BEST and Easiest DIY Fly Rod Car Top Rack Carrier | CHEAP

Here is my first attempt at a car top rod carrier 🚗 that can mount to any truck or SUV. I wanted to be able to have my 10ft fly rods fit in pre rigged for hopping from one location to another. i thibk the mechanism worked well! Next video, we will mount the PVC rig to the car and try it out!

Use rivets on lock no need to cut screws and smooth as can be😉

How the check did you get the pop insulation down the PVC? Mine slides jn about a foot and then is too tight to move on

I was having the same issue. I trimmed it to make it slimmer, first ensuring my rod would fit, then used hockey tape to close it up. That made it thin enough to slide in.
