Hey hey what's up T. I like your goal for a old truck. It will keep your flea market van operational instead of putting a lift on it. Those massive snow blowers are no joke
I 100% agree with you. Your back is much more important. I was 31 when I lifted something that I did every day but I wasn’t standing perfectly straight and bent over and picked up and blew out my back. Had to have emergency surgery and never walked again. I’ve been a high paraplegic for 25 yrs now. A full life change for sure. And I was super athletic and was a runner but none of that mattered. Don’t ever take a chance with your back. Stay safe

Yes, Make a ramp. Also carry one of those sawalls (electric small saw) to cut up some of the metal in chairs for example so that more can fit in the van.
There are four sizes of goldendoodles standard, medium, miniture, and petite. Our boy is a standard. When he stands up to hug me he is at my face. He loves to give hugs! He also has a very deep bark but is really a sweetie. Never had a dog like this one in 71 years. We had a Golden retreiver before who passed at almost 14. As sweet as Goldens are this pup is even sweeter! He also sheds which they say doodles do not! Have to laugh at that as our boy leaves almost as much fluff as the Golden did.
I've got 2 goldendoodles. A standard at 75 lbs (all muscle) and a mini medium at 35 lbs. Smartest, kindest dogs we've ever had. And, yes they do shed, but a bit differently than most dogs. They shed in full curls rather than individual hair.
It's funny that you would mention Scrap and Pallet man. In the last video I watched he came across a snow blower that looked almost the same as the one you found. He does have a lift gate so he was able to get it in his truck.

If I was half your size I can get that in your van by myself. Use your brain. Lean the handlebars all the way back, so the bottom of the augur is up in the air, and set it down inside your van. Then lift up on the handlebars and push it inside.
You've found at least two ramps and always scrap them or sell them, if you had kept one you could have gotten that.

Have to find a way to attach a come along or electric winch to the cage in the van. It'll save your back and maybe allow you to get heavier items in there.
What about a used wheel chair lift for the van? Do you think that would work for the side door? Hope your buddy got the snow blower.
You need a lift system , kind of like what’s used to help people get into vans who are in wheel chairs .

I tackled getting my lawn mower into my van with a 2x4. It's really just a ramp, you only need to place wheels on one side and push. A board ,even wider could easily fit in the van maybe next to the noisy broom.
They do sell ramp kits that are really inexpensive. You use a 1 x 6 or 2 x 6 with the kit

Sometimes it might work to put the item up on the curb which would raise it about 5 inches and park real close. May be able to tip and slide it in. However, that snowblower looked really heavy. Too bad you don't have some kind of portable ramp. Hopefully Bruce can get there and pick it up. Thanks again for a great video.
Maybe if you had a HD rachet strap you could have attached to the roof, inside or outside and it may have lifted it in the van.
I bought a snowblower and had to pick it up and there was no way i was doing it without my friend. ... I guess you could buy ramps

You need an electric lift. It saves your back and you can get things in your van that you can't. We all worry about your lifting as you age. They time comes quick trust me.
I would got that in, Just dont think about the Weight. People pick up Cars.

I'll bet $$ that snowblower works just fine, maybe slight repairs, basic maintenance perhaps.
They have aluminum ramps or you can get the top plates and screw your own piece of wood into it. I use them for my van.

Keep your everest open for a tommygate lift sometimes people let them go cheap. Being that your solo it'd help you in a ton of situations.
Canadian treasure hunter on UA-cam has a lift in one of his vans that he calls the white whale. It's a wheelchair lift that really doesn't take up much cargo space at all.

The black dogs are known as Labradoodles.
Paul does have a lift on his truck! He also doesn't do flea markets just scrapping, Facebook marketplace and donates lots of stuff besides selling lawnmowers and snowblowers......
He has a guy that fixes the mowers and blowers.....

How about a ramp made out of plywood?
A folding aluminum ramp made for getting Motorcycles and ATV's into the back of Trucks would also work. They take less space than wood, and could be mounted on the ceiling or wall of his Van. It would be out of the way and be able to be used on the rare occasion he needed it. He also could mount a dolly rated for Washing Machines and Fridges on the wall or back door like you see sometimes with the UPS Step Vans.
The cobalt jar was Vicks ointment, aka an annoying disgusting eucalyptus-smelling grease. I'd call the black doodle...annoying! (LOL) Mouthy sucker. As others said, get a RAMP for the van. Or just two sturdy pieces of metal that are wide enough to work.
