The thing that bugs me about being tall is that you're almost expected and pushed on by society to play basketball. Like depending on what family you're born into, being tall automatically means that you're going to be playing basketball. And those types of people raised with that mindset then proceed to ask me "do you play basketball." Where I then ask "Do you play basketball?" They say no, I say back to them "I don't either, that makes two of us. I'm tall, not a jock."

I can totally relate when she said ppl thought she wasnt disciplining her child. I have an 11yo with autism n intellectual deficiency disorder. His brain functions like a 3yo..a 3yo with autism at that!! So he has publc tantrums n meltdowns..he touches things in stores sometimes that hes not supposed to..he doesn't talk in full sentences n sometimes just points n makes noises..he has a hard time controlling the volume of his voice etc. He has absolutely no physical abnormalities so just looking at him you would never know anything is wrong with him. He looks like a "normal 11yo" Ive gotten the worst looks n comments in public n have gotten into verbal altercations with ppl bc they have made comments abt him or my parenting. The world is so harsh. This boy is a gem! He has the best personality n i hope he goes far in life. U are doing a great job mama. Sending tons of love❤❤

This is totally different. You're allowing your kid to be bad because he has autism comparing it to a 3 year old looking like a 10 year old. My brother has severe autism and gets disciplined and acts right. Don't make excuses. Be better.

That does not mean he is not being disaplined. 3 year olds are hard work anyway but autistic 3 year olds are probably even harder to deal with not to mention the fact that she has to deal with comments from uneducated people like yourself who think she just has a really badly behaved 11 year old. My son does NOT have any forms of gigantism, he just has really tall genes. I am 6’5” & dad is 6’2”. But my husband had an uncle that was 7’ tall. Our geneticist thinks Kota will be around 6’9-7’0 tall. He was a big baby too, born premature at 32 weeks & he was 6lbs 11oz & 19” long.
My son is the sweetest kid, he gets treated like a teenager all the time, and when we tell people that he is only 10, they think we are lying. We’ve even been asked for his birth certificate when we went into an amusement park.
It’s impossible for him to wear what other kids his age are wearing because he is sooo big. I worry about his shoe size getting too big too fast. He is already wearing a size 13 in men’s shoes. He also plays football & has a hard time being aggressive ❤

I was an extremely small baby being born in the UK premature at just over 6 months back in 1963 when my mother was dying due to her kidneys failing. I was induced not expected to survive, I was in an incubator for about 4 months but my mother being relieved of my body ensured her kidneys were able to work again. I was 3 lb and remained quite small being just over 5 ft at 15 years old. My shoe size was UK 12. I stopped growing at 19 when I reached 6 ft 4" with shoe size UK 14.
My father's brother all his family were over six foot
His daughter was 6 ft 1.
    His sons were 6ft 2", 6ft 4" and 6 ft 8"
Tallest in my class was a boy 6ft 9" at 17 years of age.

It just goes to show you.. it is not over until… it’s over. Starting earlier in life at such a light weight and exceeding at the outcome. A lot of premature babies tend to lean towards smaller in size along with on going issues as they age, according to medical information. Maybe your genes outweighed the results since you have a predisposed indication of taller heights in your family origin? Quite a feat… as long as people get to have a relatively healthy life - is all one can ask for. Glad that you mother and yourself defied the odds. 😊

What an awesomely confident kid. That said, I hope he can reach a healthier body weight, as it will prevent a lot of problems down the road. I really hope he gets very athletic and goes for the NBA :)

He's sweet with his granny. I think that's encouraging. He's just ten, and he knows he's 'odd' and that people stare at him all the time, that he can't run fast, that he will need surgery... a lot of things about it are negative so it's natural that he wants to focus on some of the things that actually are positive. Plus, he's ten. Ten year olds aren't really meant to be super mature yet ;).

he's literally 10 years old and acting more confidently humble than lots of adults; his attitude is AMAZING for a 10 year old, he'll be great@@Fnanaanf

What a cutie! I wish that since we're speaking of his size, we could have seen him in comparison to his mom, you (interviewer), other children his age, or maybe even just standing up..Him being the world's tallest child and loving the attention, I kept waiting to see his standing size, and not just seated..
