We don't take the safety off until we are done making the set. I've left it on a few times when moving too fast, and it's always disappointing!
How old do you think that beaver is?
So I have a question I water that is not clear like yours is and deep out of lodge with lots of weeds. My problem is I can't see the trap to get the swivel stick in let alone keep the trap shallow.
Any suggestions?
This is a common problem on peat bottom ponds. I often struggle in these locations to get my set in front of them. I have heard of people using glow sticks on the trigger to catch the beavers attention. Have not tried it myself but plan too soon.
