The Sixsters have been around for a long time. Its heartbreaking that so many lineup changes have occured in the band over the years. Katya Drummer is now the only original member. Having said that....The Sixsters are more powerful than ever. World class. Genius. Relentless. Deserve world renown.
Have been following them from way back after seeing some of Katya's drum video's there very young and have went thru quite a few line up changes especially since Ukraine war started drummer lost there family home (bombed) most of them relocated to Germany but they're very creative every song was different they have sort of settled on this rock/punk sound mostly but they'll throw in a curve ball but excellent musicians and creative video's on a budget, the singer started as the guitar player and still does sometimes. Hope people will support them they could really use it they have finally gotten a little sponsorship which they could open for the "Warning" on there upcoming European tour these 2 bands could really blow the roof off some places !!!!!
I discovered this band just yesterday, and I am obsessed. I saw this video first and started digging into their past work. So much of their story mirrors that of The Warning. I used to lament the lack of good new music, but no more. What a great time to be alive with so many great up-and-coming bands. Thanks for the reaction and for promoting these groups. Cheers!
Drummer Kate (Katya) Kuziakina started the band in 2018 (her old u tube channel is still working she started doing covers @6 was on hit like a girl @10) Maria is lead singer and rhythm &lead guitar,Anna is lead guitar, Polina is bass, Sophie is keyboards. They are now endorsers on Fame guitars & drums page.They are currently in Esson Germany for obvious reasons. They have a new album coming out this month.
I don't know why, but i have been resisting the urge to explore this band. Glad i checked this out with you EC. I will explore away. Very unique sound.
I just found this behind the scenes video which is pretty cool. Apparently they filmed this at half speed to get that glitchy effect. It really starts to show the personalities of the band. I heard of them from The Warning Army and listened to them for the first time yesterday I was floored and completely fell for them immediately. Each of their songs is completely unique, and I hope you will cover them some more, the world needs to know about this band! 😃 Fever is a banger that never lets up, and For us...for me starts out as a ballad and teases you until it rocks out at the end. Yes, listening to one song of this band doesn't even come close to understanding the wide range of genres they play. Each song is truly unique.
