥰
Between this video and the one showing how to make these extensions, I done seen all I needed to see. I’m gone go ahead and add some length to my micro locsss! Thank ya ❤
I followed your last video and made my micro locs I am so glad you made this because so many people don’t explain the process, now I know how I can attach the hair. This is greatly appreciated 🙏🏽
Omg! Listen you have just save me. I recently got Loc extensions done. Didn’t like them like I thought I would and I took them out. Now… I’ve had micro locs in the past and I realized that I prefer that look but I didn’t want to start short. I recently purchased bulk hair to create micolocs so I’m going to try your micro Loc creation method and the attachment method. I’m excited now!! So glad I can across your helpful videos!
I’ve been wanting to loc my hair for years now, have just been doing some research. And I couldn’t find the best installation for my type of hair. And I love how informative you are. And was curious as to which type of install method would work on my hair type? It’s curly. I’m Hispanic.
Girrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl!!!! Thank you. I tried 7 ENTIRE TIMES with loc installation but couldn't get past a year and a half because my hair was looking crazy and I've though about doing my own exstensions before BUT I'm no good with a crochet hook. I recently permed my beautiful natural hair mainly out of loc frustration and I've been thinking about how to extend my own locs...this is RIGHT UP MY ALLEY!!!!!! I'm growing out my natural hair....thank you!!!!
Have you considered back combing the natural hair to create bulk? Just where the extension will connect? I do love her hair. It is beautiful and you did beautiful work.
Hey I just wanted you to know spreading knowledge, try using yarn needles. I like the plastic ones cause it’s flexible and I was able to touch my scalp , it tight but it doesn’t hurt! Also I feel a major difference with doing the hair! It kind of flies by! I used to use the same tool as you in this videos, (a rose gold gal ✨) big difference! I hope this was helpful! Also maybe get a looping tool too! Cause sometimes it’s hard to push the hair through sometimes!
Girl this method is amazing!! I’m going to try this this weekend with some premade locs from Amazon! Wish me luck 😬 Since this method seems less straining on your hands and fingers will you start doing extensions again?
I wish I'd seen this when I put my extensions in the first time😩 I was tryna think of 100 different ways to do it the second time and gave up. Now I find you on here and you made them AND installed them by interlocking 🤯 now my hair is relaxed 🤦🏽♀️ will this still work on relaxed hair?
it looks wonderful i have sisterlocs n this is great work but your nails looks so healthy n clean im a nail woman 😂 i pay attention to ppl n their nails when they are doing others hair
Thank you for this video. If you already have microlocs and want to extend, please how do you attach the extensions onto the hair? Would it be to attach it close to the end and interlock? Or would method 2 be better and then wrap the hair? They are 2 year mature microlocs. Please help.
Attached to the ends of the hair can work if the ends are still loose but with mature locs method number 2 will be better unless you comb out about an inch of your locs 💕
It could! You have to braid down your natural hair then you can crochet the extensions ends at the root, then interlock the rest of the way. I may have more recent videos explaining
Thank you for sharing this! Can you please show us how to attach Afro kinky bulk hair to loose natural hair and form it into an instant loc?? Lol I hope that made sense!
This was a good video. Question: if I wanted to keep these in for a shorter period of time, and I have kinkier hair, would you recommend the second method minus the interlocking of my real hair?
Very nice! Do you work with only the afro kinky hair? I'm in the market for some lisa bonet boho perm. extensions but most stylists only use the Kinky hair
Is there a reason why you choose not to braid the extension closer to the scalp and then do 2-3 interlocks to tighten the roots? Thanks in advance and I’m looking forward to ordering locs from you! ❤️
Hey! I do suggest that for looser curl patterns but the blend is better closer towards the ends of the hair since the extensions is tightly interlocked already. Like you can’t use a crochet needle to mesh the hair together. Hope that makes sense
I was working on my own hair and doing micros, but my husband was diagnosed and I took them out. I had a young lady do my hair and she “said” they would be micros. The parts are beautiful!! I asked her to add spring twist hair to it to give it a little length. She gave me a cute style, but these are simply spring twist and in no way are they micros. They are also slipping after two weeks. Can I divide these at the parts and do the micros? I had been doing the interlocking method prior to taking them down and having this young lady do them
Because they are both interlocked, there’s a smooth transition into the extensions. Both her hair and the extensions will mature and look like naturally grown locs
Quick question: is there any reason why you use a 2 point rotation versus a 3 or 4? I'm always curious as to which rotation is best...does it depend on hair texture maybe?
@@LeyLocs Thank you. Sorry for all the questions. Lost my locs due to chemo. Trying to get my look back with no professional help (except asking questions).
