Error Code C1 indicates the machine’s temperature sensor is defective.
The following are some of the common causes of the error code:
• The wiring connection to the sensor is loose.
• There is debris interfering with the machine’s wiring.
Now, let’s look at the best solutions to fix the error code C1:
Check the Instant Pot’s Wiring
• Turn the Instant Pot off and unplug it.
• Take out the lid and the pot from the device.
• Flip the machine upside down.
• Extract the bottom cover by taking out the screws.
• Flip the plastic cover and remove it to expose the Instant Pot’s circuit and wires beneath it.
• Look for the temperature sensor right in the middle of the circuit.
• Inspect the condition of the sensor’s wires. If they are damaged, consider replacing them.
• Also, check whether all the wires are securely connected. If not, ensure they are properly connected.
• Reassemble the Instant Pot and power it back on to see if the error code persists.
Clean the Instant Pot’s Circuit Board
• Follow the same steps we just listed to disassemble the Instant Pot and reveal the wires underneath it.
• Disconnect the wires from the circuit board.
• Use a cloth to clean out any food spills obstructing the wires.
• Use a clean cloth to clean the inside of the device.
• Let the machine dry naturally overnight. You can dry it faster using a blow dryer.
• Reassemble the Instant Pot and power it back on.
