Thank you for reacting to this band. Just fyi: many of The Warning Army follow and support the SIXTERS. The Waring are the SIXTERS idols.
I wish there really was some real support from TWA. There are thousands if TWA, but these ladies only have a little over 4,000 subscribers, and 130 Patreons (not all of those paying). It's so easy to show some support, and I'm not seeing it.
Sorry to disagree here but they have never mentioned the Warnning being there IDOL. Or even been a influence. They respect them , as they do all musicians, but have nothing to do with them

Absolutely Not they are Not warning influenced in any manner. They like Blink182,Green Day. Katya ‘s drum covers were Ukrainian (like the Mad Heads which she sat in a few times with) RHCP, Chicago, Toxicity by SOAD, her HLAG (which she won in the 18 & under class at 9yrs. old) Entry was Breed by Nirvana. maybe she’ll grow up and get a big girl set someday. LOL

Currently 5 piece. Started as six (sixsters). One member had to return to Ukraine.
This is filmed in a hallway outside their practice space.

This band was formed in 2018. The drummer is the founding & only original member left. The newest member is the keyboardist. She replaced the last original (besides the drummer) member of the six members who started the band.
There's no sisters in the band. But they're sisters in the band. There are currently 5 members in the band. Guess they're leaving one spot open for a "sister" to return when the conflict is over.
They release only original songs. During one of their Q&A livestreams. I asked through live chat if they do covers. Lead singer said *"why should I sing someone elses songs when I can my own".* But she did say they play covers during rehearsals.
Love that you guys found Sixters. Like others have said, there is a decent The Warning Army presence/support with them. This has a great punky-rocky vibe to it. I love that the keyboard player is going back and forth between synth and roland/hammond sounds.
I really am convinced the the future of rock is female. That future has space for The Warning, Sixters, Plush and many many others. I keep saying that if the future of rock sounds like these bands, I am all in. I am also fully into supporting those who make good music when things are falling down around them.
Unfortunately, not many of TWA are showing support for these girls. The Sixsters only have a bit over 4,000 subscribers and only about 130 Patreons, and not all of them pay. This is ridiculous !
I hope more TWA show their support. It's so easy to like and subscribe. I'm not sure why there aren't more subscribers, their videos have tens of thousands of views, and even 100,000 for two of those.
The Sixsters, one of the best kept secrets from reactors, hopefully that will change this year. I love their music, they are so diverse, different sounds with each song.
A little history, when Kate the drummer was 2, she was banging everything, so her dad bought her a drum kit, by 6 she had her own UA-cam channel playing covers, by 8 she wanted to be in band but there were no young girls in her area who she could play with, so her dad advertised for musical girls and in 2018, The Sixsters were born.
The vocalist changed in 2019, then thy were fairly stable with Kate (drums), Taya and Kira P. (bass), Maya (keyboards), Alona and Ira (guitars) and Kira K. (vocals), they had a second backing vocalist at one point as well. Early 2021, Alona left and Maria joined as rhythm guitarist, her first video was Fever, and this was the first Sixsters song in English. By the end of summer in 2021, Ira left and Anna joined as lead guitar.
They have a great quality live concert from November 2021 with Kate, Taya and Kira P. playing half each, Maya, Maria, Anna and KIra K. They were supposed to support a big Ukrainian Rock band on a Stadium tour the following summer but Ukraine was invaded in Feb 2022 and the girls split up across Europe.
Five months after the war started, Kate, Kira P., Maya, Anna and Maria met in Essen and they created two videos after that Happiness and Hold, with Maria taking over vocals. Kira P's family then returned to Ukraine, so they brought Polina in to replace her on bass. They recorded more music and played at Glastonbury and Bush Hall (same place The Warning played) in 2023, then in September Maya's family returned to Ukraine and Sofia was brought in to replace her. Polina and Sofia are Ukrainian refugees too. They have said they are holding a place for Kira P. to return as rhythm guitar.
They have 3 albums of original music, the first all Ukrainian, the others mainly English. I've loved everything I've heard, regardless the language.

These girls can play ballads, grunge, rock, punk & alternative rock. You never know what you're going to get. To me. This band is up there with The Warning.
This is a great and fun rockband that deserves much more attention, i love them ❤

I'm familiar with The Sixters but this song is new to me. If you want another great Ukraine band check out Noapology- Deadhearted. Straight rock with Daria on lead vocals, she is a powerful singer. Highly recommend.

I have many comments just get up to speed with this band. When you mentioned how you cant imagine what they have been through, a small example, in the second week of the invasion the drummers house got blown up while mom, dad , the three girls, cat and dog were huddle in the cellar. just a month ago the bass player moved back to Ukraine just to have to spend her first night in a bomb shelter while her grandmothers apartment building got bombed . musically all there songs a very different and every member leaves room for others to shine , this song was not Katyas time to shine. She has been drumming since she was 2 years old and got her first and only et of drums ( not the ones on the video)when she was 4. They are just about to celebrate there sixth year but I have been supporting Katya for 10 years now. Looking forward to your next reactions

I like your reaction, but the jury is still out on the band. The song was good, but the video was too much "creepy" for me; it might be ok after I've seen a few more from them, maybe some concert footage. I'll be on the lookout for another couple of vids from them, but this didn't put them on my "OMG" list.
Part of why I like this band so much is that each song is unique. They don't have any other creepy songs, the others sound and look like a completely different band. Fever is a banger; "For Me, For You: starts out as a ballad and rocks out at the end.
OK, after watching a few other vids from them this morning, I get it. The jury has returned, and I like it. Subbed their channel and will be watching and listening to them. @@DanL---2024
@@joeturner1181 They have no budget for video's so they make best use of what they got, hence the hallway, didn't cost too much to make. They have a VLOG of them making this video on their channel, it shows Maria moving and singing in slow motion which is sped up for the creepy effect :). She says she had that wig for a year and this was the first time she wore it, judging by how itchy she found it, don't think she'll wear it again, the jumper she's wearing she picked up from a charity shop that morning.
They try to be very creative with their videos but as they have no label and refugees in a foreign land, they just do the best they can.
@joeturner1181 I'm glad you gave them a listen, and for your support--I felt the same way about The Warning when they weren't as well-known. I think if they can survive the chaos of the war and being refugees in Germany, there will be some great music from The Sixsters, in addition to the great songs they've already put out.

The drummer Kateryna Kuziakina started the band she had won a lot of drumming competitions at a young age and wanted to start a all girl band. link to Wikipedia page (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sixsters) I think she is the only original member but always seems to find young ladies just as good there being ousted from Ukraine did most of the damage, there music and video's are very diverse and well written or done and mostly by them and there crew Much like the Warning !!!!!!!!
