How to Trap Beavers Under the Ice

Beaver meat is one of the most important tools in a trapper's toolbox, but it can be difficult to catch beavers once winter has set in. The Backwoods Boys have spent a lot of years learning from old timers and their own mistakes, and are excited to offer a step-by-step tutorial for under the ice beaver trapping. Key steps include: determining if a beaver house is "live" or "active", choosing between baited free hanging traps or entrance sets, finding the entrance and properly positioning the trap, not falling through holes in the ice, and many more. I be we managed to get much in a 330. I did better with lag holds last year. I got 2 in 330s in in a snare and 6 in # 4 jump traps. I'm going to try your free hanger set this year I've never seen that befor.

These pests also lowered the water level in my pond but by digging dozens of holes and bank runs in the pond dams. That means war, I have to eradicate these nuisance critters. But they avoid all my traps so far. Conibears and snares either
