In today's video, I'm taking a closer look at Midoin, an app similar to Pi Network, Bee Network, Eagle Network, TimeStope, and so on... that allows you to "mine" their "cryptocurrency" called Midoin on your mobile phone by tapping a button or using a feature called "auto-miner".

Midoin was first published in 2018 and is, therefore, older than even Pi Network. However, even though Midoin is already on the market it never gained traction, and in almost 4 years there have been only 100,000+ app downloads on Android and likely much less on iOS.
While Midoin provides us with more information about the company behind the project compared to similar projects I reviewed in the past it misses crucial elements like a white-paper or any kind of explanation as to which and how a blockchain is used with Midoin.
The perhaps most interesting aspect of Midoin is that you can already transfer Midoin to other users and even use your Midoin on the in-app marketplace. And while the Midoin marketplace sounds like something amazing, upon closer inspection it becomes quite clear that it's simply a place full of scam offers of users that try to get a hold of your Midoin.
Which is a little bit ironic, considering that Midoin isn't a real cryptocurrency, and based on the progress, or more precisely the lack of progress, Midoin made in its almost 4 years on the market, I'm confident that Midoin will never become a cryptocurrency and likely never intended to become one in the first place.
Every additional piece of information I discover about Midoin, the Midoin app, and the Midoin cryptocurrency makes it more likely that the project simply was an attempt to profit of the hype surrounding other cryptocurrencies back in 2018 and that since then the greek company behind Midoin and the Midoin and has been generating at least some advertising revenue from users using the Midoin app.
In my opinion, Midoin is a huge waste of time, and personally, I'd recommend and ask everyone to go ahead and report the app in the Google Play and Apple App Store to hopefully get it removed from there.

To answer your question, since I didn't share my referral code on my "Spotter Network" review (which I also consider a scam) I've had to reply to "can't find your referral code" comments from people that are too lazy to actually watch the video. This way, I save time, and I also know based on "I used your code" comments who actually was too lazy to watch.

Super excited about Pi Network tho, maybe you have time for another Pi Video about wallet testing / node advantages later on / test blockchain / estimated price - I'd love it.
I wish, so many other projects to catch up on first. IMHO while the test wallets are a huge milestone I think the video at ua-cam.com/video/PekumsFGWuc/v-deo.html already answers most questions and makes it clear that Pi is legit and now all that's left is wait for phase three.

Which is a pity, because even if Midoin would never turn into a cryptocurrency if the in-app marketplace would be moderated and contain legit offers the "coin" would already have a value and purpose among its users.
But thankfully there are other projects out there that are real cryptocurrencies already like Phoneum, or those that are "work in progress" but at least provide more and more evidence to show that they will turn into real cryptocurrencies like Pi Network.
Even when I disable the auto miner I am not able to mine by tapping midoins. Why is that?
Maybe watch the video so you know why you IMHO shouldn't use the app at all.
Besides that, on iOS only autominer is available.

What's interesting is that not a single person ever mentiones the obvious, we all compare other apps with PI because PI advertised itself as the first digital coin available for mining on the phone, which is not a true statement since we can easily check this on the play store where we will see that Midoin released 6 months prior to PI, kinda making it the first one. I believe this is kinda important, although Midoin didn't gain the traction on PI, it was actually the first concept of his kind.
Considering my conclusion about Midoin in this video I'm not sure it matters... Unlike Midoin, Pi Network actually is about to become a real cryptocurrency and Midoin is simply a waste of people's time for ad revenue.

Pi advertised itself as being the first and they aren't, they gained traction that's what they did. But we don't need to reference a specific coin as whatever coin gains traction it becomes more credible. That's exactly what happened with Bitcoin, people were calling it scam and a waste of time in the beginning as well. Remember ?

