I have been involved in hiring junior finance professionals, usually with master degrees. A common thing is the resume that looks like a wall of text. It needs to be to the point and easy to see why you are interesting for this position because I am not going to read the whole thing until you are selected for an interview. A wall of text also communicates you are out of touch with the time you live in and that can be understandable if you are 58 but not when you are 26.
Cover letters are hardly used anymore. Out of about a hundred applications there were two. Both just tried to explain how their resume matches the job and that I already checked before reading the letter. The thing to do in a cover letter is explain why you think this job will be fun. Yes, fun. Not why you would be good at it but why you would enjoy it. The other thing is explain what kind of person you are and how you work with others. Would you fit in the team? But you don't know anything about the team so here you need to decide what in your environment you find is important to be successful. So if you write one, don't focus on your resume.
Especially for starters the technical side is usually covered by your degree and some (or no) experience. Your attitude and personally are the things that are going to make it work or not and it is a lot easier to be positive doing something you like. This is also relevant for the interviews. My number one interview question is 'what gives you energy, what do you like, what makes you happy?' in work context of course.

@@theselfishcodependent You must not have fear of heights and use to work 10 to 12 hours a day, especially if you work abroad, but this wont help to find some colleagues i guess 🙈🙈😆
