Idena Network is the first Proof-of-Person blockchain. Idena is based on democratic principles. Within Idena Network each mining node is linked to a unique cryptoidentity. In other words, each Idena crypto identity represents one single person with equal voting power and mining income.
Everyone can become an Idena validator no matter who they are and where they live and start mining Idena, by proving that you are a unique human being.
Unlike other projects, Idena accomplishes that without the need to disclose any of your personal data (no KYC).
Participants within Idena Network only need to participate in validation events during which they have to solve a series of flip-tests (CAPTCHAs).
Idena Network aims to become the next evolution of decentralized systems on the internet by introducing crypto identities.
Each crypto identity is semi-unique because each user is able to easily verify one Idena account, while some might be able to validate two during the Idena validation events.
Users within Idena Network receive validation rewards in the form of iDNA coins for each passed validation and for submitting flips to the network, which they then can exchange on, for example, the ProBit exchange.

Thanks although I wouldn't call the required steps the "lowest barrier". Plenty of users that are overwhelmed by those few steps needed to get started.
@@ChristianRauchenwald good point, but in my experience every other mining alternative to this would require 1) a giant financial stake for PoS or 2) significant hardware and energy expenditure
my grandma mines idena. my grandma would never be able to mine anything else! =)
your point is still valid, we have a bit of a ways to go to make this even simpler. at least just taking the validation test is as easy as 1) get invite 2) be online at 13:30 UTC 3) take the test. making flips/starting mining/inviting people is a bit more work indeed

@18:10 Nope, I didn't land on such screen, I guess we're not getting that "Connect to Idena node" screen because we're still candidates, I did use an invitation code from the get go and didn't receive any iDNA, but as you can see the bottom option says "Get free access (Only for candidates)", though it seems to be grayed out for you.
Yep, the "Get free access (Only for candidates)", is the equivalent of getting 1 or 2 free iDNA for the validation.
Validation will be 12th of August for me at 2pm UK time. I'm not at a PC online during the day so this will be difficult.
You can also use your phone to log in, but I get your point, it's the one reason why I believe that no matter how great the idea behind Idena is, it won't achieve a huge userbase, simply because it's hard to ensure one always has time at 1:30 UTC on the validation day.
@@ChristianRauchenwald when you login on mobile, check "Desktop site" option in your browser so you can pinch and zoom and see all app. Hopefully we'll get mobile optimised version soon. But for keyword checking in long session, landscape is a must.

Yes, I have the Idena desktop app (node) running 24/7 on the same PC that runs all the other apps I'm using like HoneyGain, PacketStream, IPRoyal, Mysterium, and Unmineable

You are right. And yes, I don't even know how often I started over recording this video simply because I made mistakes, the video got way too long, or because I noticed that the way I explain things is way too complicated. I'm also quite happy with the end result and think it covers everything important to get people started.

a few things:

The thing that's limited to one human being is "identity", which allows yo mine
1:44 you log in with you identity which has the same address as your wallet, however the identity and the wallet are two different concepts but share the same cryptographic info
3:06 Users validate identities, not wallets. i.e. You can have as many wallets as you want
3:48 Once smart contracts arrive you could then do level 2 custom time date validations. So you would just set the date and time of your own custom validation ceremony to a day other than the main one. This type of validated identity of course will not have as much power as a main (level 1), but I think that even this mechanism has many potentials
5:04 Each user has one identity and as many wallets they want
7:38 Yes, de jure one person validates one account, but some are good at it and can do two, or super mutants can maybe do 3, but this is not really idenas conceptual priority, the test is designed to determine if the user is a real human being or a bot.
10:13 If one of your flips gets reported you won't have to pay penalty and will not loose any coins that you already have, but will not get any rewards for the validation during which your flip was reported and disqualified .
10:42 Have you done the calculations to see if there will be any security issues if human identities don't make flips no more?
11:15 If your verified identity has a suspended status and you miss the next validation, your identity gets killed BY THE NETWORK i.e. "killed" is not a status, so you need to get an invite code again an start from candidate AND ! the coins that are in you "stake" section of your wallet are burnt, So IMPORTANT: If you have a verified identity and it's suspended and you're not sure if you will be able to attend the next validation, then you have the option to TERMINATE the identity and get the staked coins, but do have to start with the invitation again.

Regarding the multiple wallets, since your wallet(s) has to be linked to one identity that is IMHO just semantics.
I missed the part with the custom validation time, to be honest, and will read up on it, but at first glance that would mean that I could validate multiple level 2 identities + one or two level 1 identities (considering that it's possible to pass the short validation for two accounts in under two minutes). If level 2 identities also grant rewards for validation events this would defy the purpose of Idena or not?
While you are saying that this is not the conceptual priority it seems to me that it's an important core aspect. I wouldn't say that just "some are good at it" and can validate two, but actually believe that a sizeable number of users is able to validate at least two identities if they want to.
My bad about the "disqualified/reported flip" penalty.
I'm aware that "killed" is not a status but requires you to start over and believe that this aspect is actually clear based on the video. Apparently not...
Anyways, while, as mentioned, I disagree with a few points, I really appreciate that you took the time to point out the potential mistakes in the video. I'll make sure to cover them once I get around to record an Idena update video.

