@@mrapple2544 You don't understand what I mean. I mean that he was so tall that his heart was having trouble bringing blood to his legs. That is why he couldn't feel the injury. And because he couldn't feel it, he didn't know that it was there. The injury later killed him.

I mean to be fair he died at 22, you don't really grow all too much after that, but maybe he could've gotten to 9 feet
He would have died from something else not much longer after. His heart would give, not able to breathe in enough oxygen, bones breaking too often as they are way to long, his joints would have worn away to the point that he’d die from pain, too much stretching of skin and muscles causing tears. The list can go on and on. I honestly think 6-6 1/2 feet tall are the best maximum as any bigger reduces life span and/or quality of life
And to think how preventable his death was
@@blanket4763 he would most likely not make it past 40. Being that size is much too miserable for a human and his joints, his knees especially would have been a wild and probably wouldn’t walk much and have many heart problems
@@the_very_cozy_burrito doctors had examined his bones after his death and found that he was still growing quite fast even at that age so he probably would've passed 9ft if he lived a few more months. Can't really apply normal growth patterns to someone with that condition

I think the implication is that modern medicine will find out what is causing this type of growth and then we would treat it but it isn't explicit in that explanation.
i watched a video on this once. the pituitary gland is now able to be fixed, and theres no reason to not fix it, because it's extremely painful to be that tall. It's now a normal procedure i think? idk. yeah, but can be fixed now
If I were to guess, I'd say that the record 'cannot be broke' because he died at 22 and could've potentially continued to grow if the unfortunate event didn't occur.

The cost was everything. Since the condition was never treated, he would have continued to grow meaning even more pain and health issues. The human body is just not meant to get that big. For starters the heart simply can not pump enough blood to sustain the entire body. And then there's the constant strain on all of your joints that simply walking could cause you to snap every bone in your legs if you're not careful. And the list goes on.
I can with very much confidence say as a European that 5’4 is not 2,45 meters

basically all these people are the height they are because of a pituitary gland tumour however because it can be treated (and is whenever a similar tumour os found due to the extreme complications of being so tall) its unlikely anyone will ever surpass robert wadlows height reached after a lifetime with an untreated tumour