I think, considering the low popularity of Midoin it's fair to assume that the Pi core team didn't know about the project and made their statement based on their knowledge at the time and what their research told them.
Should they change it now? I don't think so, because Pi is making progress and showing that they are actually on track to turn Pi into a real cryptocurrency, whereas Midoin hasn't made any progress in that direction in almost four years.
In the end, I also think that the results are what matters most. If we look at the main headline on the Pi Network website "The First Digital Currency You Can Mine On Your Phone
Start earning cryptocurrency today with our free, energy-light mobile app." which is a white lie IMHO because - as we now know there was/is another project that claimed to do the same first, and coins are not mined.
However, the alternative would read "A Digital Currency You Can Get Pre-Allocated By Using Our App" which would drive some people to look for what other apps there are and confuse the majority of users because they don't know what pre-allocation means.
So, while it would be great if every business would tell the truth 100% of the time, the reality is that nowadays using (slightly) misleading statements - like when somebody tells you "Pay for my course to learn how I made 6 figures in one month" but doesn't specifically mention that he's talking about revenue and not profit - and white lies is accepted and required behavior.
The goal is to get the user to join by creating curiosity and, hopefully, provide them with more details once they signed up.
Question on Pi Network. I know this video isn’t on it but I figured I would have a better chance at getting a response on the latest video.

damn thanks bro i am using timestope bee and pi rn i almost gave up on pi because of its value and slow but i look it up on google and it says it will go up in the future and bee to i think?
I like Pi and TimeStope moset among the "unfinished" projects based on the progress they made so far.
For Bee Network it's too early to tell if that project is 100% legit. Either they provide updates and new features that show real progress on their way to become a cryptocurrency or they won't... only time will tell, but until then I rather collect the coins as well.
Lol, in my oppinion even tho pi mining is slow, it has the biggest potential. The way bee network app works.. it's just simply said... pathetic and terrible, i had 10 refferals and 600 coins in bee and my account got bugged, it displayed that its not responding and i should try later for abouth 2 monts ( maybe it's still bugged, since i tried do reinstall it like 20 times). In addition, 9 out of 10 of my reffs got they accounts deleted and only one of my refferals kept his account, logic absolute zero. I wrote to them, they replied only one time, asking whats the problem about, after that... no reply whatsoever... i hardly doubt that theese guys can make a legite crypto when they simply failed fundamentally with their application. It is simply not serious.

When I don't put my invitation code there I have countless comments asking for one from people that don't bother to watch the video.
So, to save myself some time I put it there, because if people are too lazy to watch a few minutes or even just parts of the video to learn if the project is worth their time, I'm not going to allow them to waste my time with those comments.
To be fair, I wouldn't do that if the risk of using the app would be more than just losing a few seconds of your time.

Stoping is calculating/converting how much of your total time is already verified, since like in Pi only coins of verified users can be used.
So stoping then looks how many of your referrals are KYC verified, how much of your total time comes from them and gives you sTime which you can already transfer to other TimeStope users.
Bee network asks for the exact same permissions and u said it was MOST likely NOT a scam- I don't get it!!..I uninstalled both apps nonetheless
Obviously the permissions are just one among many red flags within Midoin, whereas Bee Network has a lot of positive aspects as well.

Besides that, just because there are already finished projects doesn't mean that it hurts to support projects in the making as well.

Staking is superior to mining at this point and people call staking a form of mining, what's your point? The term has taken a broader meaning now. It's more important to expose bum projects that don't have tokens, that's far more significant

Knowing that, should Pi be called on deception on that point? Further, doesn't this call into question the fundamental premise of Pi Network, which claims to be a "technological breakthrough" enabling Pi to be "mined" via mobile phone. If it cannot perform as claimed in their whitepaper, then it claims nothing more than any crypto currency in existence, except Pi doesn't even exist as a legitimate Crypto.

I dont think pi is a scam but bee and especially timestope is hella sketch
IMHO Bee Network is in such an early stage that it's too early to tell if it's legit or not, only time will tell.
TimeStope on the other hand is legit in my opinion. Not only is the company super transparent and responsive, they also made a ton of progress recently like adding KYC verification and their stoping feature + wallet that allows verified users to already use their sTime.

This so called Midoin is a complete garbage and ridiculous.
It's been almost 4 years now and still in 0 value.
It's not even a legal tender , nor a white paper.
Midoin has no future .
The developer never reply to our mail and clear our doubts and grievances.
The disturbition of Coin is a total joke. It does not distribute accordingly to our taps.

Midoin and Timestope are pure time waste apps.
I don't see how you can compare a clear scam with zero progress with a project that is transparent, has a huge team behind it, is responsive, and constantly makes progress.

Nothing changed since my original video. I'm still pressing their button once per day just in case they actually turn the project around but I don't really expect anything to happen here anymore.
Looks like the person behind it just enjoys some monthly revenue from ads and only publishes updates to the app when they are needed to keep it working.