I have a simple question, which I do not understand from the app, is it working as a cloud mining service and I do not have to check what's doin until the next validation? Or does it have to run in the background 24/7?
No, the mining is only possible on the desktop app and works like other miners. But the earnings from validations don't require you to be online 24/7 but just during the validation event.
@@ChristianRauchenwald . When I click on mining on my desktop app. It wrote "Submit the form to start mining. Your node has to be online unless you deactivate your status ".
What do they mean with that?
@@PopsCrypto This means that you need to press button 'submit' in order to start your mining process. During this process you shouldn't get offline or switch off your computer for longer than half an hour. Otherwise you will get a penalty which results in mining without any reward for 8 hours. If you want to shut off your computer you need to stop mining manually first.
How much earn through only validation ?
How do I keep my node online as a validator of idena blockchain. Do I have to always be online?
No, but you have to disable mining before you go offline. If you go offline without doing that for more than one hour you'll be charged a mining penalty fee.

The mining aspect is NOT cloud mining but it also doesn't require a high end PC like BTC mining.
However, you already earn enough by only renting a shared node for 1 or 2 iDNA and participating in the validation events every couple of weeks.

No, failed today as well because it somehow only loaded the first flip out of 6 for me in the short session.
My wife passed her validation, although in the long session three flips didn't load at all for her.
Plenty others also reported having issues in our Discord community. Hopefully it works fine again during the next validation.

Also ich habe bei der heutigen Validation mitgemacht - und gerade mal 45ct umgerechnet erhalten. Wächst diese Summe noch von Mal zu mal oder ist der Wert von IDENA einfach so krass gesunken? weil das ist ja nicht nur um einiges von 54 Dollar entfernt, sondern sogar von deiner 6$ Untergrenze, die du genannt hattest...
Je länger du dabei bist desto mehr wird es. Bei deiner zweiten Validierung bekommst du auch iDNA für die Flips die du erstellt hast (sofern die den Regeln folgen und nicht von anderen als ungültig gemeldet werden) und später, sobald du Invitation Codes bekommst, bekommst du für jeden erfolgreichen Invite 100% der Rewards die der User auch bekommt für die ersten 3 Validierungen an denen er teilnimmt.

How about using fingerprint to ensure unique individual check?
Then your fingerprint data would be stored somewhere 😉 that would also be anything but anonymous.
What would prevent anyone from creating made up fingerprints from cokie dough or something like that? How unique fingerprint tells us that there is unique human behind it?

After 3rd validation it is cool as u can be having 2 or 3 nodes/wallets
So u can be earning 150$ per validation + mining, monthly it is 350$ at most
Not sure if you'll manage to pass the validation for three accounts. Two is IMHO possible, but three might be challenging.

You can skip that part. If you have a PC and are able to run the app all the time mining will get you a few extra iDNA but if you just focus on the validation events and inviting new users once you get invitation codes you'll actually make more than enough already.

If you have a computer that runs 24/7 than mining yourself is what I would do.

No, I didn't try it yet. But since iDNA are not BNB if at all I'd think that you have to use your Binance Smart Chanin address (BSC) within Guarda Wallet, but again, I didn't try it, so make sure to try a small amount first.

It says that the IDNA were sent, but instead of receiveing them on guarda wallet, it looks like they sent the coin to another wallet inside the IDNA blockchain with my address.. I honestly don't get it. How am I supposed to get those coins out?

Yes, since you can use the web app which runs in probably every browser.

I don't see a reason why you shouldn't be able to sign up, but sure compared to other projects it takes a bit more of effort to get started.
However, once you have your account it only takes 30 to 45 minutes every few weeks to earn a bunch of iDNA.
Brother, consider putting Portuguese subtitles on your videos.
If I'd speak Portuguese that would be an option, but I don't so it's unlikely to ever happen.

I'm very frustrated that I can't follow their content as I would like to because I don't understand much of English. In fact, here in Brazil almost no one speaks English. There are foreign channels that...

@@Patrick-qd1xz I'm still super positive about Pi, just feel like the recent changes/updates (test-wallet, hackathon,...) while important steps in the right direction weren't super relevant to talk about. IMHO the next really important steps/news are:
1. how the team plans to provide KYC verification to the millions of users that haven't had a chance yet
2. the mainnet launch and how Pi can be used initially other than between existing Pi users

To be fair, it looks like more effort than it actually is. Once you setup your Idena wallet it's pretty much 30 to max. 45 minutes every couple of weeks to receive real crypto that you can instantly exchange (or HODL if you believe in the project).

By now I have to say, yes, I agree. While it's a way to make crypto that one can sell instantly, the whole process is quite cumbersome and likely only worth it for people that live in low-income countries and always have the time to be present for the validation events.
