Weird is beautiful. Who wants to be 'normal'? Not me. Love the door/mirror
Lol, right on!! I'm glad you like it!
Wow! I learned SO much from you in this video! Thank you!!!
Thank you for sharing your skills with the world!!
I was looking for ideas how to put a rock chimney on a small wooden bird/fairy house and found YOU! Now I'm all excited about clay. I haven't worked with it since my kids were in grade school 40 yrs ago. I'm going to start by watching how to use it. Love UA-cam for finding wonderful people like you to follow and learn from.👼💕
Wow, thank you Claudia!! I'm glad to share the joy of crafting with you!!
Nice hinge lesson! love the door decorations too!
This is so cute! There is a huge oak outside my door with a hole at the base. I have wanted to put a tiny door over the hole, a tiny window beside it, and a tiny mailbox beside it for years and years! Now I know how to do it! Thank you Yvonne!
Two minutes and fifteen seconds in and I'm already planning my order of sculpey...I've never used polymer clay before but I want to. Actually I need to get stuff for enamelling even more but I really want to make little houses for in the garden and to decorate the real bird houses...I don't know what it is about you but I have already started about three other 'new' crafts in the time I've been watching you! I think you're casting some sort of elfin spell on everyone to make accommodation for fairies lol!
Love love this project. My first time watching... love it!
I love the way you are, how can someone be so adorable? :)
Your grime/wash/weathering technique really gives the piece a history. I'm going to try that. Thank you for the inspiration.
Great tutorial! Just the thing for my houses. Thanks for sharing.

I was freaking out a little when you covered the whole thing with black paint...but it turned out fantastic! 👍
You are THE BEST! Every attention to detail takes it to a higher level of authenticity!! I’m blown away! You’re absolutely beautiful and I love your voice. So glad I found you, bc I’m a “vintage” faerie lover from the 70’s. So applause to you!!🧚🏼♀️
I just love this. ..I used to love helping my kids with school projects and making little castles and things..one of the boys was into train sets and I used to get so into landscaping and building little houses and stations. I know if I'd had a girl I'd have been building a dolls house and all the furniture. ..I really want some clay lol!
Just love when you giggle. Just infectious love for what your doing. 🙂😀
Your tutorials are so detailed and helpful, thank you! Also, your craft area is gorgeous! So organised and all that natural light and plants.
Thank you, Ness! my craft area swings from extremes, lol, and right now it is extremely messy!!

😊 thank you
This is so stink'n cute, I'm definitely going to try to make a larger one for my tree out front!! Your hair looks so beautiful here as well! Talented, smart, and pretty...what a dangerous combination lol!! Xo~
this was really pretty! thanks for showing us how to do the hinges that way. so much easier than the way I do them. lol I usually do ONE hinge at a time and a lot smaller. :/ this, your way.... brilliant! lol
I love doing fairy stuff and just thought the other day of doing one that the door opens to show a pic of... whatever, kinda like a locket. this is really cool. I never think to do the acrylic wash. guess I'm scared it will mess up the pretty of the door. I usually add a bunch of flowers to it. I dunno. I guess i could always try. someone somewhere will probably like it even if I don't. 😉😜
Lovely.
its a cosmetic mirror, Love it
hehe, I'm gonna have to make one that is more regular compact size with a secure latch :-D

You are so sweet.....wonderful tutorial...may have to go out and buy some clay! Thank you.
hehe, thank you Marlene! polymer clay can be a bit addicting, so happy crafting! :-p
I was born in Aberdeen which is called 'the Granite City" or "the Silver City" due to the granite which the whole place is made of and built on...that's a nice clay effect x
another possibility for you to consider when teaching, do some evening classes at local libraries and schools. :)
Love it as normal......I have had a altoids tin settin here. Gee wonder what I gonna do with it now? lol Thanks for the inspiration!
Grrrreat tutorial ♡
You kept needing more moss....I kept thinking mas moss, in my not-even-close-to-bilingual brain. LOL.
Wow you have so many tools and colors of clay - and embellishments! I am only starting this and don't want to spend a lot of money - any suggestions? Your brilliant and waaay too hard on yourself!!
I like using the oil base stains specially for antiquing over acrylics. It seems it may be les work to get that same effect with less rubbing. It dries also to be able to put a matte spray sealer. I will say using acrylic paint watered down is cheaper with the same effect ..... so props for opening up that option for me. I like it!
BTW Your moss is awesome!
hehe, thanks!
Try some Claritin D for your allergies it works great for me takes a little while to kick in but nothing else worked for me. Great job on the door thanks for posting how you made it.
wonderful work fairy door or Alice in wonderlend ,you cnow have be children forever I suport you just do it and thank you for your caind and gently hart for sher I love your work you have great talent for art
The moss attachment reminded me of felting
Very nice..... Thank you so much my friend 🌹 🌹 🌹
:-D
Yvonne Williams 🌹🌹🌹
If you are going to antique the whole thing seems like putting the eye shadow on the step kind of negates it does putting the eye shadow on and then antiqueing it makes any kind of difference I guess is what I want to ask. Looks awesome as usual.
Bless you!! (as she sneezes lol) Goodness, where do you live!?! A trainyard?.. 🤔
Lovely project. Good job my youngest daughter hasn't seen this, she'd pester the life out of me to do something like it!! I'm a traditional artist, and even though my primaries are, watercolour, oils, and Graphite. I also do clay sculptures and creature dolls, which I love to do for relaxation.
Thanks for your wonderful tutorial, you have a new subby. Bevanna UK 😊
I'm redoing a farmhouse and I had to move the washer and dryer hookups from a bedroom. I decided to leave some of the hole foam sand and paint it for a secret hidey-hole but I would also like to put a fairy door over it so it opens should I use little hinges and make a frame just look at a real door and miniaturize it? I'm making it from wood.
I want to know how you drill dice and use them in jewelry
Hinge part starts around 24:30
How long did u bake it?? or did i miss that bit
weekend project!!! lol
Do you sell these? I really really need one!
Why did you use Sculpy liquid clay instead of Sculpy bake and bond, or did I see wrong lol ?
Hey, Lynn! I used liquid clay because that is what I have, but bake and bond would have worked just as well :)
i wonder if putting a piece of wax paper or tinfoil inbetween the door and mirror would work better?
Can you make gnomes? I would like to make very small gnomes about the size to fit your fairy house.
Put or needs some gem stones or pretty small flowers on it :)
I’m going to try this open door make but using paper clay instead of polymer clay
Sería BUENO. que tuvieras SUBTÍTULOS!!! EN ESPAÑOL
I wonder if it's possible to use real stones set in clay
Frieda Martin she has used gem stones and crystals set into the clay in the past and it looks really good!
How would you bake it?
