How Beavers Survive Under The Ice In The Winter (Best Example I Have Seen)

- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

I learned a few things from this video.
1. Beavers eat tree bark.
2. Beavers have huge reserve of trees to eat next to their lodge.
3. Logging company encourages people to use roads to keep them open.
4. That big pond was created by beaver dam.
I would've driven past all that without knowing any of that. Fascinating.
Now I know about beavers
Also lets not forgot, one person has managed to die to a beaver.
Thanks for making all of us feel a little bit smarter!
I appreciate your historical observations from when you were a kid. It really adds a lot of cool context. Cheers!

This is the most informative video about beaver lives that I've ever seen. Thank you!
I recommend a book called "Eager" by Ben Goldfarb about the huge impact beavers have on the environment and how their removal to make hats for Europe in past centuries had terrible consequences. I'll never think of beavers the same.
Thank you, much appreciated. For me, it was really interesting to watch, cos it in some way reminds me of my own childhood in a belorussian village.
That muddy forest road, that swamps and trees, that beaver stories are bringing back so much good memories… It’s striking to see how much image resemblances are there with those from my native land, Belarus. Say what you want, but northern nature has its undeniable charm and beauty.
Did you know beavers can hold their breath for up to 15 minutes underwater? Also that they have transparent eyelids and can see underwater.
Did you know that if you cram mice up your asshole people are less likely to invite you to their cookouts ?
Hi Post! Beavers are survivalist for sure. Crazy Beavers!
I love ❤️ hearing your historical commentary! And, I especially get a chuckle out of your saying “back when i was a boy” - because Omg you’re still young!! 20, 21?! So that “way back when” time wasn’t all that long ago, Post! LMAO 🤣
Great video Post, my 9 year old daughter and I love learning about the animals and wildlife!
I'll never grow tired of the war between Post10 and the beavers.
Man you're so cool. This channel just chills me out
My husband and I saw a beaver house many years ago in the Huron National Forest near Glennie, Michigan. One of the Forest Service Workers we ran into explained the beavers and their behavior. What resilient creatures! Lots of blueberries back in there when in season!😊💯💢
Your hair grew back already! Love your videos. 🇨🇦 ❤
I LOVE when you give information. I have learned so much and I am always repeating to my family. You are my "go to" culvert guy. I prefer your videos to any of the others. Thank you.
Literally obsessed with your content 😁
Thank you young man. You will be a great dad.
Thanks for the beavercation!
What a great video! I’m going to send this to my son to share with my two grandkids. Thank you Post.
I’m looking forward to seeing their methods for winter.
absolutely love your descriptions. I would love see some beavers at work. thank you xxxx
The unique stack of wood has flat cut ends. It is likely someone spilled it from a damaged sled while hauling it over the ice. The area likely includes a place for domestic harvesting. Alternately, it could have been the beginnings of a corduroy trail over the flooded sections of the road.
Any chance of you coming back when it's frozen so we can see what it look like in the winder
Thank you for today’s tour. Always a pleasure to see. Thanks 10! 😊

Thank you for the insightful teaching about Beavers and the way they live and work.
Which animals predate on the beavers? Realise this may be a silly question but living in NZ I'm not familiar with your fauna.
Loved your explanation!
Coyotes, foxes, bears...also hawks, and great-horned owls.
@@azimuth4850 thank you!
Good question, I was wondering too, beavers are pretty big, and they attack.
@@azimuth4850plus lynx and bobcats.
Excellent

You are one of the good guys who inspires others.
Always education of how the beavers are working and building. I love your educational theme on the channel. We also have beavers here in Sweden but not so much beaver dams that you have, just smaller in the creaks and they are not so much problem here. Up further north in Sweden they have more of the dams that you show but down her we have not that type of dams. // Love from Sweden // Micke
Love your videos from finland 😊

Pretty informative and love your accent! G’day from Australia.
It would be cool to have an underwater trail cam to watch their behavior.
Very interesting
Gosh, I really like beavers.
Interesting. I never knew any of that about beavers. They're pretty smart and organized!
FASCINATING !!! 🎉🎉🎉
Nice👍
Beavers are awesome animals, so important to the ecosystem too!
Hope they can re-grade and put in a proper culvert.
Doesn't matter how big the pipe or even a bridge. They will clog it and have to be removed
I love these videos too, but I'll be glad when you clear some flooded streets again to keep cars and people safe. Those are the best IMO. I still watch the old re-runs. Thx for all of them.
That will likely never happen again I already fixed it
@@post.10I love to see you camp and cook in your van. Spaghetti, potatoes, mushrooms, steak, fried zucchini? We always learn from you. Greetings from Delaware.
You have the best videos ever !!❤😂😂
